There may be many reasons for Bitcoin to drop but not one and what ever those reasons are they were products which was made by its users and I think at the end the real reason why Bitcoin was dropped due to its users misconducts because some holders tried to take an advantage from bitcoins higher price and sold there coins and some used Bitcoin to invest in other altcoins which made the supply higher than the demand among exchanges and these facts made a huge impact on Bitcoin price to drop

Bitcoin supplier: "I'll trade you a bunch of 0s and 1s for $15,000"

Bitcoin sucker: "Ok, sounds like a great deal to me"

Next Bitcoin sucker: "I want to buy some 0s and 1s also but only for $13,000"

Bitcoin supplier: "Sure thing, how many do you want?"

Next Bitcoin sucker: "How about selling me 3 for $10,000 a piece?"

Bitcoin supplier: "Yep, pay in cash, please."

Bitcoin supplier: "I'm running a real deal special. I'm selling 0s and 1s for $7500 each"

Bitcoin suckers: "I'll take some", "Me too", "save some for me", "I'll buy 1/2 your stash for $5000"

Bitcoin supplier: "Sunday's Special 0s and 1s on Sale for $3200"

Bitcoin suckers all together: "We have already bought a lot at higher prices. We are only losing each time you sell cheaper. What should we do?"

Bitcoin supplier: "Hodl and buy more"  Grin Grin Grin
There have many reasons for bitcoin price dropped. If anyone tries to drop bitcoin personally i think it's impossible so need to be negative feedback and rejected from any country or organization and most of the time price down for this type of news. Bitcoin was started down when China ban bitcoin and ico and some exchanger also than again sec investigated on the crypto market down.

I think there are many reasons that cause bitcoin to decline. However, we do not know for sure which reason is right and cause this decline. But for me personally, the reason for this decline tends to be a decline in people's trust in bitcoin and they don't want to risk too much.

I believed that the regulations contributed big to this downfall in which many investors are now in difficult to join the investments. Before the regulation, anyone can invest in Bitcoin including the dirty money in which the bad guys will use the Bitcoin to hide their assets but now that regulation is fully implemented then these bad people are now prevented to join this investment.

I agree. I think that has had quite a big effect on Bitcoin price being kept at bay. I say that because there are so many effects and implications that has. As it is regulated quite strictly, many people begin to think many governments or similar entities that controls money or marketable assets do not support it, and so, people who are in the market already start to change their minds, while people who are not, are too afraid to plunge in. Another effect it has is the limited transaction cryptocurrency users do with it, since for some, it may be treated as illegal, for others, they are waiting and waiting for the right time. Hopefully, all these will change in the near future to help the market regain its losses.

I have seen this story from an old friend, but I think it might be true, I still enjoy the price of bitcoin now if indeed the price will continue to fall preparing to buy
keep thinking positively is indeed a very good thing to do now. well, I'm still having fun with the current price, and I think the current price is still quite high. however we have to prepare a variety of circumstances, even though the price of bitcoin will continue to decline, we must be prepared. maybe some people have prepared their funds to buy at a cheap price.

According to my understanding bitcoin price dropped some holders tried to take an advantage from bitcoins higher price and sold there coins and some used bitcoin to invest in other altcoins which made bitcoin supply higher than the demand and i think these facts made a huge impact on bitcoins price to drop but with the current adoption and increasing demand in businesses the price of bitcoin will easily rise again

The main and basic reason is still unknown. Other reasons are based on previous - it is like a chain...
First, it was not an organic growth - it was artificially pumped. Then, governments could not regulate it. The next things are that many project built on Blockchain were not legit and were hacked, many transactions were sent nowhere, exchanges and platforms were hacked. This is the whole phenomenon which has influenced on the BTC price trend. And actually it is not all information how it really was. In my opinion, there are some facts which are not described publicly Huh

The only reason why bitcoin fell is the fact that it is still alive. This is a normal market operation when there are ups and downs. The one who understands it and doesn't give in to a general panic wins on it. Unfortunately, there are very few such people.
I think you are right cause any kind of business it is happened the ups and down the value in the market. And there is no reason to be panic if you understand how it works in the market but some people are lack of knowledge about it and they panic quickly.

