Good morning my country people, today I wan talk about skills wey fit change our life, because education alone is just not enough if you must succeed, you know say you don't have to go to school to be successful, but need to go to school to be enlightened.

See eh, the way tins dy go, even as a graduate, if you no get high paying hand work or skill, e no go easy for you, regardless of ur educational background, so e dy  important say if we want live well for this naija wey we dy, try your possible best to learn a high paying skill like trading, coding, web designing, online marketing skill,  learn how to sell, you fit no be the richest, but I believe say if you dy good in any of them, poverty no go knock your door, make ona reason am.
The importance of having a formal education cannot be over emphasize, an educated society is a society that has already been employed, whatever each individual wants to do with that empowerment is up to him or her.
We shouldn't play down the importance of formal education because of the deformity we have in our Nigerian society, education teaches you how to be an entrepreneur, it teaches you the ability to pass on intellectual knowledge to the next generation,  we shouldn't forget the slogan that says, education is the bedrock of any society. We are neglecting the core fundamental application of education to a society, that is why we are here today as a country going through complex issues.

Informal education is what your trying to tell us OP, which is also Incorporated into a society with formal education because both of them go in paribasu. however you cannot run a society based on informal education only, whatever skill, knowledge and empowerment that you need is all captured in format education.

Just imagine somebody asking a medical doctor to go and learn another skill after spending seven years in the university studying, because there are no job opportunities to absorb the person. that is an absurdity of a dysfunctional society and if not addressed even the informal sector will be affected in a long run.

Bro, I understand perfectly well what you are trying to say, but we are in a country where the government don't give a f**k of your educational background, or what you are doing, as long as your are not giving them troubles, the high level of incompetence in our government have made jobs and other social amenities hard to come by, so in this manner, you just have to face reality as a typical Nigerian that is knowledgeable enough to know that nobody cares,  you just have to look for other ways to make your life better, than waiting for a system that is not working.

It's very important and reasonable that you as a Nigerian takes schooling as a means of getting enlightened, not a means for survival, because in life education alone is not enough, not just in Nigeria, those precious time you will be wasting in waiting for a job that is not fort coming, it would be better you use it to learn a higher paying skills like coding and web designing that will surely be beneficial to you as long as you are good in it, so think wise bro, stay safe and may God bless you.

Hello mate, It would had been better of saying chasing success can be alternated after going through the academic walls by diversifying to skill basses. Education to succeed in success is not a scrap, only that the system to accommodate and employ Such huge number of graduates is not large enough. Securing a success through the lead of education is equal to the tasks of securing the white collar jobs and we know the quality of such nature of jobs is usually interesting in payments and lots of benefits such as HMOs including insurance and pensionables etc.
Since the White collar jobs has been one of a golden jobs, it's been difficult for a graduate to secure a chance of it. However, education is necessary but not compulsory and everyone mustn't go through schools but acquiring of skills such as creativities, manpowers and the entrepreneurship skills to either support yourself from the labour markets also as how you can create an infrastructure of your own being your own boss.
Let's not ilicit illiteracies in this obligations please.

I think it would be best to try to become an entrepreneur rather than looking for a high paying job. Sometimes it is difficult for those who have studied outside of technical education to get a job. Find an income stream through the work that you are good at. This may require some money but initially morale is more important which will help you move forward.

Skills and handwork has proven countless times the benefit of learning one, most necessary while in a younger age. The country is not in a state where getting best grades from university Is already assuring of getting a better and qualified job. Having a good educational background and a paying skill can both be combined since no knowledge is a waste, if one doesn't work out the other may. We don't need to limit our learning to 1 or 2 skills as numerous we get to meet along, taking the opportunity is necessary, never can tell what the future holds.

The government itself understand that they can not provide jobs for all and that is why they are suggesting and advocating for skills acquisition for the youths. This lack of employment is discouraging student to give in their best. In the past, it was automatic somehow or thing of choice for a first class student to have recognition and job from the University and sometimes given scholarship to further study but that is not the case at the moment. I have heard of first class student from top university in Nigeria living a poverty miserable life because they couldn't get a job. In fact this have been recurring and you even see graduates who are begging. Hence on the one hand I blame government and on second thought, people should learn to work out something for themselves instead of high level of dependence on government jobs. Being independent is one way you can set yourself free, it doesn't come easily but if you have the zeal and you see the future you will understand that is the only way forward with the confused state of the nation economy.
The number of available jobs expected to be created by the government is yet still very low beyond normal standards but that aside, our success, weather we are able to provide our basic needs or not now depends on becoming independent on one's self, either by applying skills to earning or doing business and other things that can give good profits. The government are out of the options, no one goes to school, graduate and solely rely on getting an instant job, like you made mention not even a first class graduate. We have to put up things for ourselves by being skillful so we can get just the life we ever wanted.

Like before person go fit learn this skills them wey you mention you know say the person go require a better phone and laptop and some other stuffs that would be used to enhance the learning process, so all these things involves money and we know how the country be now as people dey think of wetin to eat first before talking of buying devices and gadgets wey person fit use they learn all this online work.

So e no really dey easy for anybody for this country because even people wey get no dey spend money extravagantly again because no body no wetin go happen within the next minute. Another thing be say all this online stuffs them no be every body get the zeal to learn am so e go really dey difficult for those set of people because e get some persons wey their head no fit carry computer works so those kind people, internet or computer work will not be of any help to them.

