There's something big going on with our planet. I can feel it, sense it in my bones. As we start to cloak the world with smart sensors, we're bringing Earth out of its slumber. Think of a world that can sense changes in real-time. We're giving Earth a very human quality: the ability to perceive information.

When our planet uses sensors to learn about itself, it can gather real-time data from the seas to the skies of Earth to inform our public policy. We can place sensors on satellites and other vital systems to monitor our changing weather patterns and sea levels. The world will have its own nervous system with the ability to mitigate and adapt to a changing climate. It would truly be the "Great Sensor Awakening of Earth"!

In these large swaths of data, futurist Jason Silva sees a world that is better able to heal itself. We can embrace our roles, as Buckminster Fuller profoundly states, as the "Captains of Spaceship Earth". Want to find out more about this Great Sensor Awakening? Click the video link below!
