Yes, we hold altcoins because of altcoins and IEO are future of investment. Like moozicore is really interesting project I invest in moozicore and I suggest you to invest in Moozicore.
Although, I agree that altcoins, but not all will still make headway, come what may, but I do not agree that IEO is the future. The rate at which IEO started compared to now, seems to be dwindling. Except there are other ways around it, to name the fundraising through IEO to be more effective.

The future is unprecedented and cannot be decide now what the future hold against the Altcoins and against the cryptocurrency in general. Most of these Altcoins will go down into extinction while some handful will survive the general huddle and stay on top on the game of cryptocurrency. Whatsoever you are holding against the future should be an Altcoins with a roadmap that's working and a workable product attach.

I bought S17 as well but a pro model. ETH is more usable and easier for mining I guess. S17 must work well, what's the problem?
I do not know, I bought my S17 on Ebay for a good price of 1300$ but seems it is a highly used one. It looks so used
That's why I recommend not buying on ebay, always better to secure yourself overpay and buy from official reseller.
I searched but not found any resellers in New Jersey, what resellers are you keen on?

It seems you are just trying to get more investors for the project you have invested your money of which no one see whatever multivate you to invest in the said coins or project. We all know that not all altcoins well succeed though not my prayer, but the intention of the developers who are behind the project determine its success some times.

You need to be serious when investing in altcoin. Because in 2020, I think more than 80% of altcoin will die. The BTC is currently dominating the market, and it will make weak altcoin die. Be careful with altcoin you are holding because it can die at any time
Find the right project before doing any participations with this type of investment, the market will bring you good outcome whenever you get involve, research and analyze every single information about coin that you'll going to invest your money, it will become profitable once you acknowledge the right project to support.
the right project is a very relative concept, and choosing such a project is now very difficult. A person has to go a very long way before he begins to understand which project is good and which is bad

Choosing a good altcoin for the long term is difficult because there are so many altcoins on the market. In addition, every day there are always new projects that emerge and offer advantages over old projects. At the moment, I prefer altcoin to trade in large exchangers and be in the top 50 coinmarketcaps
We just need to keep doing research and getting updates on any project that you invest in, even the top 50 coins in the market that you mentioned, there is still possibility of some of them also failing in the long run. The reason why a lot of coins are losing it is because there are too many coins in the market having virtually same product to offer the crypto community, and by the time investors comes to the market, they make diversification into so many coins leaving them all to have very low input in the market.

Look at Ethereum today, people are complaining of it not moving the way it used to be, but they forget that they are not the only one in the market, there are still other projects offering same services as them. If I had my ways, I would make sure all ICO registers, and then we have very few approved to run.

too much altcoin makes the market worse, especially those who fail, and only a few altcoins in my opinion have a future, the rest they will die soon
in the end it will be like that. projects left behind by developers certainly won't have good functionality, altcoin will survive if developers and teams can develop their projects properly. investors will not make choices with dead coins or do not have further price developments.

Altcoin is not a lot of interest and this is the main reason why most coins are present in this market at very low prices so sure this is the decisive moment for all altcoin. I usually consider carefully before making an investment decision but this year I will not do anything and will wait. Maybe I am afraid of investment but this year is a very bad year for this market

So many scams and shitcoins from alts who did ico back in 2017/2018. Most of them have even been delisted from exchanges and coinmarketcap for lack of volume in trades. Their communities have turned into a hive where spammers have a filled day of posting junks. Only a few altcoins are still operational today and they might be the pioneers for blockchain  and cryptocurrency use case in future

I think that there is definitely a future in altcoins, but not for everyone.  I believe that not everyone will survive.  And I think up to a large number of them and we do not need.  But they are definitely useful to us both for long-term investments and for the payment system.
Recently there has been noticed huge number of supporters in dump year but now after dip price is increasing and that's why I am sure future of crypto is really bright it is good to keep holding and never sell for panic. It will reduce the value so holding is the best solution I would say everyone needs to hold their investments.

The way I see it, is that you need to invest in altcoins who actually innovates either by making crypto easier to transact with (platform coins like: ARK, NEO, Ethereum, etc.) Or projects which builds on privacy, (XMR, DASH, Zcash)

The days are over for literal SHITCOINS with no purpose. You need to bring something to the table, like any real company (Just like the stock market basically).
The market needs to mature, and it's a long long process.

