Guys, this one is about Satoshi Nakamoto..

Sorry if someone has already asked this question.. but I just wanted to bring this up.

From what I know, Satoshi Nakamoto registered the domain name for this forum right?? I decided to check it on whois and you can see that the registrar is eNom and the domain owner details are WhoisGuard Protected.

If it actually was Satoshi Nakamoto who registered bitcointalk.org, does this mean that eNom have on file, the real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto and are keeping it secret???  Shocked Shocked
I think it will be better if we just accept the choice of satoshi regarding his identity. Its possibel that the domain name are used by fake identity. No matter who he is lets just be thankful to him. He want some privacy and lets just give it to him.

Maybe it's better for us to be blind all along to reveal who Satoshi Nakamoto is.
Because Bitcoin can be strong until now it has an anonymity about who owns Bitcoin and who is the founder.

Let Satoshi Nakamoto live quietly there, don't we find out who he really is.

I am kinda negative on this matter and I am not convinced that the domain registrar has the records on Satoshi Nakamoto. I dont believe it is Satoshi Nakamoto who made this forum since his job is to create bitcoin and the one who created this forum is tasked to create a community. Both of them have a different skills and technical abilities, therefore if we can trace the creator of this forum then we can ask him who really is Nakamoto since he is the missing link. But I guess it is not important any longer to know who is Satoshi, the most important thing is that bitcoin is increasing in value right now.

You can actually register a domain name using a made up identity. Since Satoshi didn't want to people to know him, he probably did this.

He could have used another identity when registering. Why don't we just stop looking for satoshi nakamoto, and respect his decision of not revealing his identity.

It is likely that the registration was performed from someone else's ip address and to someone else's data.

Do you really think that Satoshi Nakamoto is one person?

never thought that trying to reveal Satoshi's identity could be bad. but on the other hand, maybe he taught us something else. or who knows, maybe these creators knew about their future death, developed this product in advance and placed it later, shortly before his death, so that even if they identify, they could not do anything to them, or use them

There are so many conspiracy theories around that, lol. Some of the guys are telling that actually Satoshi Nakamoto is a fake name and for real the Bitcoin was invented by Illuminati.

Nobody knows and most likely will never know who is Satoshi Nakamoto, since the domain bitcointalk is registered with another person.

Why people bother of finding who is Satoshi Nakamoto? He doesn't want to be known by people. So be it. That is why he make sures to keep his information private. People should simply focus about his work. And appreciate the benefits and advantages they experiencing. If ever his identity be exposed, I guess it would be hard for him to deal with lots of issues concerning the bitcoin. Letd just give the privacy he wants. Maybe its for our own good also.

Bitcoin isn't a bubble. It's the pin!
I wouldn't want to deal with the guilt of exposing the real Satoshio Nakamoto. Imagine the extortion risk this person would face.

Exactly, we all should respect him by giving him his privacy. He created something wonderful for us all, leave him be I say.

The Bitcoin Forum was created by HDH Satoshi Nakamoto on 5 April 2007 on Simple Machine Forum. He created two Bitcoin Forums. He also created more than 30  accounts including 'satoshi' and  'sirius'. the first account is 'admin' second account was his real name but then he chosed to create the third account 'satoshi' which he used to launch the Bitcoin Talk Forum. If you need further information search and you will find it.

Thanks for info everyone.

I don't think so because there is no KYC policy when it comes to opening an account on here and I know there are ways of registering domains without ID as well so I highly doubt the real identity will be revealed this way.

why creation Date 2011-06-24?  Roll Eyes
This is the biggest proof that this ID is not linked to Satoshi Nakamoto. This site was created in 2009

I would like to quote this question that was directed to sirius regarding the forum and its management

1. Why did you handover the bitcoin.org and the forum to theymos? Did you know him? And why only to one single person?

I don't know him personally. He was made a forum and server admin back in 2010 because he had proven himself trustworthy and was able to spend time working on it. Bitcoin.org and bitcointalk.org domains are owned by someone trusted by Satoshi, while theymos has management rights. I resigned from the management, because I'm not active in the community and don't want to be involved in the politics. I don't want to say too much about the debate, as I'm not that familiar with all that's going on.

Personally, I did not care about Satoshi's identity, but theymos said he would share Satoshi IPs in the future.

I really don't like the idea that people still keep looking for the person behind Satoshi Nakamoto. Imagine what would happen if he was to be revealed. What could possibly bad that might happen to him? Well, a lot. Why not let's just enjoy the revolutionary protocol he leaves behind and try to educate other with proper knowledge on using it.

Anyone can register a domain name using a fake identity nowadays. And I don't think anyone knows the real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto and it is better that way. We should not try digging this more.

The domain name was not registered by Satoshi.

It was registered by Sirius.
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Sirius

Sirius founded the forum and still owns the domain name, so I would say that he owns it.