There are many reasons, and these as well. The government does not allow free circulation, and yet, some people's mental attitudes also prevent them from fully implementing the currency. Need for all the time.

In very nice way and a bit humoristically you described how the free market works.
This is the normal mechanism of any free market. When the demand grew, the price increases, when the demand falls, the price also decreases.

Demands defined the market increase and falls.
No demands no movement of price.
Demands is the very first thing the market needs to improve.
Tokens won't stay longer in crypto world without enough demands to circulate the tokens in the market place.

We are strong community for supporting Bitcoin. We should not sell our valuable asset at the down price. Actually you are right that we are responsible for decreasing the price. Besides, many fake news are affecting on Bitcoin price.

We all know the price drop of Bitcoin will be not solved by anyone because cryptocurrencies are the currencies which we cannot make any changes on that so we are know the price will be very low at this time but we cannot fix the reason for the falling of this will be something so it will definitely get move on either it will be positive or negative but it will definitely go on to some other way.

Well most panick sellers do make price of bitcoin drops and when they panicked sells investors loose funds and which in turns made they withdraw funds.

I think that there are many reasons but the main one is that governments don't accept it and people are afraid of facing risks as well. However, I think that it is more than one factor
there is a possibility of market saturation, because all products will always be corrected if they are at the highest level, which is called market saturation, but things like this should not last long, because the market will rise again, seeing great potential in the future, bitcoin will always be used as alternative payments or to save the economy of a country, for example Venezuela, which has hyper inflation and starts using Crypto as a rescue tool.

Practically this is how it happens during the price fall when people offer to buy cheap and also agree to sell cheaper.  No remedy to this than fall in price.  One way to quickyiavoid this is if everyone is disciplined and determined to hodl for a specific time. This can reduce the rate of price fall

Your story is similar to my friend's story, when last month my friend invited me to sell all bitcoin, because my friend was scared and anxious, seeing that prices were no longer as beautiful as last year, but I didn't follow them, I continued to make purchases, I continued gather, and my friend saw me collecting a lot of my coins in investment, and finally my friend also followed in my footsteps and kept collecting some favorite coins, and my friend was also sure that the bitcoin would rise high, but we continued to wait until the price rose to the highest .

If anyone is truly bewildered by the massive drop in Cryptocurrencies over the last year then they clearly can't be familiar with trading in general. Anything in any market (stocks etc), that soars up in price in the fashion that these cryptocurrencies did, eventually need to face a correction (in this case 80%+). It is healthy for the market actually, it could never withstand the pace that it was going at.

I agree but majority didn't see it that way. They though that the price will still go on parabolic rise even though all signs points that we have bubbled already. Lots of irrational investors, mostly newbies got burned easily and I think most of them go bankrupt and went out last May-June time frame. And by the way, I don't think supplier will be the appropriate term here, though.

The pump of 2017 was definitely a bubble. All the big investors and whales took out the profits and left the small investors to the massacre .
It has blew the minds of many as the blood bath is still continuing. I have myself lost a majority of my savings due to lack of ignorance.
I wish I had recognized it earlier that the bubble will burst so quick, I would have cashed out few of my savings. I know many others are in the same situation as me.

I think there is no one but many because today many things are happening against bitcoins progress like restrictions or regulations by governments, bad news from popular media sources, huge amount bitcoin pumping to the market due to other altcoin ico projects because many of the holders are investing using bitcoin and for reasons bitcoin price is dropping rapidly than we anticipated but these things can be changed in the future because we cannot think that the above things will keep happening forever

Last sentence was very funny: hodl and buy more.
Btw everyone wants to sell in high price but sometimes someone is in a hurry and they want to sell immediately. Usually they do it when they have bought in cheap price, for them some $ difference doesn't matter a lot. Also when some bad announcement happens, people are in a hurry and lower price. Once coinmarketcup removed some exchangers and this resulted in a wrong price. There are so many reasons, btw your dialogue is a little bit hilarious but good.

This doesn't have anything to do with the price. There are government agencies that does not accept bitcoin but in the end, bitcon went to skyrocket last year to nearly $20,000. I think this speculation is good about what is happening in the price.

I think there was 2 important facts for this crash:

1.- The BCH fork. Thos whales making what they want with coins and markets bring a big breaking off on the bitcoin ecosystem.

