EOS have a plan to do it, its already have some adoption in Venezuela as payment processor and also provide micro loan for some bussiness there.
Also, its now deploying its Governance system (EdenOS) and they already have election of its president

I don't know if EOS will go mainstream anytime soon. Other top alts like ETH or XRP are more popular when it comes to payment method

Its comes to mainstream on Venezuela, its not mainstream to the world since its a quite complicated to create wallet. Nowadays its not really hard, u can have scatter on desktop or Wombat on smartphone that would make u a wallet on a click. With wombat apps, tbh its a great apps with function to surf on dApps and smooth payment with possibilites to scan qr.

If you talk about mass adoption, crypto world is not lagging behind. The age of a given technology determines its rate of adoption. Talking about the traditional way we know. It has stayed for decades and every country operates in a way that soothes her and the government. The blockchain is pretty new technology and it's not on country bases, therefore it will require more years to massively scale through. The current rate of adoption is ok compared to the age of the technology.

As for the cryptocurrency with the high chances of being mass adopted, it is undeniably Bitcoin.

the adoption of blockchain technology on some real projects that have been running for a long time with traditional systems will be a little difficult.
But most institutional services have started this. You might not be aware but some banks have already started developing blockchain tech for their services and they are running as well.

Quote
it is because of the habits of the general public.
The public opinion and government opinion about blockchain is positive but the government opinion on bitcoin is sometimes negative. Though this will change in future.

Quote
as well as the selection of blockchain for each different project.
The base tech remains same. And I dont think we want the crypto projects to run their blockchains into mainstream services. After all major altcoins are all failures for the start and they have zero proper use cases.

Quote
not all of them can be implemented in the development of blockchain technology. we have to confirm the regulation first. because now most of the problems of every country lie in the definite regulations for crypto and blockchain.
Definitely looking forward to regulation - because once that has happened mainstream adoption will take a big step forward.

The biggest challenge for any crypto project is mass adoption and for various reasons many people still prefer the traditional method over blockchain technology. So, which crypto project do you know that has a real plan to expand globally and increase the mass adoption of your project and crypto in general?

The most reason why a lot of people still prefers traditional method over crypto is that, traditional methods have the full backup of the government and crypto on the other hand is yet to have half of the backup or government backings that traditional methods has.
However, owing to the speed at which this space is growing, a lot of crypto are already working on incorporating with merchants and business owners in order to make it possible for crypto to be used as a means of payment, this is also a form of mass adoption.
Also, another reason is, to use cryptocurrencies, the person needs to have some sort of knowledge about what he is getting involved with, else they will end up with the wrong notion and idea of cryptocurrencies as a whole.
Lastly, I can't say a particular crypto is working towards that, because a lot are already on that path, even Bitcoin is used as a payment method, so in all ramifications, as the crypto space grows, as more people gets the requesite knowledge of crypto, then we can start taking about full mass adoption.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are in talks for mass adoption. Most companies already accept payments with Bitcoin. Even the Tesla company accepts payments with Bitcoin. While Ethereum will be in the discourse to make payments globally at enterprises. If you read in the media, there are companies that pay employees salaries with Bitcoin. But I can not confirm the truth of the news. I'm just suggesting that, whatever the conditions then Bitcoin will be the solution. If you want to invest in crypto, leave some of your money to invest in Bitcoin. There is no bull run without Bitcoin.

The first thing that comes to my mind is Ethereum, smart contracts, etc. However, in my opinion, the mass adoption of any cryptocurrency can happen only as a result of government support from the leading countries of the world.

Everyone will turn their attention to ethereum, if the adoption occurs in the crypto world, then it is very likely that the development of cryptocurrencies will increase and be good in the future, what's more, the government's support is getting bigger for the future crypto journey, but what is feared is that support as a a form of slow weakening that they do to limit crypto from growing, if this happens then ethereum will experience big problems in the future.

It is slow. We can't expect that government will "fasten the adoption". Surely it will get the attention of their citizen, but they aren't the one that will surely enhance the rate of adoption.

Here in my country, I don't hear a lot of news for adoption pertaining cryptos even Bitcoin but on the good side we got ATMs in the metropolitan area.

This task has genuine plans and is in progress. without shrewd agreements organizations or designers will see it hard to coordinate their foundation with crypto. I'm not contemplating the present circumstance yet may be conceivable numerous financial backers are leaving out this venture and search for something that they could create more benefit.

Many people have different views in seeing the long-term prospects in the crypto world, we can prove this with the current development of crypto which is advancing so rapidly, I believe bitcoin is a good future project, despite the many challenges we face from this investment. If we look at the opportunities for bitcoin in the future, we can actually see from the development process of bitcoin in the past and present, they have gone through many things, both hard times and rapid price declines.

crypto project is keep increasing in the market mate wherein it's too hard to tell which project can really guarantee a good future because its very unpredictable aside of those already had proof how good they are in the space since the very first start such "bitcoin-ethereum and top 10 crypto in the market".

