It has been said about a million times already that the forum cares less about quantity but quality...
So losing quite a few shit posters would not be of any harm but good to the reputation of the forum in general

maybe when my writing came out surely many people would blaspheme me.
Don't you have to be a deity in order for someone to blaspheme against you?

Not if he considers the forum sacred

I'm not sure if the merit system has improved things to any appreciable extent, although I noticed right from the beginning that members were upping the quality of their posts.  There are still way too many shitposters, though, and that's because bounties generally don't have any sort of merit or rank requirements.  If that were to change, I think we'd see a dramatic improvement on bitcointalk.

I really do not understand the purpose for this thread, nor this redundant reply, what exactly are you thankful about..
we sure were having a nice day before you decided to bore us with this redundant sort of thread..
This is just a typical noob fishing for merits by spouting fake gratitude and blowing sunshine up our asses, hoping a merit source agrees with what he's writing and gives him a merit for his effort.  Seen it a thousand times since January.

Yeah definitely the loss of users without merits has changed a lot of things such as a reduction in shit/copy pasting/low content post/replies...

I couldn't agree more with you
I really wish they do not come back!!!

yes, the loss of users without merit from bitcointalk circulation has certainly changed many things that have been troubling all high ranking account users who have accumulated merit with all their hard work. I'm sure they are very happy now. maybe when my writing came out surely many people would blaspheme me. and that certainly happens. I accept their suggestions and criticisms
