I used Bitstamp a lot since 2017. I hope Robinhood will keep its quality and tradition.
It seems that they are planning to acquire that platform to immediately obtain more than 50 active licenses and registrations globally, in addition to the Bitstamp team joining Robinhood to enhance collaboration and innovation.
Robinhood seems to want to take the shortcut even though the price of the transaction seems low compared to what you will get.

The deal, not Bitstamp, will close in the first half of 2025. I guess Robinhood must have seen something in how the oldest running crypto exchange is being successfully managed that it survived amidst the worst of bear markets, the suffocating regulations, and in the face of strong competition.
As far as I've read, the CEO along with the rest of the Bitstamp team will remain with the exchange even after the sale. But we might be expecting some major restructuring as soon as the transfer of ownership will fully sink in.