So if we will talk about new projects it's to difficult to be honest because every year there are some good projects as well that emerging to compete other projects in the market , so we cannot tell which will last and can guarantee a good future when it comes new crypto project, i mean it depends on the situation..

New available coin keeps coming and desire to be usable and be adopted, the question though if community and wide audience will accept it.

But if we look in a much better perceptions, we already have top coins above which more commonly being used by many crypto users, no need to

argue that in the long run, there are more and more adoptions coming from different venues. It takes time but no longer that challenging as it is

way back 10 years ago.

If you notice the adoption of the crypto increasing year by year So I am positive no of users will keep increasing. If you are aware of Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB you must know these three are well-known coins in the crypto market and widely use by crypto traders. Adoption is going on it will take time as it is very different from the traditional banking system.

I would love to recommend XSN, the native coin of Stakenet. A well-established project backed by a solid team and white paper. Grab this opportunity now to fill up your bags with XSN while its price is still super cheap. With the current exciting developments that are happening now, the rate of mooning for this coin is pretty much high. Check it out!

I think Ethereum. Ethereum in my opinion has succeeded in developing blockchain technology and many coins or tokens have adopted the greatness of Ethereum blockchain technology which at this time they have also been successful and those who initially adopted Ethereum smart contracts are now preparing their own smart contracts.

Why not BNB, for example? And not just BNB, I believe there are other good ones that have huge potential!
Learn about Bitcoin, learn from Bitcoin... how everything started! I believe in the beginning every new person was important, now Bitcoin is being adopted by big companies. It's the path of all crypto projects, little by little, place by place, until crypto conquers the entire world!
So which coin will get there first is like gambling, Bitcoin has the highest chances probably, but there are others with high chances too! I guess each of us has some picks, but only time will tell who was right! So don't gamble, diversify and have more than one coin in your portfolio!
I also think like that so I no longer mention Bitcoin as an example because Bitcoin is already used in a larger space so I use Ethereum as an example because currently Ethereum is one of the coins that has been able to develop blockchain technology (smart contracts) in cryptocurrencies many adopted by other Altcoins.
If I'm not mistaken, BNB has also used the Ethereum blockchain.

Bitcoin can get mass adoption from people because people know bitcoin first and then the altcoin or the other project. Bitcoin will expand globally among the other projects because bitcoin leads the crypto market so people will see bitcoin as the opportunity to make money. They will see that crypto is not just about bitcoin and then if they dig deeper inside the crypto, they will find that the altcoin and the other project can allow them to make money.

Bitcoin has clearly become the most mainstream at this time. however, besides bitcoin there is still a potential altcoin ready for mass adoption. namely ethereum and binance. for ethereum is still constrained by high gas costs. maybe ethereum can lower gas costs so it can be like binance so that during mass adoption it will be able to attract the public

As it sits right now, bitcoin is still the leading crypto when you talk about mass adoption. Other alts may follow but bitcoin is the first to recognize by many even noncrypto users. When you talk about other alts, they feel confused.

Every crypto project has the plan to dominate, there is just no way all of them are going to really start traction. They may hype a bit but after some time the hype will die. There is a way to really check them out and it's by looking at the dominance chart https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/

8 coins so far except the stablecoins that ranked from BTC, ETH, ADA, BNB, XRP, SOL, POL and DOGE.

There’s a lot of good project already available in many countries, its just that people are still not ready for cryptocurrency, they are still afraid to invest and to use it because of the volatility.

If the price becomes more stable then we might see them slowly coming into this market, I still see Bitcoin to lead us on that mass adoption and we are getting there.
That sometimes to think that adoption won't go that fast when the people who live around us will keep their minds negatively. There is no way we can move it fast but to see it very slow. Well, that mas adoption can't be done right away but for sure it comes when we all had open our minds and looks on the brighter side of crypto, not only the dark side of it. I understand that we care about the risk but we couldn't make it change if we don't try and see the results.

Well obviously Bitcoin. It's already going around the world actually. Maybe not that adoption that many people imagined, but surely it is the one that it is getting the attention more than the other coins out there in the market obviously.
People still prefer traditional method just because they feel safer in banks than in decentralized currencies.
I expect this since before as not all have that kind of appreciation towards that market.
The said adoption will it moves slowly and little by little people will understand how it helps to our lives. Education and full support from the government will help to fasten the adoption. Without such awareness and support, I can imagine that 10 years from now we've found no huge changes but to expect that many were still doubtful and had no knowledge about cryptocurrency.

The most well known project working at mass adoption is Ethereum of course. There are other blockchains that are trying in different ways to achieve the same like MINA for instance is just that these have not been around for that long to be so well know.

