I can feel your exasperation on trying to understand it all. Nevertheless, regarding being scammed in bounties, we all have felt it and or still experiencing it depending on the level of our information. You can choose to fellow what bounty to join from this thread here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/safe-campaigns-in-the-altcoin-section-to-join-dont-waste-your-time-with-others-5228629
Is the project really paying the bounty hunters? I would love to see other project to see success because the success of ICO project is also success to cryptocurrency. Though I am not fan anymore with ICO projects but still I am happy that there are few here that has been paying. Hopefully that OP in that thread will constantly update for more legit project to come and let every bounty hunter to join in it. I would love to try but I am more interested in investing or buying crypto. For now, I want to see how the project will going to be successful after the ICO period. Some are almost done which is relatively will happen mostly in the 1st or 2nd week of September if they will not going to extend.

The bounty section is still bedeviled with scam unlike the bitcoin section that signature campaign have 99%-100% chance of weekly payment in btc and reputable managers are 100% trusted to pay for your help, labour or support for the publicity you rendered.

If we keep sanitizing the bounty section by exposing scam bounties and managers, the section too will be a nice area to trust. I wish you the best as you keep doing your best on the forum.
Yes I do believe that the forum could change those scam ICO projects and with the help of other users here then it could be achieve. Theymos is the only guy manages this forum and it is a very hard job for him to cater request because most are persistent especially in scam activities.

That's quite a trick you got there. I don't know what it's about it as I'm yet to experiment it but, I'll already finding it exciting! I'll have to test run this.

Have you tried it out so far? Even if it is with the simplest and easiest tasks it is still good, most important thing is to start putting it into action and following through. Then you start to build that up and experiment as you go with it.

I am very interested in hearing your feedback!

Keep it up! for all things will follow. Learning here is not easy. I too get confused about cryptocurrency if only I have no friends helping me out here then probably I left in this forum. I can't get too long with the technical discussion which is only the basic of cryptocurrency but I was having a hard time on it already. I have been posting here a lot and joining too bounty campaign but sad to say did not earn from it instead all of the promise rewards are scam or if there could be a project that pays then it so bad that it will only be like few cents that could not compensate the time and resources through out in the promotion of the campaign.

I was inspire by your posts. The transition you have experience was relatively the same as what I have been experience. Lucky that I was able to join a signature campaign that pays btc. This is now my only chance to change the way I should behave in the forum. I earn a little and that is the good thing keeping me away from those scammers around that are rampant. They are very careless since they do not care about their activities which is very obvious and lesser user now fall for even a simple trap like give me 1 BTC and I will give you 2 BTC. The important thing is that there are many users here willing to guide and always giving input in regards to the forum and the users that are new around.

Extending help is one good thing to do that includes inspiring other users. This posts is one good example of a quality post and not all could do it here. I was amaze how the posts was being prepared and how long the post was been made. As an average poster like me would be having hard time to do it. Anyway, Congratulations on your transition and hoping that it will also inspire other users here like it did to me. Good luck on your journey here in the forum.

Yeah congrats bro. You know what I have made a lot posts too early days after my account was created. Of course the purpose is to earn by doing bouny campaign, submitting bounty reports and etc. just to get stake equivalent to tokens as a reward. Most of the time I get scam by the projects that are failing or team are group of scammers that does not pay rewards as promise. So, I change and started to learn more about cryptocurrency.

Regrets and realization is always at the end. Now that I know that I am not alone of a life changing in the forum, I was happy to see and hoping that many will do the same too.

I am getting more merits just recently without begging for it. It is not important for me to acquire it for the user account but it is the acknowledgement that you were being good in the forum. Ranking up is not really a important but to get acknowledge by legend here is one thing that is very important. This is the hardest part to get their trust in you for doing well in the forum. If it happens that they give you merits then pretty sure that you are doing well. Keep it up OP.

Do not mind ranking up instead be an asset and not a liability in the forum.

So this is daily routine:

Set your top 2 or maybe top 3 priorities for the day.

