I'd say each unit is worth about 1 to 1.5 btc.

Bitcoin hardware should be priced in bitcoins as they mine bitcoins

Did you read what I wrote?

If you are referring to paying $1000 for the 2 Avalon modules, I actually gave YiFU about 7BTC but back then the price was much lower per BTC. Now that it's higher and so it the difficulty buying a 5GH/s BFI  for 1BTC or an Avalon for 3.5BTC is simply not worth it when I do the conversion back to dollars.

The irony is that with so many pre orders and scams people prefer to pay with paypal and credit cards  Roll Eyes

So for me the million dollar question is what does everyone think the Avalon 3 or 4 module system is worth today taking into account Bitcoin is bouncing around the $900 to $1000 mark?

I see Mr. YiFU dropped the price on the 4 module Avalon's to 3.50BTC which is still too high in my books even though they are listed as out of stock. The modules them self he has listed at 1BTC which I think is a bit high, I seem to recall paying about $1000 for my two modules a month or so ago from him.

I have been toying with the idea of picking up another 80 or 100GH unit from someone locally to me only if I think it's worth it.

What are your thoughts?
