I don't mind the led show,
but maybe there could be a 'dark mode' as an option.

Cool,
the LEDs in the miner modules make a nice night time show Cheesy

Yes, it is LEDs night dance))
What do you think, is it necessary to introduce the mode of operation of the convector so that there are no light effects from the LEDs?

This is a very cool project I recall hot-mine from a few years back whatever happened with them?
Last I saw they were building some kind of boiler system with the chips is that project now finished or is this the next stage of development?

I look forward to reading more about this and keep up the good work.

Thank you! Hotmine have been working continuously since 2013, we just have not publicly covered our development so actively. Do you mean a boiler for heating a house? Yes, the development has been completed and now the boilers are actively working, heating houses. More information can be found on our website: https://hotmine.io/ru/catalog/5. So to say, there is a product, but sales have not gone.

And about the Convector Miner - this is our current development on new chips.

The convector is running!

Everything is working. Watching. 62 W/TH - one of the best efficiencies obtained 8.26 THs / 515 W
There are questions about modes programming on the way Smiley

After a series of successful tests and settings. We installed the Clarke boards on radiators and fixed them in the convector case.

After setting up the software for the new board, as well as activating all the chips on the board after a brief test (30 minutes):
 - the temperature of the radiator (one of three temperature sensors) reached 82 * C
 - the planned current 9A;
 - the voltage on the power supply unit 11.9V;
 - mining from the entire module 1.68 TH (33 chips) = 51 GH / sc on a single chip.
Temperature and current to keep steadily.

We went clearly to the planned characteristics of the basic (minimum) operating mode of the convector.

For an hour of work - everything is stable.

The board gives 1.7 TH, one chip gives 51.6 GH, consumes 104.4 W

 Cool Wink

Thats an interesting project, is it possible to implement such thing in a place with high humidity?
High humidity is very bad for electronics, especially if it will turn off periodically.
Working humidity for convector is 20~90% RH non-condensing.
For increased humidity conditions you can look at the boiler-pump WX12 on our website or use Fancoil

Ok,
So did I understand it correctly?

With 0.05 cent electricity price,
if household heating benefit is not taken into account,
it will take roughly 1800 days to make even,
if the numbers stay the same and if the miner retail price is 1.8k USD.

Yes, it is sounds correctly. That's why it is a convector, that will compensate for the same cost of "consumption per day". Thereby, several times faster returning the cost of equipment.

Hi everyone! Smiley Today we made a calculation of the Convector's mining profitability in different modes. We took two electricity prices as a basis: $0.05 and $0.1. We suggest you familiarize yourself with the calculations  Cool

Option №1
Electricity cost - $0.05

Maximum Convector Operation Mode, 11 TH / 900W
1) daily income - $2.15
2) consumption per day - $1.08
3) daily profit - $1.07

Optimum Convector Mode, 8 TH / 600W
1) daily income - $1.56
2) consumption per day - $0.72
3) daily profit - $0.84

Minimum Convector Operation, 9 TH / 550W
1) daily income - $1.76
2) consumption per day - $0.66
3) daily profit - $1.10

Option №2
Electricity cost - $0.1

Maximum Convector Operation Mode, 11 TH / 900W
1) daily income - $2.15
2) consumption per day - $2.16
3) daily profit - "-$0.01"

Optimum Convector Mode, 8 TH / 600W
1) daily income - $1.56
2) consumption per day - $1.44
3) daily profit - $0.12

Minimum Convector Operation, 9 TH / 550W
1) daily income - $1.76
2) consumption per day - $1.32
3) daily profit - $0.44

Calculations were done on the website http://whattomine.com, thanx!

Hello, dear visitors to this page.

In the production process, an idea came to make a mini-convector based on a single module. So it will be interesting to people who have $400 instead of $ 1,800.

Let me remind you that the convector consists of 5 modules, each with Clarke 33 chips. The retail cost of the convector will be around $1,800.

What do you think?

Do you think it is better to transfer this branch to the "hardware/mining" board? Will it increase the views or is it better to leave as it is in "project development" board?

