Two fighters unofficially retired from UFC after this weekend, that is Luke Rockhold 37 years and Jose Aldo 35 years.
Both of them are amazing and they had fantastic fights in their carrier but I think it's correct for them to stop fighting at this point.
I will always remember how Luke Rockhold smearing his blood all over Costa face  Cheesy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLXTm5yP7aA

Luke Rockhold is one guy you don't want to mess around with if the fight was just on the street and not one inside the Octagon he would surely have kicked the crotch of Costa to make an illegal something just to beat Paulo Costa, I will never forget his weigh-in with his dog, and yeah that Smearing of the blood on Paulo Costa was out of desperation or he wants Costa to taste it, but surely Daniel Cormier have hugged Luke Rockhold while getting outside the event, and that is one sweet dude,

While Paulo Costa has tweeted that the referee was cheating and he wants UFC to have video referee assistance watching for a referee that is cheating but Costa is referring to both Rockhold and Romero Bodyshot knockout and he has pictures of it,

But those body shots were the Crotch shot he made and Rockhold and Romero were really in pain so the referee decided to take a break to sway that illegal shot that Costa gave to both fighters Paulo Costa's mind might be damaged by Israel Adesanya to be this kind of a thick-headed, that was an illegal blow he is trying to say a referee cheat but it was his cheating tactic to cause those low blow, I might be wanting Paulo Costa to be dealt with by Jan Blachowicz or Glover Teixeira but he is still starting with the Light Heavyweight division so I think that is impossible,

Leon Edwards showed his comeback in the fifth round after Usman took control of the scorecard dominance from the previous few rounds, I almost celebrated Usman's victory in the fifth round but who knows if 60 seconds could have changed the world, Leon Edwards threw his deadly kick at Usman's head until he knocked him down and the referee also stopped the fight for Leon Edwards with a TKO victory. The match was incredible even though Usman failed to defend the title, so congratulations to Leon Edwards on an incredible win in UFC title fight history.

Pretty much Leon Edwards has failed to be dominant towards Usman like what he did in the 1st round, his ground game was superb and pretty much Kamaru Usman had a hard time getting out from those leg lock pretty much after that Leon Edwards just forget about their game plan and that is how Kamaru Usman dominated the 3 next rounds, so for me, there will definitely a rematch in the making, Kamaru Usman will not let his belt stay on Leon Edwards for soo long, he will surely try and take it back,

Next UFC event now that everyone is exploring other memes of Kamaru Usman on the web, right now on the next event we will  have an exciting match and that is the

^That meme.  Grin
His eyes rolled back as he fell to the canvas and as when his head bounced it went back. I literally raped the replay.

I slept over last live UFC event so I had to watch main event fights today, and boy was I wrong with my predictions  Sad
Jose Aldo lost and he looked weak against Merab Dvalishvili, but this was one of the fights to forget quickly and I didn't see much action like I expected.
Like Joe said, the defense was still there. Dvalishvili had a hard time with him and Aldo was just smiling and laughing while he is banging his legs in the corner. But sadly, we don't see any offense from him anymore. I think his mental state is not ready yet.
Luke Rockhold announced this is probably going to be last fight in his carrier, he is getting older but he gave hi heart against Costa and it was very interesting fight to watch.
Rockhold felt he is having a hard time finishing a 3-rounder, what more if it's a 5-round fight? Lots of mistakes too in takedown attempts. Time to rest.
He did great showing Costa he should not be messing with him. Those last punches shook him a bit even though Rockhold was exhausted.

For me, it is surely exciting and interesting just by watching every fight you don't really know what may happen, and this fight is a great example, Leon Edwards mostly needed a KO/TKO to win the fight because Usman dominated the score cards, so out of something he created that kick that devastated Usman's brain to react and to fall down the canvass thinking what has happened, he was really shocked at the same didn't expect that Leon Edwards can pull something like that, for a rematch Leon Edwards needs to find another way in winning against Usman, or just trained himself defend on those takedowns,

I don't usually make fun of fighters but man...  Usman, what a pie shitter.  And imagine if also I picked Dvalishvili in my lottery ticket.  I would've had all wins and a draw before the main event and just lose it all in that fashion with Usman.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

What a shocker in main event that was! Usman was better in most rounds but I think Edwards coach was great motivating him and he pulled fantastic kick in the head that sent Usman to sleep.
Congratulations to new  Welterweight Champion Leon Edwards.