Personally I'm betting my money on Lightning Development for a couple of reasons:

Speed of transactions
Lower fees

A true gem, I've been eyeing is Stakenet (XSN) who's leading the development of Lightning with their upcoming Lightning DEX, and Lightning Multi Currency Wallet (With TOR integration for privacy).
I can see this project becoming really useful for transacting peer to peer, without the risk of getting your funds stolen in exchange hacks etc.
Also, no need for KYC, Registrations, or syncing up with their DEX.

Whatever you do, don't invest in projects with 0 to no development, and you should do fine once the market turns around Smiley

Now, which altcoin has a real purpose in our lives? A few that seems beneficial to people like Musicoin have very little support. Paying the artiste directly everytime listeners listen their music.

Until these projects shows tangible purpose, I believe many potential new joiners tend to refrain from diving in.

The rest of us are hodlers as there's little movement in the altcoin market. We need that spark, even how artificial it is, to get prices up and ourselves out.

That's the sentiment of many holders today I guess. Forget the whatever white paper projects.

Small time miners are affected too esp those mining eth with increase difficulty and reduced rewards.

I remember a time, when I watching every day how my portfolio grew by a thousand dollars a day, now it has almost no value.

While I still believe in the crypto technology, I lost faith in the crypto financial institution like exchanges.

Once too often we read of hacking and stolen coins and price manipulation by "whales". Even ASIC manufacturers are in the act, like Bitmain, are using the machine for a few months before selling customer as brand new.

So where does this leaves the rest of us who invest using FIAT currency to crypto coins. We become the bloody fools who at the moment cannot sell but not enough $$$ to continue investing.

We don't want Policing but it's a bloody manipulation on prices out there.

The cryptocurrency community is no stranger to accusations of crypto being a bubble. As far back as 2014, media pundits were referring to the bursting of the Bitcoin (BTC) bubble, with a Financial Times article from September of that year even containing the ill-fated prediction, "We’re going to stick our neck out at this stage and call this the end of Bitcoin."

~

Do you think this time bitcoin will be on it's ending ? I don't think so.
There were countless peoples in the past said bitcoin will end soon, but the reality is not like that.
Although bitcoin value now is not high as in 2017, it still have a good value in the market.

It's a lot to discuss about altcoins,  as the subject is very complex.

However,  I would resume alts in 2 main parts:
- sh*t coins => sell them as fast as possible while they still worth something
- strong projects ( Eth, Bnb etc) => hold them tight and accumulate more every time market drops significantly

Until now, the existence of altcoin still depends on bitcoin. I still believe that altcoin will always last as long as bitcoin is still traded. Maybe later there is an altcoin that is better than bitcoin technologically but I think bitcoin remains a benchmark
The existence of the altcoin still depends on altcoin itself and i meant about the result of development progress, the bitcoin is only determining the price of altcoin but it's also giving a huge impact to the volatility of the altcoin price. So many altcoin becomes dead coin and they have erased their own existences caused by they can't do a good progress.

I do not know what is going to happen is the future, nobody knows. I believe that crypto currencies will succeed and are going to be mass adopted one day, so I am collecting coins that already have a working product and are listed on at least 10 exchanges.
It's good that you observe liquidity for coins that are in the cryptocurrency portfolio. I believe that this is the main factor for a successful investment in Altcoins.

Altcoins will exist as long as bitcoin exists. People will use altcoin along side bitcoin. The values of the altcoins will also rise in the long run. It is only that not all altcoins will survive. There will be a lot of altcoins in the market, but people will be using only some selected few coins that are actually useful and has potential with good community support. All altcoins will only die if bitcoins cease to exist.

Bitcoin is the penny that leads this market and all other pennies are dependent on the price increase of Bitcoin. This market is easily controlled by whales because only small of information can make this market fall very quickly so investing in this market is always very risky. Personally, I am currently investing only in Bitcoin because this coin has great stability and has never made investors disappointed.
There is no investor that made the decision to invest in bitcoin that is not seeing as someone who is really prepared for the future, when I come to investment, bitcoin is really very good to be considered first, but it would still not be a bad idea for any user/investor to also look into altcoins for diversification purpose.

Any business man, does not rely on one source of income, and even if we don’t look at it in income side, technology wise, bitcoin cannot perform everything in the blockchain industry, do not forget that bitcoin presently cannot be modified, so there is no much chance or room for more technology features to be added other than the one already existing which will last for life, but there is still some new innovations from these altcoins that we can apply to our daily activities.

