In the matrix the world is an illusion, and when you escape the matrix you discover another world that is even shittier than the illusion.

A world in which human bodies are used to provide energy to run the matrix (where do these bodies get their energy from isn't explained - presumably from the sun which is used to grow crops to feed the human bodies (but why not use sheep? - or just use the sun directly) - but then why would they need to develop a matrix?)
None of it made any sense.

But I enjoyed the first one and have seen it at least 10 times.

The world where humans were being used as flesh batteries is the exact reality we live in today.  It is the illusion.  We are being farmed for our spiritual energy.

Mcdonalds drain the spirit of their workers to produce hamburgers, so I'd have to agree with that (your crazy talk sometimes makes sense)

Yep, just about every scene is littered with literal and metaphorical meanings, and the Wachowskis demonstrate this by their other films. The premise of the Matrix is much more literal than it may seem at first glance.

The Matrix Trilogy Decoded by Mark Passio - watch this in conjunction with the films, if you haven't watched them in a while.

Cloud Atlas, the Wachowski's sequel (kinda) to The Matrix.

Everything Wrong With The Matrix In 12 Minutes Or Less - Hilarious!

I watched the whole matrix decoded, and it's pretty good.
After that i really wanted to watch the movies again so i started watching part 1 again.
I really didn't noticed in the past this movie was about our world at all, i tought it was about some fantasy world.
But now I realise they where talking about our world.

Where did you hear this information??  Please link a valid article explaining this.

I would be excited if its not a reboot...but rather a prequel/sequel

They need to redeem themselves from the horrible 2nd and 3rd movies...

Im on work now so here are some infos. When i came home i will post another link.

http://www.matrixfans.net/rumor-wachowskis-preparing-new-matrix-trilogy-for-warner-brothers/#sthash.MJHNZcnP.dpbs

Also there are 2-3 nice clips with agent smith and morpheus on youtube so you can check it out.

Hmm, your first link is old news from 2011, which never amounted to anything unfortunately.

The 2nd one is interesting, but it still is just a rumor(As it says in the title)  no one from the matrix has come out and said it is happening.  Also-Any clips of Morpheus and Agent smith fighting on youtube are from the first 3 movies.

Seems like the new matrix trilogy will be filming in last quarter of 2015, only 1 character is confirmed and that is agent Smith, no other info will it be reboot or new time line.

Also there are confirmations of that there are scripts for 4th and 5th part of matrix.

Seems like they spend all money they earn in last 10 years so they need more  Grin

Ah, thanks for that clarification. I'd think that human mechanical heat would be insignificant compared to any form of nuclear power though, so that seems to weaken the plot a bit...

The perfet anology of what our world actually is IMO, well the 1st one.  Then it goes onto potential IMO.  Furthermore I LLLOVE the fact that they point out the idea of reality.

For if you believe beyond a shadow of a doubt everything around you is real.. you've got a lot of learning to do, a lot.

For an even closer analogy of the future, the story could have been that it wasn't war between man and the machines, it was just the fact that no one could afford to live a normal life, so we all had to plug ourselves in to a simulation because it was the only way any of us will be able to experience decent living standards.  That, and renting yourself out as a battery is the only available "job" anyone has left because the economy imploded in a debt-vortex (unless, of course, you have some bitcoin, in which case you won't need to resort to such drastic measures  Cheesy ).

In the matrix the world is an illusion, and when you escape the matrix you discover another world that is even shittier than the illusion.

None of it made any sense.

It's the chi, qi, prana, orgone, zero-point, etheric, life force energy they are harnessing. In a desperate act, the humans destroyed the skies, because the machines were powered by solar energy.

According to the film:  "The human body generates more bioelectricity than a 120-volt battery and over 25,000 BTUs of body heat. Combined with a form of fusion, the machines had found all the energy they would ever need."

Although this isn't actually true since over the course of a day, a single human body generates between 6000 and 10,000 BTUs.  I guess Morpheus didn't specify a timescale to be fair.  Maybe he meant 25000 BTUs a week, heh.

The original plot was that humans were used as processors (as a massive neural network). However, the director thought this would be too confusing for the average joe so they changed it to the whole battery thing.

well all parts of the matrix are great and rocking thnkx for the torrent link i will donwload and watch it and then i,ll tell you..

Dude, what is up with pulling topics from over a week ago? Literally to make comments that don't make any sense. "they're great" but "you're going to donwload and watch it" and then "tell him" about them again?

On topic:

Actually, I preferred the orginal plot of the Matrix movies before it was changed to make more sense for the average Joe.
Quote
Yes, this is true, though its not clear how hard the Wachowski's fought to keep their original idea.

The only "official statement" I know of is an off-hand comment from one of the brothers on the DVD commentary for one of the director's cuts (I forget which but I think its on the Ultimate Matrix Collection.) He is discussing the whole setup for the Matrix and mentions that they "originally had a different idea" before dismissing the question as irrelevant to the story. (e.g. it doesn't matter to him why the machines did what they did, as its just a plot device to get the story started.)