^ Not true Edwards won the first round. All the next 4 rounds would have been Usman if he wasn't kicked in the head. I think Edwards conditioned him to keep blocking leg kicks which is why Usman didn't expect he'd suddenly go for the head. Only a few believed Edwards will win and mostly just watched Usyk-AJ fight but holymolly, the ones who put their money on Edwards got +300.

In the interview he said. "The belt belongs to no one"  Did he mean he is a nobody? He isn't a nobody this time.

Y'all noticed Edwards imitating the McGregor strut after the fight?
I saw that as soon as the match was over, he started walking like him, what a match it was  Grin

Trying to be grind by Kamaru for almost 25 minutes, Edward won the match with a single hit. Usman is the p4p champion in the man he got the belt. The best of UFC. I wonder how his comeback will be, he will come back very ambitious.

Edwards got people dissmising him after the 'three piece and a soda' incident with Masvidal. However, unlike Masvidal, Edwards took the longer route and took his time gradually leting people know that he would be a problem. I can't say that in a rematch he would be able to retain the belt, but god damn that would be interesting to watch.

Leon Edwards really wants that win, that is why I think he really deserves it, he is a humble man not like Jorge Masvidal all he do was running from a fight, to save his title, but Dana White wants him to be out just like Nate Diaz, Dana White will be pitting him against Khamzat Chimaev, the new favorite of Dana White, for me if Kamaru Usman wants a rematch he can surely get it quickly, and if Leon Edwards wants it as well, and because Kamaru Usman really is dominating Edwards on the 2nd to the 4th rounds with the score cards but because of that Knockout the tables have been turned,

It was a really unexpected win especially after seeing how the fight went in the first four rounds edwards really needed the KO so he could win, it was a nasty kick i was really surprised he managed to caught usman off guard but after the fight i too thought that this style of fighting will not be good when he defends the title especially if its against usman or chimaev.

He surely needs to rely on a surprise attack like that to win against Usman, that faint punch with a sudden kick was really unpredictable, and those kicks were really devastating to really use, I think there is no defense for a sudden kick like that, side kicks was pretty much hard to handle, and pretty much that front kick from Chandler has unique touch from him,

I was actually looking for a better angle of that and then post it here but I couldn't find one. Cheesy

What an upset indeed by Edwards. Edwards will be celebrating his birthday in the next few days and this should be his most excellent birthday present ever. That was sweet revenge after losing to Usman during his early UFC days.

Thanks for the upset. I felt like the division is becoming more exciting and interesting now. How long Edwards can hold the belt? We will see who's the first one to get a title shot from him. Maybe an immediate rematch is looming. Is it going to be either Colby or Chimaev next? I prefer Colby or Chimaev. Still, Edwards as a champion will be an underdog against either of the top 3 ranked contenders.

I had a feeling that Edwards would upset Nigerian nightmare this night. First the odds (4 on Edwards) looked very high to me. Come on, top2 fighter of division and only 4. Then I had a feeling that kicks are the solution against Usman. And Edwards knows how and when to throw them. Punches are dangerous against Usman, wrestling is also a no. Edwards is left with kicks. But I saw him winning by point after gaining them from successful kick. Turned out that one of his kicks was more successful than others Cheesy

But I see a lot of troubles in defending this belt. Covington - hello wrestling and unlimited gas tank. Chimaev - I better wish Edwards a lot of luck.

We gonna see new fighter in pound-for-pound soon. Doubt that this is gonna be Edwards, as he is not in a list. Volkanovski on top1 ? Lol.

What makes it even more funny, Leon Edwards is not a knockout artist. Only one knockout in 14 UFC fights. And he knocks out best p4p fighter. Double lol. Usman has never been knockout in his career - gets KOed by a guy who does not have knocking power and usually wins by decision. Triple lol.

