I still have high hopes for BTC, and I'm sure BTC will create Bullish.

this is good news for me, after the battle is over, BTC will create a Bullish market, one of the factors that can make BTC create Bullish is institutional investors.
but they are very careful when accumulating new assets, their choices are not long-term trends.

but, quantitatively, it proves that institutional demand for crypto is very large and institutional investors accumulate BTC.

Certainly large entities have advantages, including large investments
But this also needs to be entered into as many masses

I think that institutional investors are already on the market, just now everyone is waiting. To give green color for the market as a whole

The smartest money buy bitcoin on every drop because they know what they are doing. They not just HODL, but passively increase they assets. Have you seen that https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/amkapro-risk-free-passive-income-on-your-btceth-trading-bot-with-a-guarantee-5073747

STOP SNITCHIN'

I can't find much information on Nasdaq's plans, but from what I've read, they're just planning to offer cash-settled futures like the CME Group. That won't have much of an effect on price since there is no direct arbitrage opportunity.

Bakkt's markets might be more relevant since they'll be physically settled.

While I still believe that they will play a major role in the next bull run, I am not expecting them to be full-blown cryptoheads in the short-term future. Most of them are just wanting to stay on the sidelines and not get their feet wet by looking into the futures market and just stay there. It'll take a while before they go on and disturb the actual market, but for now, establishing platforms for futures is what they're busy doing atm.

Indeed, asset managers have indicated there isn't much institutional interest yet. Further, it seems like the major investment banks are only interested in providing trading infrastructure for their clients right now.

There's also the flip side to consider. If physically-settled markets are combined with leverage, Wall Street may be able to manipulate the Bitcoin market. They can play the short side too.

So far I consider that there is no way to prove this with being anonymous and decentralized, it may be that if institutions are involved, although I would not be surprised either, since bitcoin has more lucrative attractions than transactions, we will see how well the institutions are doing at the moment and we will see how involved they are in this downturn.

I would like to think that with the next bull run these "institutional investors"
will be looking to take advantage of a possible soar in value to make gains
short term. They wont care about 5 years from now, it will be until the run
ends. They have the revenue to amplify what happens with the market
more so than many of us could even with an orchestrated effort.

I don't know where you got the information that a bullish trend is bound to happen, but it seems to me that you are too confident in your opinion on this issue. A bullish trend can't just happen. This requires certain and quite specific conditions, which are now simply impossible in the light of the events taking place now in the market. If you have other information, please share it and we will discuss it.

The entry of institutional investors in crypto space will certainly help the market as they will add liquidity to the market in large amounts. Also their holdings will be taken out of the circulation which will again create demand in the market. So that's a positive for sure.

However, with millions of investment, institiutional investors will have a good amount of control on the market as well. This is what I am worried about! Once these big investors will have controlling interest in the market, that may create issues for the small investors like us! But as of now, we need fresh liquidity in the market which only institiutional investors can fulfil with their large coffers.

Institutional investors are on to something else and not directly bitcoin: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-11-27/nasdaq-is-said-to-pursue-bitcoin-futures-despite-plunging-prices?utm_campaign=socialflow-organic&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_content=crypto

indeed we still have to hope that bitcoin will again become bullish again, even though we don't know when that will happen, and of course other altcoins will also become bullish again, indeed investors who are now more observant and more careful about their investments will start do it, so we still have to be optimistic that the bitcoin price will return to bullish again.

How many times are we going to hear about "institutional investors". I feel like pretty much every day for a year or more someone is promising that big institutions, banks, hedge funds, Wall Street, you name it, are just round the corner.

While some "institutional investors" have a bigger appetite for risk and they may already have Bitcoin, some are more conservative.

Exactly. Given the market movements in the last days and weeks, these investors aren't coming near bitcoin for the time being. They might as well be taking their investments and dropping them all on black on the roulette wheel. If you want the price to rise, it can't be dependent on waiting for these mythical institutional investors to arrive. Price rise comes with widespread adoption, and widespread adoption starts with us using bitcoin today. Stop holding and start using.

While some "institutional investors" have a bigger appetite for risk and they may already have Bitcoin, some are more conservative.
The conservative ones may wait for more regulations or may wait to see the price on uptrend again.

So Bitcoin is still bearish while waiting for investors; the investors may come in only after Bitcoin has turned bullish; it sounds like a possible deadlock to me.
