So you know these people have become just as criminal as the hacker which is really surprising considering they all used to be pretty "above and smarter than everyone else" that they would never resort to these tactics. Funny how that works.. first HF to save their ETH investment but disguised as noble then try to use all these things ETH would HF out of on ETC to try to ruin a lot of people's ETC investment.
Doesn't this seem like the biggest hypocritical turn of events in the history of crypto?
The fact is the mods on /r/ethereum deleted the thread on reddit calling for the 51 percent attack. Although the censorship upset some folks most people seemed to agree that it was a horrible idea.
Unfortunately there are individuals on both sides of the debate making statements that many from their own side don't agree with. It's also unfortunate how some individuals making broad statements against either community feel it somehow gives weight to their point of view.
Since it was a very small group promoting this attack it hardly amounts to the biggest hypocritical turn of events in the history of crypto.
Before they removed it it was a top thread on /r/ethereum with a lot of upvotes and the comments were of mob mentality against ETC. Agreed it's hard to measure opinions of communities via forums as they can easily be gamed but that should at least be a indication the idea gained some support. And well if you read the comments you'd know it was mostly supportive of the idea. So I don't agree "that most people seemed to agree it was a horrible idea" because it was only a moderator removing the thread that gave a clear signal.