Depending on which altcoin. In the past 2 years, BTC has grown very strong, but most altcoin has died because they are really scam projects. There are no products and cannot be applied to life. Altcoin will continue to die in the future, and only a few really good altcoin will exist

market will choose the right alts to stay, and a kind of shitcoins will gone from the market for sure
thats why people should learn from the past to choose the right alts before investing

In my opinion, there is no guarantee that we hold the altcoin in the long run. moreover as we know that, many altcoin prices have dropped dramatically, but it is difficult to push up the price again.
If you do your research and you trust the team behind you'll find the confidence to hold on and wait for another bounced back, you need to consider that there's alts that will continue to proceed and follow bitcoin, the only thing that you needed to do is to chase it up and work with your good understanding, you can hold those top alts inside CMC and wait till the market grows again.
But most profitable altcoins may not come from the top ranks of coinmarket cap from my knowledge,so alt holder who is looking to make most need to follow many projects and pick the few to hold it for long term, atleast one will get hit and give profits for sure.

Keep holding. The future is yet to set for alts not to mention Bitcoin itself. Cant really predict the future, can we? Especially in cryptocurrency.
But at least of course we are not arbitrary in choosing altcoins. because we also don't want to get a loss from errors in choosing a projeck. we must avoid this carefully if we are interested in investing in the long term
I think that it is necessary to act in the middle term or in the short term. The cryptocurrency market is not predictable and I make decisions almost every day.
Now, this is the surest tactic for making money - to act daily. but if you are a long-term investor, then it makes no sense to work and act every day

It all depends on supports and resistance levels of bitcoins, yes based on bitcoin's price oscillations altcoins may have future.

If you look at the walls between some prices you will see that its not easy to go above some prices and go below some prices, now going below is always easier because since we moved past those prices just recently there are no walls too big and people haven't been putting up orders that big just yet and that is why it can always go back down, like maybe if you try to go back down to 4k today it would take a lot of bitcoins to sell but if you want to go down under 10k that shouldn't be a huge problem, yet if you want to go above 15k there are tons of walls that has been there since last year and that is why its always harder to go up since people have been waiting for that for a long time whereas it is easy to go down since its been already there just few weeks ago.

I am sure that the day when you decide to sell your Bitcoin, its price will decide to go to the Moon. With me, these things work. Probably, this is one of the reasons why I have decided to hold the cryptocurrency.

Finally, BTC will gain, and even sceptics know well about it. Therefore, do not get rid of your crypto now. Patience is needed - it is the keyword for any cryptocurrencies hodler.

Actually many new coins are good and have profitable future prospects. But indeed we must be careful in choosing altcoin as an investment because many altcoins are traded in 2014 but now they are no longer traded on the market or delisted from exchanger
You see why we need to invest in coins looking beyond now but future, that is barely 4 year that those projects has already failed, and I am sure that we will still have some projects now that in the next 2 years, they will not be known to the world again because they would have died. When investing in projects, we need to know that such project has the ability to last for a while in the market, and not just jump into investment because we see little volume on them.

Although most of these altcoins are just good for short term investment, we only have some coins that we can hold for long-term, and those coins still belong to that group called top 50 or we could extend it a little bit to top 100. There are so many altcoins I have now that I am just hoping to trade for a short period of time, while I continue to hold coins like BTC, ETH and many more of them for future.

Actually many new coins are good and have profitable future prospects.

being profitable is not the same as being a good coin. in fact most good altcoins are not at all profitable investments while the shittiest coins are the ones that give the biggest profits because of their biggest pumps.
and this is one of the biggest problems with the altcoin market. people caring only about making profit and eventually confusing the pump and dump coins with real projects with a good future.

I agree, for a good altcoin sometimes it cannot be used as a short-term investment because of the price movements that are not too volatile. Indeed, many altcoins are only pump and dump but cannot be used as long-term investments. If I have to choose, then I prefer to invest long-term because for shitcoin we know when pump and dump starts and sometimes we experience big losses

In my opinion, there is no guarantee that we hold the altcoin in the long run. moreover as we know that, many altcoin prices have dropped dramatically, but it is difficult to push up the price again.

I think it depends on the altcoin, each coin will be judged by what they bring to the table and they are already judged like that right now so it will continue.

At one point in history of altcoins there was a stage where anyone could open a new ICO and get funding, hell I could have created one website and couple social media accounts and could have got 100k+ funding right away, all I need is a professional looking website, someone to write a decent whitepaper and a designer for 100 posts on social media, that would cost less than 1000 dollars in my country and I could have made x100 for it.

