Bitcoin_Arena has commented about this already, I too have seen many of these in the past, but they are not frequent. I think this is not what we should make a topic about. You already know about the advertisement in the past, you also know that is has been removed and no ads displayed unlike before, you seek no information and it is obvious we all are seeing the ads space to be displaying those recent information which makes this thread not to be necessary.
Factoids, they have been there even when advertising was still being done but one would get to see them once in a while as they had a 1 in 550 chance of appearing in the ad space.

Since Advertise on this forum was over, the Administrator find a different way to maximize that top space (visible place) to be a place to present of information about forum and bitcoin.
I have observed the forum from the top page thread and found important information that may be newbie doesn't know about that.
