Course it's not real....  It's someone using the old leaked email database again. The PDF is a PIF

Further proof: I signed up after the database leak.... lo and behold I don't have this email

What do the "documents" look like that it says to download?

My first wild-hashed guess would be bitcoin-stealing malware!

I've just got an E-mail from Gox, is this legit ?  ( I didnt open the attachment yet)

emails can easily be spoofed. I can even send you an email from [email protected]. Don't trust anything that is not yet announced.

>Via smtp.com

That's not even a valid attempt at spoofing. That's just a failure.

Too many grammar errors.

Besides that doesn't seem to be an attachment. It seems to be a link, probably to some phishing clone of mtgox.com.

Would not touch that.  The grammar is fucking atrocious, for starters:

Quote
...papers attached, we can...

Quote
...and send you what the balance to another Wallet Address

MtGox is terrible at most things - notably communication - but this stands out as really bad.

Definitely do not open the attachment.

I know that most of you wants to move on, and most of us seems to agree about the end of the bubble but stop for a moment and remember all the Goxing, I know that people who lost funds are so pissed off and I also know that known Bitcoiners and big holders came out the last couple of day asking us to just forget about Gox and the lost funds...

I am thinking about this for a couple of days, but to be honest, until we found out what will happen to gox and what will happen to the funds and where they are...

disclaim: I have not lost any single satoshi neither a cent there and I really feel for everyone who did, but I cant have peace without knowing what really happened, I cant buy what they are telling us, it just doesn't make any sense.