If you are just starting and trying out my way you can stand in front of a mirror and delegate top 2 or top 3 priorities of the day to yourself.
Then do those first with full commitment as you have the most energy early in the day.

When you think you are satisfied with the amount of effort and that you are done, take a breather and move on to less important tasks or activities.

There is lots of variations to this and you can experiment, but focusing on only 1 or 2 most important this of the day early and completing them brings satisfaction and relieves the pressure for the rest of the day as you know that most essential and crucial tasks are already behind you.

That's quite a trick you got there. I don't know what it's about it as I'm yet to experiment it but, I'll already finding it exciting! I'll have to test run this.
Meanwhile, congrats to owner of OP @Smartvirus, I find your posts really encouraging though, it's quite intimidating seeing how ambiguous it looked at first! But, it was worth the time it took me to run through from top to bottom. Keep doing your thing, it suits you!
Congrats once more on your new rank as a member of the forum.

Congrats m8

By the way I don't mind that post is long and I had no problem reading it to be honest, but suggestions about adding paragraphs to your posts are good and will help people that get intimidated by the walls of text to start reading your post.

Since you are writing about determination, willpower, focus and improving yourself I will offer you a routine that helped me once I adjusted it to my personality after years of finding the way. This applies to anything in life, not just the forum.

How to organize yourself daily and how to feel satisfied each day. This is not about happiness, but satisfaction. Being satisfied means that you know you did what you had to do to the best of your abilities, be it daily or overall on the way to your goal/s.

So this is daily routine:

Set your top 2 or maybe top 3 priorities for the day.

If you are just starting and trying out my way you can stand in front of a mirror and delegate top 2 or top 3 priorities of the day to yourself.

If you or anyone else reading this topic tries this routine out, I'd be happy to hear your feedback Cheesy

Cheers and congrats one more time!

A local adage in my place goes, 'person way dey ask question, e no dey mis road'. This translates to mean, 'someone who asks questions, never gets lost as per missing a turn on a road'.

Congratulations on your new ranked but don't you think the thread is too congested. I found it very difficult reading through and had to stop half way. I believe others most have had similar or exact experience with this thread. Try to arrange your thread properly next time. Also you should make used of spacing for each paragraph etc.

Glad you have gotten a clear picture what the forum is all about as the initial thought you had towards the forum won't have gotten you anywhere. The forum isn't all about bounties and spamming for post count as there's more to just engaging in discussion on the forum. I wish you success with your journey here, don't forget to enjoy your stay.

You make a bad decision to disclose your email. As I know, the forum hides your email by default so you truly changed it to disclose your email.

It is your choice but if you think it is risky (read my thread) and want to change. Go back to your profile: Account related settings, Hide email address from public? (choose it).
I really thought I've done that though, I'll see to it's effect just now.

TLDR; It's too long with lots of words. You are so patient to write it.

I am curious what you write from your post history and I visit your profile. You make a bad decision to disclose your email. As I know, the forum hides your email by default so you truly changed it to disclose your email.

INFORMATION GOT ME HERE
If your not informed, your deformed they say!
This post was originally supposed for a congratulation to myself but on a second thought, i choose to see how to live a mark on my community (Bitcointalk forum) by shading a light on the shades of Newbie and Jr. members not excluding those of higher ranks with a need to archive whatever goal they've set for themselves not just within the forum but in other spheres of life as well. A common saying goes, 'we rise by uplighting others' and for a fact, this is one of the values that better builds a community and no doubt, we've got that here so, I'm saying congratulations to all of us that has continued to upheld this virtue in the forum.
Its of note that we are all here to archive a goal of some sort and of our own design and this can best be done by working together as a team with each individual contributing his/her unique quality and only until everyone does that can the job be done. This i hope to archive as one of my core values and reform objectives in this forum by talking about my transition from being a Newbie to a Member and hope to inspire or grease up the fulcrum of some forum members to keep putting in work and by some chance, we are all going to keep attaining our goals.

