If the hacker just has your password somehow, 2FA can help. If they have malware on your machine, 2FA won't necessarily stop them. They can just wait for you to log in with your 2FA and then have their way with your account.

But if you have to use an online storage, 2FA is the must.People use BTC for different purposes. If it's an investment then keep it offline.

Be vigilant! Change your email passwords. Make them longer. Use 2FA. Don't keep bitcoins in your PC. Don't use any personal info for paper/brain wallets.