More details about what that original plan was come from some written material based on early pre-release information from the movie. Specifically, Neil Gaiman's short story "Goliath" is set in the Matrix universe and includes this alternate view. I have also heard that the "novelization" of the Matrix included this idea but there's no such novel that I know of; its possible that a novelized version of an early script exists (there's a published version of the shooting script for sale but that includes the story as filmed.)

The first one is a winner, everyone can agree on that.

I view the second and third movie as one extra long sequel. This long sequel is trying to explain the purpose of repeated incarnations of Neo in the whole matrix software environment. Neo is what we call bugs in software. If Neo is written back into the source code, the matrix environment would upgrade to a more stable version. This is an automated bug fixing mechanism. But this Neo did not pick his destined path, chose love instead.

Hope this helps.

The Matrix is of the best movie that I ever seen. I like the 3 movies.

That movie made me think what if we are indeed inside in the matrix except without neo, oracle, mobius and trinity. What if the aliens already controlled us. How could we know the reality. Who can help us out?

If you wish to know, take the red pill.  It is LSD.

Yes we are in the matrix, and yes the characters are real.

The first movie was awesome, it was too deep and I still can't understand what happened in the end. 2nd movie was more like a meh. but it was OK anyway. When I finished watching the 3rd movie I was like, alright fuck it.

Ha, I agree. The first one is a classic, the second was a let down, and the third just took a steaming shit all over the franchise. I've got the trilogy on blu ray but havent watched them on that format yet nor have I seen them in years. I'm waiting till I get a new TV though.

It's a nice movie. I don't get it why people say that only the 1st one was good (well i do, it's becuase of the action and stuff) but I think the other two are as good or better than the first, and I evaluate it as a whole, because you need the 3 movies to understand the fictional world and the story... The 2nd and 3rd have much more philosophical content and story than the 1st.

If you liked it, you should try the anime ghost in the shell, it was at least one of the major influences...

Also see the movie Avalon, 13th Floor and Existenz...

The Matrix...when I first heard about it, I expected just another sci-fi action thriller. Good and filled with insane stunts, but not terribly intelligent.
Boy, was I wrong. Oh, the stunts are there in spades, all right, and yes, they are awesome. And the special effects are absolutely amazing (even if similar ones have been used in other movies as a result- and not explained as well).

Did anyone watch the 2nd and 3rd one?  They had no story, awful dialog, and crappy CGI effects.

The first 1 was so well choreographed and the dialog was amazing, the characters actually had a background and developed through the story.

In the 2nd and 3rd one all Neo was like_I need you Trinity_
Trinity was like _ I need you Neo_
Morpheous was like  _The prophecy blah blah_

They were awful
This is a movie that people either adore or disregard totally... but I haven't found (though it is statistical possible) someone who actually hates The Matrix.

Even in 2014 this film has something magic. With his stunning effects and a mind blowing story-telling, story-structure and bad-ass characters this movie is still one of the best movies in the world. Just the confrontation with philosophical questions of our life and the "fantasy of science-fiction" makes this movie to one of the must-seen films in history.

The Matrix is absolutely not to be missed. Even people who don't like science fiction or even action films will more than likely enjoy this film. It is well presented, it is not unnecessarily excessive, and it presents the most innovative camera work in years. It has something for everyone.

The first movie was absolutely amazing, it truly set the pace for movies.

The 2nd two were absolutely awful and you could tell they were written just to make money.  If the first one didn't do well, we never would have had a trilogy.

You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe.
You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Matrix trilogy is well fixed in my memory, I love it.

What are you thoughts on the trilogy?

For those of you that haven't watched it, I implore that you do.

The Matrix is a truly excellent movie. Although the movie is a bit hard to follow the brilliant action scenes totally make up for it. This is one of the movies I have watched the most. I bought the DVD - and I think it was certainly worth it.

have another link accept torrent link?
because little risky download from torrent sometime the file has infection by trojan

If you could embed a virus into a .mkv / .avi / .mp4, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be releasing torrents to spread your virus.

I watched the first when I was in college. Really liked it and watched it a few more times.

... and then they followed it up with two shite films.

Shutup. The matrix had a single movie. The other two are fake.

Otherwise, the matrix would hardcore suck.

The first movie was awesome, it was too deep and I still can't understand what happened in the end. 2nd movie was more like a meh. but it was OK anyway. When I finished watching the 3rd movie I was like, alright fuck it.

Couldn't have said it better myself.  The first one was mind blowing at the time. Such a great movie. The special effects were a step a head of their time on the big screen.  Still awesome today on the surround sound and big screen TV.

Second one was really hard to get through, but i was hoping for big things after the first one, never panned out that way.  Third one I couldn't even get through.  I've tried and just can't get into it.

I fear down the road that they will try to resurrect the series and make another one.

Pretty good. The first one is definitely the best. I remember watching it for the first time in my basement with a friend on a really shitty 13 inch old style tv. Even with that we were blown away.

I love the Matrix trilogy. One of the best films ever made. I would urge everyone to buy the DVDs or blueray and not download the films for free. Please support the film makers.
