Poverty is perspective. Our world with current technology and resource can easily handle the current population with ease.

The higher the poverty, the higher the chances of corruption. Corruption occurs when there is more hate than love for the country. Politics will be dirty thus poor people suffers more.
Waking up in the morning and not knowing how to feed yourself or your family does things to your psychic. You become desperate and some might result to low means of getting money - the situation brings out the worst in people.

In some countries there are kings who rule. They are the government.
In other countries there are dictators.
Other Countries have dictatorial governments where the whole government is the dictator. This is what democracies are, more or less.
America is not a democracy, although some people are trying to get Americans to believe that it is. Well, what is America, then?
America is something different than any other nation in the world. America is a nation of kings and queens - every American is one - ruling side by side, completely sovereign and free. The biggest problem with America is that most Americans have forgotten this, or never knew. It's time for them to wake up and find out.

They should be punished, reward is not a reason to betray your own country. Remember there are many good things that our country did to us. Gives us our identity, etc... Most people don't know that it's super easy to find domestic enemy collaborator the higher the poverty level and the lower the job security... If someone doesn't agree to betray his nation (gmos, bad laws, conspiracies, military secret what ever) if he knows the economic situation to be precarious the will have all the incentives to collaborate.
