Old man thinks we have to live only on the dry part of the surface of one planet for ever. Old man is wrong.

Did he just say "stop immigration" as one of the ways to get zero population growth? Maybe he thinks the browns will starve if they can't get to the promised land.

I was baffled by that as well until I realized he is only concerned with town planning for Boulder, Colorado.  I like to see people find practical applications for their ideas but really this poor guy has gotten way too excited by the need for building extra sewage works.

Yeah, if you told this guy in the year 1300 people would have 100+ books each he tell you it was impossible because you would have to have 19 scribes sitting on your kidney.

He is wrong about education and factually wrong about AIDS.

Educated women don't reproduce at the rate needed to replace themselves.  All across the world, once a society gets to a certain level of education, birth rates fall.  Countries like Italy, Japan, Germany and Spain are already in population decline.

At the risk of being called racist, in the US and UK, white people are not reproducing at a rate that would maintain their percentage of the population.  Immigration is needed just to look after old folk.  Once immigrants have been in the UK for one generation, they also have small families.  The expected boom in Indian/Pakistani descended people in English cities hasn't happened because their kids went to English schools and the girls got educated.

I've given up after 20 minutes.  Really, his going on about Boulder and the lack of mathematical awareness of the local city council is too dull.

BTW, someone should tell him that AIDS has not slowed down population growth in sub Saharan Africa.  Its not even slowed it.  Until those countries can afford to educate their women, nothing will slow their population growth.
