I'm brand spankin' new.  Don't even know what a bitcoin rig is.  Figured I'd stop in and say hello.  I'll start researching a little.

Welcome aboard new kid...from one new kid to another.

I too am very much interested in the longevity and viability of alt-coins.  I've been mining now since mid-Oct '13 and am learning a ton with respect to hardware, mining rigs, cgminer configs, gpu stats, pool structures/payouts, trading sites and now venturing into fund-raising/donation sites for us crypto-miners.  The community here is fantastic and quite respectful for the most part.  I'd guess we can sorta tell who's got the skills vs the tourists which makes meaningful discussions quite productive and informative.

Personally, as you can tell from the forum name, I'm partial to Dogecoins and can say their community is phenomenal!  42 has been interesting to watch, but my #2 has to be RonPaulCoins.  It's a fun new tech/prospecting/trading realm and I'm glad to be part of it all.

Seeya in the pools!

Multipools still work for miners with low hash power. Another option is to mine some totally new altcoin and hope it will not die in first few days. I was lucky with 42 recently.

Hi all, im New to bitcoinforum and would like to get to know some of the guys here already.

I think cryptos are very interesting in general and would like to own some my self.
I know bitcoin been around for a few years and litecoin other than that i havent heard of many of the New ones that are on many of Your Boards here.

I dont realy have got a big miningrig or anything, just one 7950, but i hear its one of the best old ones so i Guess im allright.

What do you guys think i should start mining, what dio you recommend for a beginner, i dont know much about settings and stuff,
but maybe someone can teach me a little, how about it guys, a little help for my 7950!!!!!!!!!

Please wish me the best of Luck, and the best of Luck from me to all the newbees out there just starting up.

Thats just a little about me..........................................

The best thing you can do is read read and read, especially before you go diving straight in to something.

A good website to choose what to mine is: http://www.wheretomine.com/ But you can find even newer coins by browsing the alt coin section and looking for new announcements etc.
