If only. The scaling debate is far from over and a solution is far out of reach for the time being.

Miners will keep BTC in current state that LIKE that 1$ fees debate won't end soon.
Only ETH taking over position of BTC can make them change mind IMO to upgrade something.

BTC currently in development is in dead point miners want fees / devs don't want increase block size because less and less people will run full nodes.
Full nodes are essencial for BTC to be p2p currency not "pypal 2.0"
Blckchain as resource is expensive after while

That's really an good article which has clearly mentioned about the unification of the entire community which has been separated under several technology aspects causing a debate and now a conclusion for the same without things going one sided is simply an perfect way of making bitcoin grow bigger. This is the real and I don't think it as an April fools article.

The article itself is tagged under april fools....

Nice one with that article on an April Fools' day.  Grin . I can't believe that people are willing to create something like this and spend their time fabricating news/information about BTC just for the sake of Fools' Day. It might create unnecessary confusion to those who are new to BTC. Oh well, people are always free when it comes to communication in any terms. The part that it stated "Theymos to Resign" made me laugh a little bit.  Grin

Well, that's definitely something more interesting than I would have expected for April Fools. Definitely getting more and more elaborate as time goes on lol.

In a way I almost await for a serious article to come out like this, so I can stop having to check in on what both sides of the scaling debate are saying every few days, but in another way I guess it keeps me educated and relatively focused on what is going on.

Eh, good joke. I like it.

Why would Theymos want to resign from /r/Bitcoin, he is doing a fine job getting risk of all the Bitcoin XT shills and people who wants to sabotage

Bitcoin's progress.  Grin ..... The April Fool's are getting very create these day, sneaking in a jab at the mods.  Grin .... There are just no chance that

the two sides will ever come together to seek for a compromise.  Tongue
