What's the point of this though? The party providing something of value in exchange from money still loses if the money is taken away from them. It doesn't matter if it's the same money, it's still taken away from someone.

it being portrayed as a negative for the consumer when it not,

any merchant can refuse a refund only insurance lile that offerer

with visa etc etc provides the refund the merchant dosnt nessisarily

refund anything

I think I get what you're saying. Still "charge backs" still happen with traditional payment means, weather it's in the form of insurance or money being removed from the account of a merchant, it's possible. Surely it's not as much of a big deal as some people in bitcoin make it out to be, but at least we know that bitcoin's system isn't made to allow such a thing to happen.

Chargeback sucks, and as a merchant you are somewhat helpless when that happens.

I once received a 5$ donation for some advice given in a forum by paypal. Then the person (who had sent the 5$ freely without me asking for anything) repented. Without asking me first, he did a chargeback and I had no means to justify that was a donation or to demonstrate that I had helped that person.

My reputation got stained in paypal without even asking for money, and that made me think... What if I was really selling something? How could I have defended myself?

I felt it was not safe for merchants at all.

shared key wallets lol thats wat u get

i thought their dispute process was ok

u would get booted from paypal anyway

if u didnt have a shared key and they

would cover with insurance

when u recieve money back from any source paypal visa cash etc

its the identical process, u dont recieve the same money back

u recieve different money through insurance policy refund warranty etc etc

many stores even refuse refunds when its stated in law that a customer

is allowed to change their mind,

Have you ever been a merchant?

another indecisive question

I guarantee you the money disappears from merchant account when a chargeback occurs.

Are u able to share what happened during a chargeback process? What happened to the funds and what is the arbitration process to resolve the issue?

your paypal accout goes negative, so they got money from paypal

not ur account, remeber the technicality though ur operating

a paypal wallet where u are sharing the keys, with a bitcoin

wallet u will have to do the refund urself or u would be booted

from the market place or left bad feedback

Not really man, when you sell something online, and someone chargebacks, you will almost always lose, and have to pay the money to customer.
