We shouldn't play down the importance of formal education because of the deformity we have in our Nigerian society, education teaches you how to be an entrepreneur, it teaches you the ability to pass on intellectual knowledge to the next generation, we shouldn't forget the slogan that says, education is the bedrock of any society. We are neglecting the core fundamental application of education to a society, that is why we are here today as a country going through complex issues.
Informal education is what your trying to tell us OP, which is also Incorporated into a society with formal education because both of them go in paribasu. however you cannot run a society based on informal education only, whatever skill, knowledge and empowerment that you need is all captured in format education.
Just imagine somebody asking a medical doctor to go and learn another skill after spending seven years in the university studying, because there are no job opportunities to absorb the person. that is an absurdity of a dysfunctional society and if not addressed even the informal sector will be affected in a long run.
Bro, I understand perfectly well what you are trying to say, but we are in a country where the government don't give a f**k of your educational background, or what you are doing, as long as your are not giving them troubles, the high level of incompetence in our government have made jobs and other social amenities hard to come by, so in this manner, you just have to face reality as a typical Nigerian that is knowledgeable enough to know that nobody cares, you just have to look for other ways to make your life better, than waiting for a system that is not working.
It's very important and reasonable that you as a Nigerian takes schooling as a means of getting enlightened, not a means for survival, because in life education alone is not enough, not just in Nigeria, those precious time you will be wasting in waiting for a job that is not fort coming, it would be better you use it to learn a higher paying skills like coding and web designing that will surely be beneficial to you as long as you are good in it, so think wise bro, stay safe and may God bless you.
