Call it naive idealism. But I believe there is potential in the cryptoworld to evolve and eventually emerge somehow for the common goal. Yes there is the status quo: at least under the surface every different alternative currency wants to eat all the others alive and preferably make a quick buck on the way to even greater world domination. But still there is also such an undeniable intelligence involved in the development of different coins and currencies, that wouldn't it be silly not to believe this critical mass of brain and intelligence would not eventually come up with ways to benefit each other and really take the crypto culture to next era. The first era being competing blockchains.

I don't have insights to the future of computing or cryptography etc. I'm rather analog man. But I'd like to ask from those who have some deeper knowledge on this topic is there any evident barriers that would rule out this kind of development in the future? I can't see any on the philosophical level. Or will it just be all dull darwinism, only survival of the fittest?
