It doesn't really matter what section you look for content in honestly. All sections are spammed by SIG campaign members and its really a joke anymore.

These campaigns mostly have managers who are doing poor jobs. I'm not saying every manager is trash cause I wasn't perfect myself. Its more a matter of what someone deems as spam. These campaign users have been paid far too long for bullshit and if we managers did better jobs maybe the spam would stop.

For example: Look in services section, there is a thread looking for ppl to post on a forum. I can add link to this thread when I get home, https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/need-workers-to-make-posts-1465022 ,  but my point is, at the time of me reading the thread there were 17 replies so far. Avirunes talked about escrow early on in 1st 4 posts of the thread. Within 13 more posts 3 other users started talking about use escrow.

Me personally have the feeling that not 1 soul actually read all the replies in that thread. They have a quota to meet and just posted whatever came to mind. If someone has already mentioned escrow in the thread then there's no reason for any of the other posts to count towards their respective campaigns. I might feel its ok if there's no reply to an escrow comment by the time a thread reaches page 2 for someone to mention escrow again but 4-5 responses on escrow on page 1 is going overboard and managers need to step up and actually do their jobs.

Now as far as managers go I can see some saying fuck that, youre asking us to do too much work for what little money we make. My response to those managers would be no I'm not. You applied for a job, a paying job, you should do your job. Maybe you should charge a rate that makes doing your job worth it vs just trying to get a job for crap rates. In the long run if managers tighten the reigns and stop paying users for bullshit work I feel ppl will have to start reading threads and making comment relevant to threads and comments that are not repeats.

Hey BCT,

I'm pretty new to bitcoin and for the last few weeks I've been trying to earn my first few bitcoins by using my Web Design/Development skills. So far I haven't gotten one valid freelance job yet. That might be because there is more supply than demand but another problem I've noticed is that the actual services that require skill are very quickly being spammed out of view by the signature campaigns and other sketchy job offerings. my question is why aren't these no-skills requiring low paying services added to their seperate forum section? as they seem to be very populair for some reason. Or better yet why isn't there a seperate forum section for actual services like Graphic Design, Writing, Web Design/Development and Programming.

Thanks

That is a good recommendation this is for easy search for the right services,I also offer similar service and had similar experience it was diluted by those spam comments without asking for job description,I'm looking forward to  have  sections sort out for legit buyer and seller of services..

There aren't many freelance jobs posted in the Services section
There are quite a number of freelance jobs posted in the services section.Only good one's get the change to complete them.Totally skill based.

and hence if the Signature Campaigns are even shifted to another section, the Services section would look empty with barely 20-25 threads of freelancers/jobs.
That's not the case, the services section still has more "SERVICES" than signature campaigns. It's due to weekends and payouts ,the signature campaigns threads are bumped.

If you want to advertise your skill, you can post it in the section and people could approach you for the same. But I would recommend you to visit Odesk/Freelancer/Elance websites instead.

OP,do you mind linking us to your thread ? Maybe because he hasn't put the relevant details or portfolios to attract people. If OP is wanting to earn bitcoins, those mentioned websites don't support that as a method of payments yet.

If you dont want to miss new threads in a certain section I suggest you use the watchlist[1]. You can add a board to it[2] by its ID. For services[3] its 52. Now you have a list of possible interesting threads, if you dont want to follow one, open it and click the unwatch link in the top right. This should eliminate most of the digging, you can even use edit watchlist[4] to remove several topics at once just by reading their titles.

I just presumed jobs offered here where mostly trust building for more serious work down the line.
Are there not forums for these types of jobs where you can specify wanting to be paid in bitcoin?
Again I guess I presumed it was mostly people trying to get their feet wet and the majority of the work went to established accounts.
You are doomed to fight against signature threads, maybe thats what needs to be moved so the thread. are not lost.

It was suggested many time to have a separate board for signature campaign threads so there will be more room for the service like you offer, but still no action from theymos.

if someone wants XX service they will look for XX threads and not YY ones. so having YY threads on the front page is not really a big deal, right? cmiiw.

How about giving us a more concrete example and numbers? How many threads on the first 2-3 pages represent such services? I don't have the time to look/count right now.
