Right now, the prices of tokens seem to be driven more by where the money bags decide to punt rather than the underlying project. That said Waves is established and I don't think it would die a quick death. In the end, reputation does matter.

A lot depends on how much adoption these new platforms gain VS the established ones

High-end platforms like Stratis will still continue to grow steadily in the business sector and waves is being utilized for more and more tokenized offerings each day

Lisk on the other hand is unclear as they're under going a re-branding soon

No, I don't think so. The nearest analogy for me is products for site creation without coding. Can you create your own site without coding? Yes. Will it be good and multifunctional? Hell no. Same with this ICOs.

Exactly! Yes, everyone can create a site now with free instant web builders, blogs with one-click Wordpress installs, even shops and forums, with all one-click. If that is the type of project and ICO you want, then no one is stopping you. See how our forum is littered with instant ERC20 tokens. An airdrop every hour, an ICO every day.

But you have a good idea? You need very good developers and coding experts. Just compare Stratis and Waves to those insta ICO tokens. See the difference even in how they look.

I think that the Waves have come to this market, not just to quickly cut down money. the team understands that this market has tremendous potential. so they are now laying a strong foundation, then to explode with marketing support. this is not a HYIP, but an organic development. the quieter you go, the further you'll get

No it wont make those coin death. The fact people will still use lisk for full java script project and stratis also have the die hard supporter. Waves has a new roadmap and it has leasing waves which a good feauture for holding the price if this coin. Liska lso on its way for rebranding. If those coin would die they die now already but it is not happened untill now. Every coin has its unique features

Even if these platforms cannot attract ICOs, I am sure that Stratis and Waves are profitable coins with high potential. Charts have proved it.
And there lies their trouble. All three are trying to get a share of Ethereums success. All three therefore are lacking solid economic grounds. Disrupting the disruptor? Vulture culture is a measly meal.
Some aren't even operational (only partially implemented) for assumed target area. They cannot attract, nobody would do any ICO based on Stratis, Waves or Lisk.

Hello guys  I was  wondering if  with  all these new upcoming  ICOs  with self smart-contract creation without the need of  coding skills, could it be the death of lisk, stratis and waves?

yes it could be possible and these past months we havent heard any news from those coins you've mentioned so probably they are slowly becoming forgotten by the crowd and all are focussing to the new coin/tokens because of these new ico's that seems verry trending today and got sympathy to the mass. but overall i still prefer those good old coins because they are stable and legit in terms of usage and trading purpose.
God bless, they sympathize with these ICO beggars and donate their money to ICOs. coins like Waves, Stratis and LSK are the coins making token creation and application creation easy, you really don't need skills in coding to create a token on Waves, I did it, imagine if a beggar and low life like me could create a token and even gets 50 people to apply for a free airdrop, what could professional scammers do with LSK and Ξ. lol exponentially.

STRAT, WAVES and LISK are all have great devs team behind the project with lot of community attention.  I don't think they will die off soon.  In fact some or all of them might turn out to be a very strong long term cryptocurrency/blockchain project.

No, IMO all 3 will survive at least 2-3 more years. All of them have communities, support and running projects on them and much cheaper transaction cost than ETH.

Waves and strat definitely not. They have a strong buy base and support. The other ICOs would really have to preform a miracle to make a dent in those two.

Those "old" coins have already proven that they work and that they have dedicated teams supporting them. New coins have to do that first to catch up or even take over.

If the new coins have advantages they will grab their share of the pie for sure, but as the whole crypto market can still grow a lot and I believe it will, there's room for many coins. It's always good to have competition and alternatives.

I believe Stratis is the strongest of the 3, just came out with an awesome new wallet and masternodes are on the way. Side-chain is going to be a game changer.

I keep seeing people talking good about waves? why? is it leasing that is attractive ?

Because you can creat easily new coin on waves. You can receive others coins just for holding waves. This is amazing oportunity!
Yes now it is not so much, but just need to wait!

I don't think that this means certain death for any of the three, however I do think it means that there is a very low chance of all three surviving if they are direct competition with eachother.  Pretty soon one will overtake the other 3, imo it will be waves but no one really knows.

After 1 year, most of the first 20 coins will fall to the bottom. Waves, lisk and stratis will take position in 50th order.

Which coins will replace them then? I wonder, they can fall down but some other coins need to go up to change ranks.
I think Waves stay in Top 20 for next 2-3 years. There's no big competition right now.

In my opinion Waves and Lisk will survive because it have super big money. And they have community.
But if in few next years newcomers will be doing more and more work for improving their projects, than possible it will dislodge Waves and Lisk. But chances are very small.

I don't know about Stratis or Lisk and I don't really care them but for Waves I can tell you that it's almost impossible to destroy it. Because people behind it are very serious. I know their work look lazy but system is working now and it's developed every day.

Definitely no. Waves don't have only one feature. Yes creating your own token feature might become useless but they are also promoting smart contracts and fastest working chain right now. If they could do this, definitely 0 chance.

Considering many Icos and Companies will be running on Waves Platform, Waves is only going to get bigger.

It depends a lot, the market will always need a remodelation about the proccess and how does the altcoins works, they are being a little bit outdated right now. Waves is updating their platform a lot, they are paying a lot of attention to their dex (anyway, it is horrible) but they are putting a lot of effort in there.
And lisk is still a young altcoin, nobody can predict what is going to happen with it, but if it doesnt get the necessary attraction, then it would die, just like a lot of alts did.

Almost certainly not, they will still offer the more premium service and so certainly will be used still.

But it always in the depends on the situation if still here or die . Lisk can also still here. Before I have startis but last few months ago I sold my startis because the price continue to decrease. I agree.  Same reason I don't own WAVES.

It is like comparing cup-o-noodle vs ramen from a noodle house. Wink