To be fair, it doesn't so much matter which blockchain makes it there first it is all about the outcome - making it!

The biggest challenge for any crypto project is mass adoption and for various reasons many people still prefer the traditional method over blockchain technology.
They will prefer it and it will take a long long time before a transition will start.
People prefer to use the traditional method of paying which is the fiat currency because they feel comfortable with it. Another one is that is the currency that all of us are accepting unlike crypto that only a few are accepting it as of this moment. I agree that it is the biggest challenge right now and its normal too that transitioning from another currency to another will take some time.
Bitcoin is definitely the way to go, there is no way that it wouldn't be bitcoin. All we need is a way to get into phones of everyone. The shops that suppose to accept it needs to actually handle this part, if we could convince more and more places to accept bitcoin or even any other coin then we are going to be doing fine, but it hasn't been that easy at all, it has been quite the challenge.

There are tons of people who are willing to pay with crypto to buy something, and there are not enough places that take crypto for giving whatever it is, so we do not need to convince people who spend money, we need to convince people who accept it, like a cafe, an ikea like place, a bookstore, a hotel, whatever it is, just accept crypto, and we will have mass adoption for sure.
Mass education for crypto should always be the first step so that people will eventually understand how crypto works and how it will be beneficial for us. Its hard for everyone to accept crypto and use it right away as a currency without having been informed on how to use it and how it can be an advantage compared to the traditional method.

Blockchain technology is definitely better compared to the traditional method. People cannot realize it because they are still attached to fiat because the government backed it up and because they are already used to it. Especially with older people who cannot easily adopt blockchain technology because they don't have enough knowledge on it and because they have no time to understand it either.

The massive introduction of cryptocurrency will begin, perhaps, after governments and large financial structures subordinate to them will be able to take full control of financial flows. As of now, the whales manipulate the bitcoin market, so they will do it. Until then, there will be all kinds of bans and regulations.

It is definitely true that the mass adoption of crypto is still miles and miles away and to be honest i am also one of those guys that just see cryptos as an investment at the moment and not as an alternative payment method for my daily life. To be honest i don't want to spend the few fractions of btc that i own to by myself something because i see BTC as an investment asset just like Gold. There are projects out there though that are accelerating the adoption of crypto. For example collateral pay.
If you are just keep holding your bitcoin for the rest of your life, then how would you able to contribute to the mass adoption of crypto? Bitcoin and ethereum are definitely the most popular coins right now that are almost near to its adoption but it won't be realize until you start using bitcoin as a currency.  Blockchain technology has more great advantages compared to the traditional method but still most of the people only see blockchain as non reliable so they prefer to use fiat because its more reliable and backed by the government.

Honestly, the traditional method is still used by majority of the individuals because these people are not even aware that blockchain technology is much useful and beneficial than the old one. So if they can be educated about crypto and blockchain technology as early as now, then we might be close to its mass adoption of crypto.

I don't really mind that problem for now, because in my country it is still prohibited so waiting for mass adoption is still a long time and waiting for crypto to be legalized here first. right now you can trade crypto here, I'm already happy, especially if it's already valid later it will be even more useful.

DeFi will make crypto expand globally. Interest rates are below 0 in several countries now. Why would I put my money in a bank when I can put it in a DeFi platform like Spookyswap, Pancakeswap, or Ref Finance and make over 200% APY? Once people figure this out it's over for traditional banking. All you need is a crypto card and DeFi becomes your bank.

I have met many projects that state that they have an ambition to spread all over the world. Talking about ways how projects can make many people aware of their work is to run a big marketing campaign.
Marketing one project is not mass adoption of cryptocurrency but a specific currency only. I have not seen bitcoin-based awareness programs but altcoin specific events. It shows that developers only care for their own project but dont spread bitcoin's name while they take investments in bitcoin. Roll Eyes

Having a celeb is both good and bad. Firstly we have seen many celebs come in this sector and get ripped off their reputation because the project went bankrupt. We dont want more Floyd backed Centra scams my friend. In most cases these celebs dont even have the brains to understand what crypto is and how it works. They are only paid promoters, which is not a good thing IMO.

Because when the project tanks the real owners will go missing while the celeb will be attacked everywhere on social media.

The biggest challenge for any crypto project is mass adoption and for various reasons many people still prefer the traditional method over blockchain technology. So, which crypto project do you know that has a real plan to expand globally and increase the mass adoption of your project and crypto in general?

I have met many projects that state that they have an ambition to spread all over the world. Talking about ways how projects can make many people aware of their work is to run a big marketing campaign. They should attract celebrities and big partners. And the most important thing is that they have to do something that is necessary for all people, and they should be user-friendly, of course.