Edwards got people dissmising him after the 'three piece and a soda' incident with Masvidal. Beating Usman is career-defining and a highlight for Edwards heading to the last minute of the fight I thought it was just another game and another win for Usman, he turns to be defensive and just waits for the time to wind down Usman has no offense because he knew he is leading and knew it's just a matter of time he wants to protect his lead and that's his biggest mistake because Edwards is known as a fast kicker, the kick was so fast Usman did not see that coming, I'm sure there's a rematch here and Usman will try to correct that mistake.

This! He can enjoy and celebrate for now but soon monsters who are hungry for that title will come knocking at him.

Edwards fought defensively which I didn't like until round 5. Round 1 was the better him but it's like he was hit on the head and forgot he was the challenger until the crucial moment came at Round 5.  Yes, we know he had that one kick knockout (I was screaming in my lungs at the television to throw that kick) which is awesome but it had to land first.
It won't happen again if he will be on the same strategy as how he fought against Usman, mostly defense and it took a great toll on his energy, he is literally gassed out.
This is a learning point for him and the team, especially his coach. They must watch the film again and strengthen the weaknesses Edwards has to keep that belt. If Usman knew submission techniques, the fight may have ended earlier.

Leon Edwards has the real opportunity to score an upset when they fight for the title because Usman was rocked badly by Gilbert Burns, Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal and i consider Leon Edwards as a superior striker than the rest he faced and Usman is coming after a hand surgery, so who knows what will happen  Wink.

Say what !!! Really happy to see Leon Edwards win the title and shock the world. First round goes to Leon Edwards as he took down Kamaru Usman which was a surprise but in the second round Usman started hot and started imposing his fight plan and then he started to take him down but he never had the ground control and i was expecting the fight to go to the decision and another victory for Usman but Leon "Rocky" Edwards had other plans with less than a one minute to go with a picture perfect head kick knockout which was poetry in motion (faked the right hand, hide the leg kick with his left hand and Usman slept) Kiss.

UFC 278 results for my picks pretty much I was saddened by my choice and prediction didn't go so well but still, I am pretty amazed by the results,

Kamaru Usman VS Leon Edwards ROUND 5 KO/TKO - LOST

Leon Edwards indeed has taken the fight to Kamaru Usman that was one astonishing fight I never thought that the Nigerian Nightmare would have a hard time-fighting Edwards, those unexpected leg trips and takedown transition have proven that Leon Edwards really is something, and those kicks are the new meta in the UFC this is proven by Marlon Vera, Rose Namajunas, Umar Nurmagomedov, and now Leon Edwards, but on the 2nd round that poke again, just like what happened on the Belal Muhammad fight, but that 2nd round was for Usman, it was really a crazy fight and on the 5th round I think Leon Edwards was conditioning a kick to the body and then he delivers a left punch the kick was also approaching that was undetected by Usman, if Leon Edwards doesn't KO'ed Usman here Kamaru Usman will win this via Decision because of the Scorecards all judges scored Round 1 for Edwards while Round 2 to 4 was Scored for Usman, and after that fight Leon Edwards phone call his family about his victory, and was crying here is the VIDEO

Paulo Costa VS Luke Rockhold ROUND 3 DECISION - WIN

Paolo Costa was rocking aggressive toward Rockhold and also showboating to kick on the body, and when the fight progresses both fighters were bloodied and tired at the same time, it was a war for Costa VS Rockhold but at the 2nd round you can now see Rockhold running from Costa because of fatigue, and on the ground, you can see Rockhold just rub his blood on the face of Paulo Costa, you can say that Costa really returned,

José Aldo VS Merab Dvalishvili ROUND 3 DECISION - LOST

Merab Dvalishvili was fast to his feet, and those take-down attempts were really speedy but Aldo's takedown defense was great, and he surely checked those take-down attempts well, Dvalishvili really has the speed to be on far with Aldo's standup at 1st Merab Dvalishvili was just letting Aldo do his thing and maybe those takedown attempts was just to condition Aldo to put his guard down, I really never expected Aldo to lose here, but Dvalishvili really has set up something for his strike to enter Aldo's defense,

Marcin Tybura VS Alexandr Romanov ROUND 3 DECISION - LOST

I don't really know what I have watched but it was really a slow start for these two to settle a fight, or I am just bored about it, Romanov really had the power to carry and drop Tybura down, but surely Tybura out strike him that led to a decision win, but I was really bored while watching the fight,
