2014 - China bans bitcoin, value plummets to $2, markets retract and BTC becomes virtual gambling site money

China already banned bitcoin (several times), yet the price remains relatively high!

The bright future of bitcoin is possible only when we have enough people caring for that. Right now, 99% of the community is speculation-based. You see what's happening. First sign of rally and everybody rushes to sell.

This is why I want to see it at 100 for many months now.
Price would be still high not to allow buying many, but also low, making the greediest in a loose position. I want to see grinding of expectations, hopes and characters. Only after the weakest are weeded out we can resume.

I'd like to think that 100 years from now Bitcoin is used to save funds and some transactions but there will be a new coin that has major improvements that works hand in hand with Bitcoin.

3050 - Bitcoin is standard form of payment in our galaxy and has ended inflation, recessions and wars.

Ha! I'm definitely a bitcoin supporter and investor, but I would hope that by y3k we have much better crypto-technology than bitcoin. For example, something that allows you to store your coins on your computer without having to download 15Gb of blockchain data.

I like how bitcoin always ends up helping the people..

I am not a big fan of how our fractional banking system can only end one way.... 99.999999% of the population dirt dirt dirt poor debt slaving them sevles out to a few 100 people...

200M dollar one btc in 2020? i doubt that, more like in 2050 or something

You're assuming the USD will keep its current value compared to other Fiats and gold. That is rather stupid, no offense.

2020 - A Satoshi is worth $2
Consumers browse Amazon using virtual reality headsets.  They pay in Bitcoin.  The product is 3D printed while they continue to browse.

2050 - A Satoshi is worth $2.50 and has gained stability.  Transactions within the moon colony are only conducted in Bitcoin, which is the primary form of payment for purchases in space.

2070 - A Satoshi is worth about a pint of beer. There are no other currencies in existence.

2090 - The earth has been destroyed by an asteroid.  Aliens make contact with the moon colony to learn about Bitcoin.

3050 - Bitcoin is standard form of payment in our galaxy and has ended inflation, recessions and wars.
