This is not a scam, it's just INCREDIBLY overpriced.

It needs to be BTC45 for anyone to take it seriously and they aren't reducing their price by half.

They've "been around" for a while.  As you can see their vimeo video was posted on july 9th.

They're even one of the options in the genesis block profitability calculator.  Unfortunately, they have one of the worst ROIs.  No need to scam people at prices like that, it's way more then enough to profitably build Avalons.

Also, they, along with everyone else, would not have gotten their chips yet.

Next day shipping?  Scam?

I don't even think genuine members here offering similar services are able to ship just the PCB without anything soldered to it overnight. And they only accept BTC, which is typically good - but some folks have gotten BFL refunds from PayPal.

Email them up and ask if they'll do Escrow with JohnK =D

probably. it might not be but personally i wouldn't bother with them. Consider, if they're accepting bitcoin, why are they not mining instead if they don't think the return on their equipment will be greater than what they sell for it? because the return of selling to you guys now is greater.

Why don’t you have a picture of a unit?
We didn’t bother with making a mockup of what our unit will look like (because it would most likely change). We are in the process of having it professionally built (along with custom made heat sinks). It will be relatively plain, but efficient and effective.
