Well.

I was wondering who else here mines with the lowly 7790. I do, because I could get them cheap and their noise/heat levels are very low (and higher-end cards were unavailable here due to the mining-rush Wink.

Now, the strange thing is as follows :

1000/1500 MHz (core/mem) : 219khash
850/1500 MHz : 250khash

Overclocking yields no gain in performance whatsoever, and often actually results in less khash than stock speeds even. Temperatures of the card always at every point stay under 59c.

My experiences with other cards (albeit limited) is that increases in MHz yield some increase in performance. I've tried various drivers, the 12.10 Performance drivers giving the best performance (254khash) but due to compatibility with a secondary card in the system I have reverted to using the latest 13.9 driver. The beta driver did not perform better, so I removed it for stabilities sake.

If anyone can shed some light on the 7790 case..would be welcome.