Hi there!  Smiley

Yesterday we connected a mini-computer and a control board to a board with chips of previous development - U6. We did this in order to test the operating states of the indicator lights in a running mining process. Roll Eyes New boards based on Clarke chips are in production, but will come to us in a month at best.

Also yesterday we tested the control board of the miner, where the settings take place, and also the states of the convector miner is displayed.

The photo shows a translucent white window, under it will be lights. Also we embedded a power button:

Control panel:

Convector's working conditions, on the left blue lights on the video: https://youtu.be/nLWmbqwKE94
The next step is to connect all the led's on the one board. And it will remain to build led's under a translucent window.

Today we got the convector's body from painting. We installed radiators, power supplies, hardware, we are waiting for only the boards based on Clark chips from production:

This is going to replace antminer because this technology is the double purpose, you are not buying this device or machine to mine Bitcoin but to experience the benefit of heating your apartment, and this is going to be a big threat for antminers,.
Wow,
Very cool to find this thread!

This could be a great replacement for guys who have a Antminer R4.

And a great device for heating instead of a normal electric conventional heater.

Would there be any chance to have a demo and write a review?

I have done it in the past with the Hotmine X5 upg. kit and Hotmine X6 miner.

An interesting find! We are developers and equipment manufacturers. Smarheat is one of our many partners and distributors for our products. In 2016, they received from us, as from manufacturers, the right to distribute our products for one year, until 2017, but then we stopped working with them. In the picture that you sent above this is the first version of the server, also we have 2nd and 3rd version. Also in partnership with smartheat, they made for us only case for the 3rd version of heater (2016), but we did all the R&D for first one (2013) and the second (2014).
This does not explain why smartheat.io have the same product picture as you do. If the picture above was the first version then why is smartheat.io using it and not their actual products you have sold to them? Things really don't add up as Smartheat is also a russian manufacuturer and distributor which earlier you have claimed in your other posts that you haven't heard about heat convection miners in Russia.
Same assumptions if smartheat is one of their partners or distributor and even tell that they do have lots of partners i cant even see another same product when trying to search out its only smartheat which
i do presume that they do just dragged out that picture and the original seller is smartheat itself. What you think? Grin
At this point I wouldn't assume on who's product belongs to who but so far they are not complying to what I asked for which was a really easy task all they have provided is just a screen recorded mobile phone scrolling to a bunch of mining equipment which at any point does not connect them in anyway being the owners of the mining equipment. Don't you think that there is a possibility that these people, Hotmine, just stumbled a bunch of mining equipment from a unknown manufacturer and started taking pictures and claim that its theirs.

With their latest posts in their other thread they just watermarked the old photos I am talking about which does not prove anything about them being the owners of the mining equipment. Again they already gone the trouble of creating a Youtube video and even watermarking their existing pictures then why can't they provide a written company name tag on their alleged mining equipment and take a picture of it?

Here is the promised photo of the rest of the server version one that lies in our warehouse. There is no marking on it, so providing you a printed company logo on old peaces of mining equipment:

In addition to an entire album of photos of the development process, you would not believe on video and photos earlier, it's proof that we are the manufacturers of the equipment.

I like the idea itself quite well, because I have already thought about something like this. Since I can only heat my apartment with electricity, I also thought about such a solution. Unfortunately, I didn't go on with the idea, but it was nice to see that other people really put it into practice. I wonder if such a system is really enough to heat my whole apartment with it and what about the noise nuisance? Is such a mining-heating very loud?  Smiley

Well, look. Previously, in miners, power supply units and coolers for heat dissipation were noisy, they were active, with fans. There was a double noise. But in this development there will be a power supply with passive cooling, as well as specially designed radiators, which also passively remove heat from the chips, that make calculations, through the upper openings of the convector. So, it will be completely noiseless Smiley

Ah, now I get it. Thank you for the explanation. That's of course a great idea and noiseless is of course great too. Without the noises, the project becomes even more interesting. I will definitely keep an eye on your project, because i am very interested in it.  Smiley

Thanx! Smiley

This is a wonderful idea for people living in a cold climate especially in Iceland but not here in my country a tropical country, they have done the right making this product because this is going to be in demand when the top currency price get up and people wants an alternative to their heating equipment.