On like many others who got involved in the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency field from articles on the net, TV broadcast, referral programs, stickers, etc. I got involved by listening to two bitcointalk forum members discuss in actual about the forum and to my amazement, I couldn't make sense out of what was being discussed. Though, nothing was hidden, the wordings where spilled off their mouth in total but, it didn't add-up to me. I occasionally heard them make use of terminologies like thread, OP, sticky thread, bounty and bounty hunting, exchange, Theymos and all though, Theymos turned out to be a forum member (Administrator) user but then yeah. These words and others came off their mouth occasionally at intervals accompanied with laughter, exclamation and some signs of amazement and yet, all I could make out of their discussion was phrases which doesn't tell anything. It was as though I wasn't there at all, to them, I was invisible! I guess I've changed that now or at least most of it.

How did/do I attain this?

*Asking questions
A local adage in my place goes, 'person way dey ask question, e no dey mis road'. This translates to mean, 'someone who asks questions, never gets lost as per missing a turn on a road'.
I had to ask these fellows now colleges that did managed to get me confused what it was that they were discussing about since, it was clearly not a matter of secrecy and they didn't fail to hint me on their topic of this discussion. They became my first link to bitcointalkforum, introduced me to the platform, groomed me on how to persist in the forum, never failing to answer my many unending questions on Bitcoin/Altcoins and now I've got a whole community (Bitcointalkforum) to do that for me. Of course I did some research myself before opening my account in actual on the 25th December, 2019 and since then, I've focused my time on learning the basics, trying to improve the forum myself and tried my hands on some trading. I can clearly say, everything has been worth the effort so far and fun too.

*Take a step
The first thing you do as to validating an acquired information to ensure it's value is brought forth is to take a step. This most of us have done by owning an account of our own but then, it doesn't end at that. For a fact, the forum is of a nature that it could be accessed without owning an account and seek information as it is it's nature but it's of disadvantage not owning an account as you can't raise your concerns or improve the quality of the forum. After owning an account, push on by seeking information and improve the quality of the forum by making quality contributions.

*Determination and Focus
These two are the next and most important things you need to help you persist in this forum, at least they did help and still get me through. Not excluding the efforts of forum members though.
You have to focus on your goal while you stay determined and keep to the path you need to archive this or these goals. These you do by you adding quality informative contents by virtue of your post to the different boards of this forum as you acquire informations yourself. Seek knowledge and learn with every step you take, see the rules as guidelines for they are what will get you where you should be.
For guides, check out link:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/newbies-read-before-posting-1689727
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.54906720

*The bounty hunting temptation
This is the part where most Newbie accounts fails. It's of note that many come to bitcointalkforum for what they could earn as per cryptocurrency or it's equivalent in Fiat and not what they could learn. Hence, many newbie accounts are focused on bounty hunting and it rather rules an invisible line across your user which leads the account to an undesirable end. Bounties is clearly a section of the forum and should be exploited but as a Newbie, bounty hunting tells a rather funny story and the forum is not quite fund of newbie accounts involved in bounty hunting. It drifts your time and attention from all you could learn to all you wish to earn and for a fact, bounty hunting is really time consuming and no fun as a newbie. Again, most of the bounties available for newbie participations often fails hence, they don't pay. It's not quite easy putting in work without some sort of reward as many may see it is rather too difficult but then, this is what you find on your way to success. Every post you make and isn't deleted is a success, being merited is a success. I got my first merit on the 30th June, 2020 and it gave me the necessary motivation I needed to push on. These too could be seen as a reward. It means you've improved the quality of this forum and as such, your an asset to the forum. Get in the game, seek knowledge and learn, you'll find it rather enjoyable and fun as you walk the path. Bounty hunting consumes your time and lives you void, information fills you up.

FINALLY
Congratulations
My first congratulations goes to you all forum members, not excluding the Newbies and Jr. members as these ranks tells the story of where I've been, how far I've gone and the ranks ahead of me tells the tales of where I need to be and how much work I must put in and inspires me by giving me a taste of victory every step on the way. Congratulations to you all and congratulation to me too. To have been willing to take the step and still persists in this forum and for now, I am of the member rank.