Nowadays, coins are not loved that much, only the top 10 gets attention because people are sick of smaller altcoins not doing anything or not improving so they are focusing on only the coins that actually has some use.

I believe the future holds great for a few altcoins but certainly not all.  I only accumulate altcoins with very good project development for long term. Talking about crypto being a bubble, this has proven those analysts wrong many times and will still prove them wrong in future. Let's just know the altcoins we bag for long term hold.
Which is why its best if we only invest on very good projects only, the time for lucks has past and now action talks more than words, investors should be the ones to take the right path

I think that crypto has a promising future. Of course, not all projects will live, majority will cease to exist in process of delisting. Only those projects that have a demanded product and a large community of users will remain on marketplace.

Altcoin centralization isn't going to make Altcoin future bright. I agree there will be great altcoins in the future but they definitely won't come from centralization platforms and still succeed in long run... *Referring to something in your last paragraph.*
The altcoin will always come to the centralization, as you can see there was a lot of assets that's not using its own blockchain already used by so many people. The success of altcoin depends on the team because this is the main part that can determine the future of altcoin.

I can´t imagine that 10 cryptocurrencies will exist at the same time, not even 3000. Maybe we should divide cryptocurrencies on platforms (Like Ethereum) and solutions build on these platforms (Like ERC20 tokens).

Like fiat currencies, crypto also has various kinds of coins that we often call altcoins. Crypto skyrocketing in 2017 can be said as the altcoin season, where ico sells well and various coins reach its ATH. But over time, not all altcoins can be as successful as their previous ico, even today the price of their coins cannot reach the price of the ico. Sad, for sure, therefore not all altcoins are feasible and promising to be hold in the long term. I personally prefer old coins and have their products or platforms that are always used by the crypto community.

Actually many new coins are good and have profitable future prospects. But indeed we must be careful in choosing altcoin as an investment because many altcoins are traded in 2014 but now they are no longer traded on the market or delisted from exchanger

you are confusing or intentionally misusing a couple of things with each other. there is a difference between media calling bitcoin a bubble, bitcoin being in a bubble from time to time, and altcoins being big bubbles.

media is usually full of shit and is just posting clickbaits and should not be taken seriously.
as for bitcoin, it has bubbles at times and they can not be denied. for example the $20k price  was a big bubble but that doesn't mean you  can call bitcoin itself a "bubble" at any time and expect its price to fall!
and you can't make the same conclusion for altcoins just because bitcoin is not a bubble! that doesn't work like that. every project is stand alone and we have more than 2000 altcoins in existence most of which should not even be alive which means they are in a 100% bubble and need to be destroyed not just dumped! additionally there are a lot of altcoins that are currently worth a lot more than their intrinsic values specially among top 10 altcoins which make them in big bubbles.

It will take forever for them to realize that crypto currencies are not bubbles so we don't have to wait for anyone's proof just invest on our own based on our affordability.

Perhaps the word cryptocurrency will undergo changes and we will get a new meaning of this word, which many will call breakthrough technology as a blockchain, but for this you need to pay more attention to security so that users are sure that their funds are reliable and to break the cryptocurrency was very difficult. Then perhaps many states will begin to accept new coins as a means of payment, I look forward to it with impatience.

Well, Bitcoin certainly didn't end in 2014, but this hasn't stopped other experts and commentators from throwing the word “bubble” around with gleeful abandon in the half-decade since the cryptocurrency's prematurely reported demise.
Most of us are aware of the incredible growth of Bitcoin in 2017. The success and hype around the currency were undeniable. To this day, Bitcoin stands to be the best-known currency in the market even though it is currently hovering at barely a quarter of its highest rate, i.e., $20, 000 in December 2017. The term “altcoins,” on the other hand, means all the alternative currencies that are not Bitcoins. And hundreds of altcoins were launched after the success of Bitcoin. Many different peer-to-peer currencies emerged in an attempt to replicate similar rates of success.

To further understand the future of altcoins, it is fundamental to fathom the underlying features of cryptocurrencies. These are the digital assets that are designed to function as an exchange medium which makes use of strong cryptography to protect the financial transactions, transfers the asset certification and to keep a hold on the creation of supplementary units. It is a decentralized system and works by blockchain which is a distributed ledger technology. In layman terms, this technology keeps track of the location of each coin. Forgery is close to impossible, and it also prevents people from spending the same coins more than once. The future of Altcoins are very bright due to the reason of IEO's because in the crypto world the trust of projects matters a lot, it helps in raising the price of tokens in every project.https://tokensale.moozicore.com/
