Lower volume generally equates with a more stable price.  After the huge crash and turbulent period afterwards it would be hard to not see volatility go down at this time.  Though my personal prediction is that in a few months the bottom will fall out of the market after ASICs have squeezed out the profit margin and miners liquidate more coins then the market can absorb.

I noticed that the volume of trading in mtgox and btc-e is decreasing is this normal?
