those are confirmed true, though not as fun or accessible to the masses.

I would test it much further from this concrete shore and boats Wink

I accept the consolation prize.
Where can I pick mine up?

You can pick it up here http://www.jetpackamerica.com/jetlev-r200    Oh, almost forgot, you need to give them $80,000 before you can pick it up.

I have not clicked the link yet I just wanted you to know that if this is a joke I will not be happy.  I've waited far to long for this day and will not have you play with my dreams and emotions...    Cheesy

I initially posted it thinking it was real, but it turned out to be a hoax.  I was thinking "no way this is a joke, look at all these celebrities involved and Tony Hawk".

the one thing from that movie that is being made is the auto lacing shoes.
while its somewhat of a good idea, i dont see it being all that practical.

a hoverboard is a simple design, negative on negative poles = lift.
however you'd have to have a very large grid under you, then on top of that, simply thrusting your foot in air would do nothing more than move air.
you'd still have to touch the ground with your foot to make the board move.

turning would also be impossible since simply moving the board would have zero effect on the direction you would go.
this is why we'll never have hoverboards that aren't at least powered by some propulsion device, like the bulldog or pitbull board biffs son (griff) flew on.

kind of crazy how i remember all their names

a lap giraffe would be awesome.  possible through genetic modification?

edit:  actually, it would only be awesome for a few minutes.  then it would poop and pee everywhere and have all the other nuisances that come with keeping a furry animal at home.

if you will be lucky Smiley

2028 - anti-gravity ... maybe Smiley hell know.

But this is just not too easy to be done.

I think this a hoax. Anti gravity is not yet invented.

+1
Definitively HOAX !
Think about Mercedes / BMW / Ferrari / Porsche /... , or how this hoverboard will make useless the roads / railways..
I think the military will don't miss the opportunity to put a heavy tank to a hoverboard too  Wink

It doesn't have to be anti-gravity, it just has to have enough force to overcome gravity and some weight on it. You know thats how like airplanes work? And helicopters?

yeah like being hung out to by cords to a lift like they did in the video and just retouched the video to delete the cords

With that thickness and compactness you cannot compare it to an airplane or helicopters without moving parts and that vehicle to payload ratio did not exist yet.

Yeah you can.... just scaled down. Its like saying the huge computers of the 1930's and phones of now are comparable. Perhaps the analogy was stretching the truth, but you don't need antigravity.

Even if it is a hoax the technology actually exists to create a real one. It is not really that difficult to make something float like that since there is metal under all concrete then using reverse magnetic technology with an electromagnet would make it float. And depending on the strength of the electromagnet used would determine how much weight it can hold then all you would need to do is find a good way of turning it on and off.

I'm not sure the technology exists fully yet or how workable of an idea it is. It's really not as easy as your explanation.

No its not anti gravity..! but we all know we can beat gravity by using technology.. aren't those Planes are flying in air they are not anti gravity but still flying by using technology, this may be a hoax but I'll not get surprised even if i see this thing with my own eyes because it might happen in coming years or maybe a lot earlier because the technology is growing at very high speed, always remember that Hardware stays around 10years ahead of software ..!