Exactly! Where the temperature drops to 20 degrees Celsius and below, the convector miner is useful there.

We use the Raspik computer in convector development (Raspberry Pi 3, green in the photo), which provides the output of the convector to the network via wifi, as well as the control board - it connects all the boards that make the calculations. But these are just a few of their main functions. Want to know more, ask questions Smiley

We also worked on a convenient indication of the device operation states. And in the end of the week there will be a demonstration of the work of indicator lights.

Then we will build it into the body of the convector, which is now in production.

Okay, I don't understand the fuss going on above but this is the first time I've come across this product and would like to criticize it.
 - The product takes additional space in the room, kinda not suitable for small apartments I guess? Or does your product comes with a heater which will replace our original heater?

 - The electricity costs will bounce off much higher after installing that one right?
 - Since you will be making 'money' off it, wouldn't you have to pay commercial electricity charges?

Finally, questions about the heater Smiley

- Yes, it is suitable for small apartments. You can hang on the wall or put on the floor. Last approved size 1200x400 (mm) or 47,2x15,7(inch). Here is last drawing:

The first finished demo model expected in mid-April. From the first model we will develop further.

- in maximum mode will be approximately 900W - 11 TH/s; the most effective mode of operation is 550W - 9 TH/s;
operating mode 600W - 8 TH/s; consumption indicated by 220V ("from the outlet")

The mode will depend on the air temperature in the room - the lower the temperature - the more power consumption and more performance in TH, but worse efficiency. So we will float within these limits: 550-900W 8-11TH/s. These data were obtained when testing new chips and a new board that was specifically designed for the convector.

- So you will heat your appartment and make btc! At a cost of electricity of $ 0.05 per KWh, convector would mine 0.01btc / month or it is about $ 16.00 / month for today (in the operating mode 600W - 8 TH/s;). Not only free heat, but also bitcoins. Prices may vary depending on the cost of electricity.

Well for me it isn't enough you already have undergone the trouble of uploading the Youtube video just right now but you didn't do the request that I asked for which is putting the company name in your "first version" of the mining equipment which both you and smartheat is using.
Present video with those mining equipment together with those convector with company name will do but i doubt he wont able to grant that request.

In the branch with the history of Hotmine (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.49947111) there will be two more versions, have patience Smiley

To confirm, here is a video from our CEO on the Hotmine youtube channel, which shows the process of developing in slideshow:

Also video from our old youtube channel with some parts of 2013 mining equipment:

I have find the original photo, added watermark and updated post above. I think it will be better. Thanks for the experience, we will do better posts.

What do you want from me?)
1) prove that selo account is authorized to communicate on behalf of hotmine?
2) prove that the hotmine is a developer of mining equipment with a useful heat application?
3) for what reason photos of the equipment from the object on two sites?

Answers
1) selo is the opposite of Oles name - CEO - hotmine
We can also post this story on hotmine.io within 3 days in the blog section if you need proof.

2) the video that you provided shows a photo album showing the process of creation (engineering thought of the first miner heater).
This proves that we are developers. This is the fastest way that we find.
If you want, fly to us and we will introduce you to the team.
    And who are you?

3) This is our photo. Photos from the object. We have provided our partners for placement on the site. Please note that this equipment was relevant in 2013 - 2015.
Now other equipment is relevant. Exactly for this we began to lead a new branch.

This is not really a new idea, russian companies have been making something similar to this for a couple years now

Moreover, apparently this is the same company ...

Why is this website have the same product picture to yours as well? I won't be tagging you as of the moment as the smart.io website is still pretty new and I don't know who's who and his pic seems to have the original size. But you need to provide more pictures of the same mining equipment for me to believe you along with a paper sign saying "Hotmine Company" or your product's name. If you don't respond to my request I'll turn my tag red in the coming days.
