wait.. jetcash buys own-brand meat from a retail chain..
i thought jetcash's life was all roadkill and nettle soup.

if jet cash really did live the nettle soup lifestyle he has pretended to on this forum. then he should not be so upset by anything a retailer does, as it doesnt apply to him

oh wait. i get it. he pretends to be a nettle soup herbalist. but reality is he buys normal food from normal retailers
..
i know last year he outted himself.. saying he a naturalist, not putting poisons into his body. and yet then admitting he borrows the internet while he is a retain chains cafe, drinking coffee

if only jetcash did live the naturalist lifestyle of only buying from local farms. maybe he wont be so angry

meanwhile this morrisons deal has nothing to do with chicken. and has more to do with Wine

So why have they done it?
$$$. That's the motivation for any business decision.

that dreadful fake meat that we are told we must start to eat.
Do you mean the chlorinated chicken etc, or the vegetarian imitation meat?
If the former, then again this is simple $$$, and permitted due to the fact that post-Brexit the government are free(r) to remove those pesky foods standards that are a blocker to businesses.
If the latter, then no-one is telling us to eat it. I mean, it's becoming fashionable, but that's all. There's the green angle, but I thought the main push was to get us to eat locusts etc as a cheap source of nutrients?

morrisons makes alot of money on its wines and its fuel(petrol) stations
however these incur alot of tax, due to import costs.. before even having british VAT at the end

morrisons is in the running to have a depot in one of the "freeports"
which means in near future foriegn wine/oil wine producers can export their liquid to the UK freeport TAX DUTY FREE
then have a factory reprocess/package it at the freeport.
(bottle the wine, label it 'bottled in the UK)
(refine the oil into petrol and plastic)
where the "product" is labelled 'processed/bottled in the UK' thus its automatically treated as not an import but instead a british product.
ding ding free import ding ding jackpot!

so exiting the warehouse and then going into domestic distribution means no import duty.
however if it leaves the warehouse to then be 'sold' to another company. the warehouse needs regulations
which is another headache.. but if you also own the domestic distribution and retail.. no problem
clever right. another win

however if companies wanted to set all this up from scratch(refinery/bottling plants, warehouse, distribution and retail stores/petrol stations) would cost them double digit billions and decades..

however morrisons already has most of this stuff ready. .. just someone needs to coax morrisons to sell up so they can then use the distribution system for many other aspects of the economy outside of just serving morrisons customers at the cashier desk

And on a side note: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssZ_8cqfBlE
So if they can dump in a bunch more money and get even more efficient by using robotics on a massive scale like this then it might be an even better move.

Projects like this do cost a fortune and the labor to keep it running is also high. Robot techs get paid a lot more then people stocking shelves. But they can serve many more people so there is that big plus.

Just rich people making money. I don’t think there needs to be another explanation. With the massive amount of money that was just printed, real inflation is well over 10%. Funds are snapping up real estate, food providers, and anything else that will benefit from price increases as inflation continues to do it’s thing.

Honestly. I feel bad for the younger generation. Inflation is eating their salaries while making stocks and homes unaffordable. The kids without parents in a position to get them into home ownership or to teach them to invest young are going to be slaves to the rest of us, as America (and the world to follow) goes from a country of builders to a country of managers. Pretty much every person I meet these days is a financial adviser. I’m fearful for my species.

1) it's not the Koch brothers it's Fortress Investment Group which includes their own money and the Canada Pension Plan and Koch Real Estate Investments.
2) There was another takeover bid from someone else last month. So it's not like this was unexpected.
3) Morrisons owns it's own supply chain and that makes it a prime target for investors because it's easier to squeeze every penny out of it when you control more.

At a guess, since Brexit is killing a lot of businesses across GB they figure it's going to simple to squeeze out some profit and sell off what is left.

As of now NONE of the businesses we do IT for have anything left in GB / England due to Brexit but they have found a lot of willing buyers to take over and price gouge the people who need what they were selling. Sadly we didn't get to get any of that profit. But I can easily see this being the same thing

Well they haven't really "bought" it, they have acquired it via an exchange of paper. So why have they done it? The simple answer would be to sell and lease back the stores, and extract the capital. Another possibility is to obtain control of a food outlet in the UK. The Koch brothers seem to control many of the US politicians, and they are one of the second tier dynasties in the deep state, Will they be moving into UK politics if the Five Eyes alliance takes over from the EU? Maybe they want to push that dreadful fake meat that we are told we must start to eat.

What do you think is their motivation, and is this yet another example of the "build back better"attempt to enslave the population?