We need to consider some physical skills wey be say e go dey affordable and easy for people to learn even if e no be high paying job but make them use am dey start life small small then dem fit they use wetin dey come out from the   skill the learn online work.
You talk well my brother because the money wey person go use start the learning process of coding or web design no be small money and the person wey one learn am suppose at least get the interest so that the money e pay no go loss.
My only fear na say after person don learn these computer high income skills finish, what's the guarantee say e go use am chop? Why I ask be say most people go just chop person money teach them skill then them go leave the student upon completion of learning to sort him/herself out.

Other income skills like plumbing, welding, still dey. na just make person comot shame for eye learn anyone wey them dey sure say them fit manage on their own.

Good morning my country people, today I wan talk about skills wey fit change our life, because education alone is just not enough if you must succeed, you know say you don't have to go to school to be successful, but need to go to school to be enlightened.

The importance wey dey for high-paying skills no fit be overemphasized, especially as we dey consider the current state of government jobs and the limited opportunities wey dey available. E dey very crucial make we invest our time to learn both soft and hard skills wey fit bring income for us. To diversify our skill set to include different ways wey fit bring money na also very important aspect.

For the current year wey we they so, to prioritize the acquisition of more than one skill dey very important. This one go allow us to dey flexible if one skill no dey as marketable as we want, we fit easily change to another one or even dey do different jobs at the same time without compromising on the things wey we suppose deliver. E dey very important to ensure say we fit meet deadlines for the jobs wey we dey do, instead make we just focus on making money.

When we dey start to learn new skill, the ultimate aim suppose be mastery. To dey strive for mastery for each skill we we dey learn dey very important. Even as I don talk say e dey important to learn different skills, if doing so dey hinder our ability to master any of dem, e beta make we focus on perfecting one before we move to another one. After we don master one skill, e dey important to identify potential customers and assess market demand before we move to the next skill.

You no lie and your talk make sense wella. Anybody wey reason am and see how d economy dey take be for we citizens and even for dos wey don graduate, learning a high paying skill go be something wey you go wan learn from your early days in school. Work wey be say even after school you fit dey manage dey work from your house without you been bothered on when the government work go come early or not. Some kind things wey dey discourage people for dis kind things na money but anyhow e be m, as you don chook head dey go, oda ways fit dey open for you to take fund your learning process and become a better person in dat skill wey you wan learn. Nothing legally is worth not trying as far as e go pay for dis economy wey we dey see so, we pray for better days ahead for all.

There is a need to seek spiritual guidance when deciding the kind of skill you want to learn because if you spend your time learning a skill that is not meant for you, you will not make any money from it but will just be struggling throughout making money less than expected. Another thing is that You should not go and learn a skill simply because you have friends or family members that have suggested that skill to you as a high paying skill. Skilled workers who love what they do are more easily able to develop because they love what they do and are not afraid of showcasing themselves through their skill. Learn skill wey you know say you nor go tire for.

There are many high paying skills and learning them is very good but the problem is that how many people can afford to learn them, lets not forget that times are hard an people are trying to survive, please I don't misunderstood because am trying to make a point if we talk about the skills itself we should also consider many factors that can prevent people from getting this skills, in the developed world some of this skills starts from high school, many citizens of those countries have multiple skill that has been very useful to people around them and the entire country at large, in nutshell, get a skill that you can and be knowledgeable enough to apply it irrespective of where you found yourself.

Normally school no be where people go make money, but where to learn basics things wey go help us for future, but we carry school enter another level thinking say Naim go make us rich. our mentality about school Naim make people dey lazy and many people never still realise this stuff say school no be everything. Anybody wey get all the degrees for life without skill just be like person wey never achieved anything rather only certificate. The best certificate na skill and knowledge about wetting you learn. The earlier we know the better for us.

Normally wetin you talk na true, all this skill you mention sopos make person learn am expecially the online skill because Naim be the best skill make person use educational knowledge join together with online skill and you go be the best for Wettin you dey do. Just like we all dey here we go school and we come back but work no dey but this BTT wey we dey so, we dey use our educational knowledge dey join together with our online skill dey make money. So the school no be waste. For here nobody know the degree you come out with but your degree here dey determine by the level of impact you creat for people life for this forum. And your rank dey determine by your numbers of merit you earn. So E good make we learn online skill.

Almost all of the people's that are attending school now is not just because of fighting for the job after graduate, many people go to school now so that they can get knowledge and having so much experience after school so that even that they really want to afford to any business they won't find it so difficult, and that's is we observed businesses people's now they only want to forward their education just to have some experience about their marketing when he comes to the calculation.

Learning a high paying skill is primary, being able to apply it is another thing, be sure to learn from those actively practicing what they teach, else you'll have very big difficulty in marketing that skill. There's a business model attached to all skills and patterns to follow for your skills to be profitable. Its easy to fall for opportunists who claim to be professionals.

Every skill is unique and high paying, it all depends on your niche and your patterns of engagement. A million dollars can be made from selling ice cream, from agriculture, from having a restaurant, from tech jobs or from E-commerce. For me, instead of striving to learn new skills  all the time, strive to develop on your already acquired still, keep improving your patterns and packaging, unlearning and leaning when necessary and surely, you'll make much money from it.
