Old coins are still valued, especially the top-ranking ones. However, if the demand for NFTs continues to rise, the arrival of NFTs may supplant some of them.

Do you believe they (old coins) should change to keep up with the new trend?
The problem is the majority of old coins can't afford to operate the NFT platform on its chain. The blockchain that used by the old coins didn't have the same mechanism as the smartcontract blockchain that was allowing people to develop DAPPS. This is also why bitcoin needs second layer solution to operate the defi for bitcoin.
that's why old coins feel quite difficult to follow the trend.

Old coins you said, most of the old coins are upgrading their coins devacting to defi and most of them are creating room for NFT, majority of them will survive because they are into things that matters on the blockchain industry.

Perhaps even those old coins didn't adopt NFT because they are all the same, wherein type of crypto currency. What i mean it can still give an impact to some popular old coins in the market as long as its related. Just my opinion. Because in my view that's what always happen even that time when meme coins becomes so popular around the internet which all cryptocurrency in the market are exposed as well especially those popular old coins.

Nah, prime mover coins such as BTC and ETH should remain as it, no need to adopt this so called NFT which is just hype anyways. And tell me how will they adopt it in the first place?

They are already on the top of the food chain and regardless what is going on below, they will not be affected by it. I'm not against NFT, it's the latest craze and it make the ecosystem lively again. But it has it's own spot and so are the top coins. We don't need another shake up, what if the NFT hype die next year? What will happen to those who supposedly adopt it?

I think there has to be a change to get investors' attention, see now how much binance can take advantage of the changes the market is interested in. If you only walk on one path it is difficult to reach the destination.

Nope, They don't need to follow trend, I mean not all coin have same purpose with NFT, There was tons of different use case currently on some top coin and i don't think so they need to follow the trend and develop the NFT but for some use case maybe it can be used, Each Coin has its own market so i don't think all the coin need to Develop their own NFT Platform/Ecosystem neither integrating it to their System.

I agree; I believe that old coins should adopt NFT because it is so popular.
However, I believe that each team project has its unique set of considerations. Maybe they'll make a big break or keep their brand name.

how should they change? developing their own platform for nft? not every blockchain is suitable for that. development is costly too. for example, you don't need to built something like that for xrp chain, and so on. on the other hand, for project like sol etc, they definitely need nft capabilities, since they're competing directly with eth.
