This is what a Russian ban on bitcoin looks like... and that's only on localbitcoins.com.

As for the rest of your assertions.. they're baloney and already rebutted further up-post.

simple rules of bitcoin:

  • 1.) if you have wild theories about upward price manipulation: buy BTC
  • 2.) if you have wild theories about downward price manipulaton: sell BTC
  • 3.) repeat until emotion stops
  • 4.) if none of above: HODL and enjoy ride

Sounds like it is time to sell all your coins, withdraw the fiat and logout of this forum. You are obviously in a place you don't want to be.

Here's how it works guys.

PRE-REQUISITE: china is the home of scams in the world. No surprise they got into bitcoin in a big way.

Some chinese (or group of chinese) has a HUGE amount of bitcoin. They cannot afford a price crash.

Everytime the market goes down because small holders dump, the chinese group is supporting the price. They figure its worth the cost for them in the long term to prevent a market panic.

The will hold the price stable for long enough that the panic ends and people start to buy again (maybe 1,2,3 weeks). As soon as that happens, they then start to liquidate or even stop buying.  (in this case stop buying can be enough to crash the price).  Therefore we have a period of stability or even positive move UP, followed by a waiting period (where they stop buying) and then a crash when they start to liquidate.

Don't be fooled guys. There is one group of chinese with a huge holding and they are controlling the price through selected pumps or dumps.  Eventually the price will crash but because the BTC is in a small number of hands they can pump it hugely before then.

Dont stand in the way of this train. Best option is to sell out your BTC now since you know what is going on. This is a SCAM COIN 100%.

Sounds like it is time to sell all your coins, withdraw the fiat and logout of this forum. You are obviously in a place you don't want to be.

Sure, some parties hold a large part of bitcoins, and there is heavy manipulation, but that does not mean it will lead to losses for people that buy coins now. If you hold a lot, you want it to be worth even more, so they pump it more than they dump it.

Overstock has patented a lot of stuff, for example. Mainly applications of blockchain tech like: use it for settlement, use it for stock lending, use it for . They have implemented the tech and they're starting to use it (http://t0.com, the SEC has approved their plan to issue/settle stock on a blockchain (not bitcoin probably (see a real effect of blocksize limit here!!) they're "blockchain agnostic")). I consider Patrick Byrne to be a "good guy" (being called "man most hated by wallstreet" says something). He's been fucked good by the banks/wallstreet decades ago and now it's payback time. He says he'd like to be part of R3 consortium "just to make sure they're steered in the right directions" but says he fears it could be powergrab by the banks in the sense that they'll dev blockchain tech for settlement and whatnot, then call their buddies in government to put into law that their system must be used and t0 is outlawed or somehow else hampered. I kinda share that fear. They wanna have the cake and eat it too. Everybody knows blockchain use is going to be real for all kinds of things in financial sphere.

reference: Patryk Byrne, CEO of Overstock.com and Founder of T0 Speaks at Inside Blockchains, San Diego

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPBC6UYyAGk (part 1)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRe5KmyNmtU (part 2)

part 2 is even more interesting if you only have time for 1 of them

I hope this puts OPs "scam" into perspective a little bit

How do the "established banks now own the patent to the technology"?

Can't patent "prior art" unless you can PROVE you did the "prior art", which "the established banks" have ZERO ability to do.

Charging over $400 real dollars for a made up virtual token that will be one of the most illegal things in the near future? What? Yes... this is what greed and ignorance does to people.

It's weird: people charging $10,000 for a kilogram of cocaine while it's one of the most widely illegal things on the planet.

Ha ha... True.
Even if Bitcoin does become illegal, I would love to see the cops try to seize my bitcoins.  Smiley

The government is greedy, they can't get enough money. They also can't handle not getting money from taxes. Idiots. It's like they want us to have to pay 10,000 bitcoins again for a pizza until they have millions, then stop being retards & let the price go up to $500 ez money

hehe, yeah. Just wait, wouldn't be surprised if some of those schmocks tried fixing the price of bitcoin by using law.

At best the value of btc will be around $30-50 when used in a niche of underground illegal activities.

50 bucks per coin sounds a bit too high for a made up virtual token and a scam. 0$ is the real price of btc. Right?

If you really think bitcoin is worth 0, I will buy some from you for a price higher than 0, say $20 each bitcoin.

We had a great idea, they took it from us. Don't let them or the remaining scammed take your hard earned money as well. At best the value of btc will be around $30-50 when used in a niche of underground illegal activities.

