I wish you could achieve it, these may be more useful than making money!

If he can achieve them and put them to work,  it'll fetch him more money then he ever expected. @Harkorede i just one to encourage you as one of those who set their goals on my thread to go for them with all you got,  I just achieve my first goal, you can achieve yours too.  Good luck and don't forget to inform us when you do.

Looking back, I seem to have set similar goals, but unfortunately, most of them have not been realized. I wish you could achieve it, these may be more useful than making money!

Great goals for 2019!!

Those goals could certainly be achieved in 1 year if you really put some dedication.

When I was younger, about 14 years old I learned HTML and JavaScript alone, in the 90s, and later learned Photoshop and Corel draw.
Those languages and softwares evolved a lot over the years, but anyone can learn them even now if you have some spare time.

For your Blockchain study, I suggest that you begin here;

Good luck and happy new year!

This forum is all about seeking the knowledge that we don't have and sharing the knowledge that we have regarding Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. I am associated with this forum since past 4 years and experienced members are always ready to help in any scenario. In fact, I have saved my thousands of dollars just because I spent some time doing research before taking many decisions. However, I still find myself incomplete as there is a lot more to explore and learn and hence I consider myself as a newbie as it encourages me to learn as much as I can from this platform.

Great first sentence i agree 100% and im telling this people since at least couple years.
Knowledge is best way to earn in Bitcoin world.

About your goals for 2019. By me its a little too much on your plate for one year. I mean its possible to some extent but when you write that you want to become Expert or get to know some programs at advanced level. It takes way more than that. Best hackers study PHP whole their life and only then they are master level at it. They know it better than developers of PHP themselfs.
I would focus on one graphic program and one programming language. If you would achieve expert level in both, sky is the limit.

Yes, I'd agree that I might need to slow down a bit on some. I have already been familiar with PHP and MySQL programming for a long time (about 6 years) Just had to stop to focus more on my studies as an undergraduate since my course of study belong to Biological sciences and programming became more of a distraction than a knowledge adventure. My aim is to at least get to know PHYTON and JavaScript at a beginner's level, while other goals wouldn't be much time consuming for me due prior knowledge.

it really isn't that big a deal to be honest! it all depends on three main things in my personal experience,
- OP's background
meaning whether he has any experience in any of these applications or similar ones. for example learning a new programming language is easier if you already know another one.
- OP's capabilities
people at good at different things, some people struggle to learn how to work with a computer to the point that turning it on and off is a nightmare while others learn advanced things in a short time and become experts and all the rest in the middle.
- OP's free time
it all comes down to how much time you have to spend on learning all this. for example i have the first two criteria (have some experience also have the ability to learn a new complicated program in a short time) but i don't have enough time to spend on it.

be constructive or S.T.F.U
the forum is packed with knowledge, but the problem is the labeling/organizing of the content is terrible, this is not particularity an issue with bitcointalk, it's a problem with all forums.

so what happens is this.

people who post for money on (youtube, steemit, blogs etc) usually take their content from this forum.
The content is usually a sum up of a few posts that might contain posts with poor English , typos or grammar mistakes, they take that knowledge/content , rephrase it , put it in a better form and post it or make a youtube video on it.

unfortunately there is nothing much we can do about this.

but it is however underused these days.
It is mostly underused for two major reasons and one is cause of the complex nature of the discussions that go on in there, and most threads are hard to comprehend for a large number of users, thus it's best to stay away than make a fool of oneself with off-topic reply
Another reason is cos the board hardly allows for ads on it and since more than eighty percent of users are on a signature, they are hardly afforded the opportunity to converse in there

You quoted wrongly...
Thanks for the help, I couldn't quote properly simply because the thread was locked already. Thanks, once again.

True, BTT have grown to be more than just a forum built for the discussion of bitcoin to a learning library for all blockchain enthusiast. The impression that BTT is just a place to come and make money is the reason many users are getting frustrated by the merit system. I wrote a topic ones in the serious discussions board titled "Should bitcointalk play a part in educating its members?." you can visit the topic and read replies it'll help you understand more why BTT is more than just a forum

Yes, I visit there and the Ivory Tower(could read only) a couple times to just to read stuffs, and I could tell mediocrity isn't allowed in those boards, but it is however underused these days.

PS: Before analyzing this post with severe criticism please consider that; it was never supposed to be a topic but rather meant as a response to this Thread's Title and I had already posted it as a reply on the thread before I completely understood what the OP meant. So, I decided to delete it since it was somewhat off-topic from the message of the topic, but I think perhaps, it could be worth reading for a newbie in this section.

According to the topic; " What impacted your learning experience the most?"
I'd say Bitcointalk.org (Impacted my learning experience the most) and not just for the fun of it, I have learnt a lot about crypto excluding core technicalities here on the forum and even more than that.

The first Impression I had when I heard about this forum was that everyone is here to make some money but, along the line I have got to understand that the forum is way more than just a platform to earn.
It made me understand the best way to earn even better if you so wish is knowledge, I read and learn from the posts of the most respected members on here and that made me had more hunger for knowledge in vast fields and areas, because each of these members are more than just what meets the eye from Loyce's data analysis and statistics at a mind blowing level, Jet Cash's versatility with several websites and I read posts of him talk about phyton like an expert, Vod's programming (BPIP), Piggy (forum notification), Iasenko, OgNasty and others I can't mention that I have read a couple their posts an had the urge to learn at all cost, They all talk about several issues and not just crypto related at a very advance level and I feel intimidated to make even a comment that'd I think could get considered reasonable by such level.

And I'd gladly admit that it led to me having a "New Year Goals".

Even though being more financially stable has been a necessary goal for the new year to me, I have also set goals to acquire knowledge at a wider range.

MY GOALS FOR 2019
