1) Whenever I start, I always think “there are other tasks I can do” only for me to be thinking the same thing to the next task and repeats infinitely. As a result, barely anything is complete and along with that sometimes i’m lazy, always postponing tasks as if I have the whole day, only for the day to pass and make me think i’ll finish it tomorrow.

You should talk to your doctor about an ADHD test.

There is also this one min test.

Took the test a couple of days ago, scored pretty damn high on it :skull:

I don’t know how to describe it, but if I had to say, then i guess it closely resembles laziness?

There are several things I want to do, that whenever I don’t have the chance, I gain a lot of motivation to want to complete it. These can be small tasks or important tasks such as education related stuff. However, when I have the chance I don’t often complete it, there are several things that always happen.

2) In the rare chance that every other task is completed, when I start doing the task I have in mind all of a sudden I think of the other circumstances slowing me down, such as back pain or the temperature being too cold/hot or me feeling low on energy

3) Even if they aren’t an issue, as soon as I come across a bad event or a difficult to solve issue I give up immediately wanting to do something else

It is a very unhealthy habit that will slowly destroy lives, and unfortunately I have whatever this is. I’ve been facing this for years and I understand that this is my fault and I want to try and fix this
Once you understand your problem then it is up to you to solve it. It may not be laziness or it has become your habit. Opportunities should always be used opportunities do not come again and again. A good advice is to abandon these habits. When you feel obstacles like this while doing something you should try to overcome them and keep your spirits up. One time you will see that they are easily passed.

At first problem identify is already half solve in as much you have concluded is unhealthy situation and habit, you can only overcome this by resisting similar situation once you sense it, because their no treatment for laziness order than adjustment and setting up. Most time it may not really be laziness as you view it but as we are not machine  the body could need rest after being multi task. One simple solution is to create time table of all work or plan for the day including rest period and follow according no give room for anything not on the time to take place, if you try this continually you will override any thing that seem unhealthy and laziness.

Focus more on doing the right tasks/works at the right time. Try and make sure the tasks you do are right for you, then focus on solving them. Don't bother too much if you don't have the solution immediately, it does come occasionally, probably bit by bit, especially when you are focused on the right kind of task. Once a particular idea or solution is given write it down somewhere or memorize it, then wait for the right moment when you are moved to start solving the whole task. There is typically a moment it feels like you have strong desire and strong push to solve a particular task, when that moment comes it always hard to resist, so you'll be moved to start solving it immediately without hesitation or procrastination. That is the right time we need to wait for, while we continue jotting down bit of idea that comes in the mind in flashes... it typically comes like pieces of puzzle until the moment the whole solution to the puzzle is given. This is when you are moved to started putting them together in the task/work.

You need to consume mostly good contents that are related to your talents/role(or so called dream) in life and only surround yourself with works that are relevant to your talents or role... especially so that incase the procrastination kicks in and you find yourself switching to something else, it should be related task that's less boring, whether it's for fun or game.
This is all impossible without relying on the CREATOR of the Universe. His Words and laws are the foundation to build your "dreams" on.

This is a normal behavior showing we are human and not robot mate because we have our
own decision and our focus sometimes comes out of line but that does not mean you are lazy or maybe you
wanted to explore things in different perspective so you are having this tough time.

It's not that you're lazy!  I also felt that same before.

But I wasn't good enough rather than giving excuses and accepting them. Start focusing on yourself and just do it. You will see the differences for yourself
If you keep showing or using reasons and excuses you will never win against this feeling.
focusing is correct and also try to seek for some advise , sometimes we cannot win battle alone

Procrastination is a good factor of failure and setback, and if you are not able to handle it, it will make you feel like going up while you are really going down. There is a popular saying that time waits for nobody and procrastination can only help you misuse time. In summary you need to always make use of your time judiciously. each time that ticks, should be a motivation of trying to achieve a meaningful thing so that it will become a habit. Like if 1 hour pases, you should ask yourself what have I achieved since the last one hour or 24 hours? If you keep on using that formular it will go along way.

It is normal to experience destruction mate specially if your mind isn't free from other issues and problems because that made us deciding in different ways and different attitude.

Just try to calm first before engaging to anything you need to do, and always remember that what you need to prioritize are those who will bring you positivities and not those that will only become another burden.

we are all facing difficulties in life , but what is important on how we are managing it and how we wanted to succeed on it.

You are procrastinating and it is normal when you are distracted. You're allowing the distraction that get you caught and that's why you're experiencing that problem.

I have always been like that but I am trying to fight and think of the goal that I need to achieve.

Think of the things that you're trying to aim for yourself and maybe that can help you out get out of that delay.

I think this is  not laziness mate instead you don't know how to focus your self because this is what made you have second thinking of things that must prioritized.

Why not put your mind in "1st things 1st"?

meaning priority this one first and then face others after that one , try not to multi task because that will bring you more options and will never finish what you have started.

Focus mate, Focus

I am not diagnosing you but this sounds to me a classic case of ADHD you can not seem to focus on one task and is often bothered or distracted by other things I suggest you try to follow on this thread and see for yourself if you indeed have this condition or you have just built unhealthy habits

If you are being lazy even being an healthy adult capable of doing the activities you want and also no medical condition that burdens you then all you need to do is just change your mindset that you are going to complete what you started no matter what.

Just do one thing, even if it's a small task just focus on completing one by one and don't think about anything else this can result into snow ball effect which can turn everything soon than you expected.
