CoinTelegraph UK would like to officially announce our partnership with the leading source of digital currency and crypto industry related news in the world, CoinTelegraph!

CoinTelegraph UK was created to fill an open a void regarding Bitcoin coverage in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The United Kingdom has a long history of leading the way in financial innovation including the creation of the first insurance market and the invention of joint stock companies’ centuries ago.

With its government’s commitment to cement Britain’s position as the centre of global finance, the UK is aiming to and has the potential to become the global centre of digital finance, with the highest number of global crypto related industries setting their base up here.

“And recognising that the world of finance as we know it is changing in front of our eyes, I can today announce that the Government will start a major programme of work exploring the potential of virtual currencies and digital money, - said British Chancellor George Osborne on August 6th 2014. - These alternative payment systems are popular because they are quick, cheap, and convenient – and I want to see whether we can make more use of them for the benefit of the UK economy and British consumers. I also want to be alert to the risks that accompany any new technology.

So I’m kicking off this programme of work today.

Among other things it will look into whether regulation of the sector is required, so that virtual currency business can continue to set up in the UK and for people and businesses to use them safely.

Third, we’re backing you and the whole British economy with the digital infrastructure we’re going to need if Britain is to grow and succeed in the long term.”
On 25th February 2015, Darling tweeted on Twitter as recently as the that it is “good that the Bank of England looking into digital currencies - need to ensure UK costumers benefit from new tech and Fintech firms flourish.”
Leaves no doubt and clearly shows that this attitude clearly shows that the United Kingdom is an essential base for a credible digital currency news source.

As for Ireland, it hosted the globally attended Bitcoin Finance conference in 2014 and is home to nine out of the top ten tech companies in the world including Apple, Google and Microsoft.

So both countries clearly need an adequate news service focusing specifically on the latest news and analysis of what is happening in the world of cryptocurrency as it happens.

CoinTelegraph UK will be providing the breaking news and information that will help you better understand the ever-evolving world of digital currencies, whether you are a newbie to cryptocurrencies or looking for the newest ways to beef up your digital wallet.
