Since the dawn of time, sport gripped civilizations imagination, whether it is gladiators fighting to death, the ancient Olympics or what modern day civilization has created. It is in human nature to want to compete, and sport reflect that. However, a very small part of the world’s population actually ever get access to opportunities this gives them.
The sports world today
The current structure the sports world lends itself to exclusivity and enrichment of a few (generally administrators). The very nature of the big money business sports has become means that people with resources or direct access to resources have a massive edge on everyone else, leading to many massively talented people without this access either giving up early on or never being discovered.
And the future?
SportsPodium intends to create a solution that will address these challenges by disrupting the status quo through using social media to drive a bottom up approach, giving revenue opportunities for all levels in the value chain, and by enabling sports administrators to more effectively gather information and identify talent, while giving sports people the chance to promote themselves in a fun and engaging manner.
Imagine access to opportunities, revenue, information, talent and products and services that is more transparent and has a fair distribution of income for all that participates! Players, coaches, administrators and governing bodies all will get benefit, and so will the sports fan and supporter.
Using the Blockchain
By using the possibility that the event of the blockchain and crypto technology brings, we can now build a business that will do all of this, disrupt the current meat market that talent identification is as well as many other structures in this industry that favours a few at the top. And all of this simply by combining our clever algorithms, social media and Crypto Currency.
