It is my advice to lower ranks like newbies that they should not lose hope of making themselves helpful and to contribute in this forum. It may seem very hard to earn merit but it is possible. Every threads or posts you made that receive merits means you are trying hard instead of posting shitpost. Congratulations on ranking up and keep up doing things you do best, You deserve it.

Not anymore a fan of getting merit, as I mention in the post that it is hard to earn merit. I think this is what it feels for the low rank members that until now still not ranking up.

However, I can still probably can contribute helpful posts but since I am working it may hard in my part now. At least I was able to participate in the forum and been happy for it taking part in the discussion that I never thought that I myself could learn from the things that I said in my posts.

Now, I would like to see other member grow as well. Hopefully there will be more member to rank up.

Well, most of @erikoy posts are contributing and helping others, you cannot get merits for shitpost but the OP could have been made better as the sentence highlighted will surely give wrong impressions to newbies.

Every achievement brings happiness and memories for everyone and it gives us encouragement to set our next milestone. Same like that from your new rank up you will get more fuel to start the journey for next rank up. More or less you have learned a lot of things which helped you to enrich your knowledge vault. Now its time to use them for better purposes. I think you will detect all your weaknesses and moving forward with positive thinking which will make the way of reaching all your targets easier than before.

Don't forget to help newbies who need help to build their own like you are building your profile. You were a newbie once and get into this position by taking help from others. So you know much better than anyone how necessary it is to follow proper guidelines. You don't have to think about merits if you can deliver your best and continue your contribution for the community. Merit holders will find you through your quality works.

After the merit system was implemented, I think there are quite a few user who prove that merit is not a barrier to moving up the rankings (except for spammer). If you can pay attention to the quality of your posts then you will very easily be rewarded as a token of appreciation from other users for you and your thoughts and knowledge.
Based on the history of merit you have received, in my opinion it is quite difficult for you to get merit in 2018-2019. But you have been looking good in 2020 to be exact since August and it has taken you to new rank. If you can improve and maintain it then I believe you will be promoted to senior ranking when you get 250 merit or 146 merit from now. I believe you can do well although you have to be patient and do it consistently. Don't think about merit, I only recommend you to improve the quality of your post which is why you get more merit.

Please make posts if you have things to contribute and help. 

I had been a fan of getting merit just recently and made some posts to earn some merits. I was having the kind of  feeling motivated by it that made my stay more fun here in the forum. I may or may not be helpful but at least I acted to participate actively in some good discussion as a member instead of adding pile shit posts for the forum. Thus, I decided to take a few step making some time to make posts that I think would be constructive. However, I could feel sometimes that I am off topic for it because I am still learning and continue to learn more about some things in cryptocurrency, the current events, and the forum.

Still I manage to earn some merits that help me rank up and I can say that if you really wanted to earn merits then you need to do things that could make you feel unique. In my case all of it were made of luck to create such posts and earn merits. Thankful to the merit source around not to mention them because I do not want to spoil them on how much they being like or love by most of the members in this forum like @CryptopreneurBrainboss a reputable bounty manager that handles the project that I am in. LOL, @DdmrDdmr that continue to help low rank users to rank up. I do not know this guy but he is really helpful for me to rank up.

Again, earning merit is not easy mind you that but if you really wanted to earn merits then you need to do things that could make you feel unique. In my case that all of  my posts were being made generic or just the basic information regarding cryptocurrency. The posts that I created was dedicated to myself and for the new members in the forum. So, for the newbie and low rank members like me an ordinary member with no intellectual specialty could still be able to rank up. Because of the achievement I would like to congratulate myself for making it to happen. May it be a little late for me to rank up but at least I still made it to happen. I am very happy and proud of myself at least as a member of this forum that had been going through ups and down valued bitcointalk.org forum that much.