2.- Before the crash we see on the blockchain how 200,000 btc get moved in a couple of transaction, some people say that was miners getting out from the business but no one knows yet. It was $1,000 millions less on the market.

Dumping is one of the reasons for the dropped in the price of bitcoin but the truth still remains that exchanging bitcoin for cash is just one of the reasons there are still many other reasons also such as the constant attack on bitcoin by government and the activities of scam project which always give the entire network a bad name there by scaring potential investors away.

But in a real world scenario that is not how things happen. There are things more behind than someone selling Bitcoin at even a cheaper price, the supplier is not always the one who is asking for lower prices everytime they sale as they are personally devaluing their own asset without any special reason. Factors such as news, FUD, mining difficulty, and others are always taking in place when someone is selling as they are putting it up for their decisions. In other words your scenario is not as simple as what you think it is.

there are actually many reasons why bitcoin prices are down,
this is the reason why bitcoin prices are down,
the first reason is the number of traders more than users,
the second reason is fraud, and the third reason is the ban on using bitcoin in various countries.

and so say, the bitcoin cash suppliers, bitcoin gold suppliers, etc. there is no moral in this trash.

more and more trash being dumped on the person that trust that crap, and all bitcoin premine is beeing sold out, the market simply introduces a new coin and tries to shadow away bitcoins market influence.

everyone buying dash, bitcoin gold, or zcash should know that the developers of those cryptos will give a damn about their longterm success after they have sold their premine, like it was the case for litecoin.

all investors will be systmatically losers if they follow that trash

This is very hilarious. But do you think that is the real reason for the drop in the price of Bitcoin? The crypto space is a decentralized environment where the market value of a particular is determined by the rate at which the coin is bought at a specific price within a particular duration in time. It is believed that people with the large quantity of a particular coin determines the market value for a specific time interval. The more you have, the more you can control the price of the coin at a point in time.

Government:   Give me $1000 in gold and I'll give you a piece of paper to represent it.

100 years later, that piece of paper buys 1/100th of what it originally did.

1's and 0's also provide immensely better security and portability than paper.

Hence, bitcoin.

Why is the price down?

Because it got too high for the current level of adoption and understanding.
That doesnt mean it has no value or will never go up again.

FIAT USD is backed by murder, if columbia doesn't sell its cocaine in USD, then the CIA goes in and changes cartel heads,

If saudi doesn't sell its oil to the world in USD, then CIA goes into Saudi and finds a new family to run the concession

At this point in time, BTC has no mercenary army to threaten death upon the world for failure to adopt.

Government:   Give me $1000 in gold and I'll give you a piece of paper to represent it.

100 years later, that piece of paper buys 1/100th of what it originally did.

1's and 0's also provide immensely better security and portability than paper.

Hence, bitcoin.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on why you think is causing the drop in the price of Bitcoin. But I don't really think these are the cause of the drop in its price. In a decentralized system, people have the same opportunity to set the price at which they want to sell their digital assets. With regards to Bitcoin, those with large quantity of it determines the price at which it can be bought.

In very nice way and a bit humoristically you described how the free market works.
This is the normal mechanism of any free market. When the demand grew, the price increases, when the demand falls, the price also decreases.

You reminded me of Morgan Stanley selling non existent gold to investors and even charging for storage.
This is simple. Whales took profit and moved out of bear market to other projects. Smaller investors like us are in fear and many have pulled out or don't want to invest.. We might be in bear market around 2.5k-6k for whole 2019

I mean there has been a great bubble of hype. Bitcoin hype everywhere. With bitconnnneeeeeect scandal I knew that it is time to pop the bubble. Also there might be big recession so relax and watch the people panic  Wink If you have money buy stuff at discount

This is a humorous piece, In other words, the Bitcoin supplier sold off his assets when the price was at the all-time high, while the Bitcoin suckers, due to FOMO rushed in to buy citing that it had slightly dropped in price forgetting that the price drop was just only starting. Grin Grin

Some most even possibly panic sold as the price continued to drop and right now don't want anything to do with crypto trading

I think that there are many reasons but the main one is that governments don't accept it and people are afraid of facing risks as well. However, I think that it is more than one factor