The above are only bad dreams of someone who were dead drunk before going to bed to sleep. Nothing true is on these words. First bitcoin is fully legal in Usa, half legal in China (and according to me soon or later fully legal) and banned only in Russia. The EU as an overall entity has not formal position about bitcoin (at least this is what i know since today). So bitcoin is not illegal and cannot be even in the future because have no meaning to become so if was made legal firstly. Then second, are not the Governments who decide about bitcoin. Russia has baned bitcoin but the bitcoin black market is more active than ever there. Soon or later the Russian Government and the Bank of Russia (with another Government naturally) will legalize it. Or at least will regulate it partially. Bitcoin was born without the permission of any Government and has gain its value and its actual status without the care of any Government. It is natural that if will be fight its increase as currency will slow down but will never stopped. And that values wondered by the OP for it or the use of it only in such kind of places like Op tell are only the continue of its drunk dream.

It's quite possible, but i don't see the point of troll threads either way, because they can't really make any difference, and they also result in sharp reactions
and comments by the community like you can whiteness in this thread. The only logical conclusion is that op sold too low, and is now in rage mode, overestimating
his influence, which honestly noone cares about, not with statements like these.

They first gonna make large dump by selling those lots of coin they get from the arrested bitcoin holders like silk road owners etc and we all will sell being panic. Than government will tie up with large banks and keep on buying on the background. In this way they can manipulate the market in future easily like some of them do with gold and silver till now.

No he's a proven Bitcoin shorter who is forever talking FUD to try and drive the price down.   The good news is, he makes a moderately reliable contrarian indicator.

Given his past prediction accuracy, Whenever he shows up and starts playing his cracked record of exaggerated scary phrases, you can bet hes feeling a squeeze and trying to talk his way out of it.   If you do the *opposite of what he suggests you probably stand a better than even chance of being correct, since he almost always isnt.

Hows that "Definitely down to $180 within a couple of weeks" prediction going Kwuk ?   Grin

I missed that one! I suspect its been superseded by last weekend's Weekend target $320 and its sequel, Unable to break $400. However, even these prophecies have given way to $500, grudgingly. And we're still all doooooooomed.

But that's more than the $10 per Bitcoin you sold all your Bitcoins for years ago. You said Bitcoin's a collapsing Ponzi scheme all those years ago and yet it's still not collapsed. Your track record on predicting the future is a perfect reverse barometer. The opposite of what you predict happens.

Don't you guys know the bitcoin ponzi scheme is collapsing right now??
I sold my coins for 10 dollars before it was too late!

With the biggest governing bodies of the world; USA, China, Russia and EU cracking down on bitcoin while making sure the established banks now own the patent to the technology, the scam the community is making out of bitcoin is so obvious it's mind-boggling how people don't see it.

Charging over $400 real dollars for a made up virtual token that will be one of the most illegal things in the near future? What? Yes... this is what greed and ignorance does to people.

We had a great idea, they took it from us. Don't let them or the remaining scammed take your hard earned money as well. At best the value of btc will be around $30-50 when used in a niche of underground illegal activities.

Kwukduck is a bought account used for spamming.  I'm just going to post this anytime he posts.  The buyer shorted all year and made a little bit of money then lost everything when it went to 500, now he's back spamming whatever he can think of to try and make his new shorts work with his bought account all over again.

So how you doing with those short losses?

They first gonna make large dump by selling those lots of coin they get from the arrested bitcoin holders like silk road owners etc and we all will sell being panic. Than government will tie up with large banks and keep on buying on the background. In this way they can manipulate the market in future easily like some of them do with gold and silver till now.

Something will always be a successor to something.
Email took over email for the most part.
Bitcoin has the potential to do that. When people lose their faith in banks, one banks start doing shady stuff like in Cyprus you can expect people will look for alternatives.

Just my two bits.

Grin

You are really a die-hard, rock-solid bear aren't you? Yes, we know for the fact that the government is really a greedy entity, let alone a single human itself, but that doesn't always mean that we are being scammed by the gov't. Whales controlling the price movements? Probably some smart-ass early investor who believed so much in bitcoins and now sitting on a pile of coins. I wonder how would a decentralized network of computers be able to be controlled by the government? Roll Eyes

The government is greedy, they can't get enough money. They also can't handle not getting money from taxes. Idiots. It's like they want us to have to pay 10,000 bitcoins again for a pizza until they have millions, then stop being retards & let the price go up to $500 ez money

For real, yeah I guess Bitcoin was good while it lasted.