People just need the time to accept crypto and blockchain. it didn't mean if they were prefer the traditional method over the blockchain technology. If you're asking your grandma and grandpa about this and they will be saying that if they will still prefer the blockchain tech but the different thing will happen when you're asking teens and they will prefer the tech over the traditional method. The development in the technology were running so fast. that's why the new generations will prefer to use the blockchain and various technology rather than still to use the old tech. I have been asking my grandpa about that and they were also saying the same thing like what you're saying above. The old generations were still worrying about the reliability of the blockchain tech these days. People should need process to adopt a new thing. This is also based on my experience too

If you are talking about the application of decentralized technologies in the real sector, for universal application. Then we need to consider a blockchain that can handle a huge amount of information, with cheap transactions and a multifaceted and easy to develop and integrate programming language.
Personally, I know that Near Protocol is applying its blockchain to the real financial sector. In order to make cryptocurrency more mainstream. After all, the capabilities of the Near Ecosystem are amazing in their versatility.

All top cryptocurrencies want to be used around the world and therefore developers of all top cryptocurrencies are trying to improve their cryptocurrencies to new heights all the time, as well also these developers are making marketing of their cryptocurrencies all the time so that as many people around the world as possible would start using their cryptocurrencies, but how we know most governments have a negative attitude towards cryptocurrencies and because of this mass adoption of cryptocurrencies is not as fast as we would like to see.

Crypto mass adoption is not something that can happen over night, it's something everyone must come together to make it work out just like the path that CZ (binance) choosed, if every crypto projects can keep giving their bests mass adoption will work out on its own, also we still have old people my grandma for example can't even operate any smartphone talkless of a computer so we don't need instant crypto adoption, it's going to take time and that's how it should be

it can't be seen which projects can be mass-adopted. but for now there are some coins that can be used for direct transaction systems in the world. including ethereum and bitcoin. These two coins have often been rumored to be accepted globally. for new projects, so far no project that imitates the two coins has been seen

I would always choose Bitcoin because we've already seen how people trusted. However, some people still need enough knowledge and understanding about what cryptocurrency is because if people will be aware of its importance, adoption will surely follow especially when they notice that it could provide convenience and financial freedom.

Bitcoin.

We dont need any more crypto "projects" to defame the name of crypto. Truely speaking, bitcoin has all the ingredients needed to be able to the economy and altcoins can only remain on the sidelines to help out a sidekicks. Tongue

As you can already see, those stores that till date accept crypto keep bitcoin as first option. So you know now how the mass adoption is going to start and run.

We have seen many other blockchains attempt to take over this, but they have all failed miserably. Only because they have a human backing them who wants to make profit, while bitcoin is completely decentralized.

It seems to see that most of the replies above are promoting the Divi project.

I think mass adoption will come fast when many projects reach usability enough to let all people use crypto without problems. It's still too complicated - especially for old people.

I think for me, we can't force people to use the current trend, just like using Bitcoin or cryptocurrency.
But we can invite them, educate them about this. We should respect their decision, they have their own views too about cryptocurrency and for me the main reason they will tell you, "I don't know that, I don't know how to use, I am not techy, I am afraid to lose my money".

Bitcoin stared to hit the main stream and have you hear El Salvador making Bitcoin legal tender today? This could be the beginning of mass adoption and fortunately to those who are living on a free country where you can use cryptocurrency legally. Bitcoin will continue to lead us into a more good opportunity, just keep investing and adopt as well, buy every dip and wait to make profit.

But what I see on its market price, it was decreasing and probably it means that this project has been not performing great this time. I'm not thinking bad about this situation but might be possible many investors are leaving out this project and look for something that they could generate more profit.

As far as I know, ethereum is the first. Its smart contract innovation has been successfully adopted by almost all token-based crypto companies around the world. Since these companies were able to easily develop their versions of tokens, the growth in adoption would also have an effect on other coins dominating the market at the time that served as hedges.

I'm pretty sure almost everyone has heard of crypto in different media platforms but they still stay away from it. Why? This is the effect of negative news from mainstream media.

This is how crypto is usually portrayed,
- "It's used for criminal activities"
- "It's unregulated"
- "It's pump and dump"
- "It's a bubble"

Today there are many cryptocurrencies available on the market (over 4,000 have been developed after Bitcoin), and we can invest in them and use them for payment online. However, even though there is an increased interest in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, globally, there isn't a mass adoption of crypto.

The blockchain technology was still a new thing for ordinary people and you must not expect this kind of new technology will be adopted easily by ordinary people in a short time. They will have needed the time to adapt to the next technology called blockchain.

So, which crypto project do you know that has a real plan to expand globally and increase the mass adoption of your project and crypto in general?
It must be bitcoin and ethereum. Both were getting adopted globally by countries, companies, and merchants in the future.
It doesn't make sense to mention another coin consider bitcoin and ethereum are the most popular coins in the crypto ecosystem.
