The people who hold the bitcoin from the very long period had become the millionaires during pandemic time.The pandemic time make the money steady one in the home,this made many people to buy the bitcoin for the free money which leads to the all time high of 60k+ and still people waiting for that 60k+ dollars.

Starting from a small investment is very easy, the difficult thing is how to make the investment gradually and according to the strategy that has been set. It is not easy to hold long term especially when the nearest price target has been reached. But to reach unreasonable prices certainly requires diamond hands and clear planning. After the discovery of Bitcoin, especially since 2016, people's perception towards it has started to change. Since 2016, major changes have been observed among investors. Initially people were not aware about Bitcoin, gradually people are getting attracted towards it. The position that Bitcoin has built over the past 12 years cannot be expected on any other platform. Bitcoin has delivered more than what people have come to expect from Bitcoin and this continuous improvement will continue into the future. Many people can predict to an extent where Bitcoin's position will go in the next 12 years than in the past 12 years.

In 2010, the price of a Bitcoin was around 1 cent, Bitcoin rose to its highest price in 2021 which reached around $70,000. What I will say here is that if a person tries to hold his investment after getting proper knowledge about Bitcoin and can do it for long term then he can definitely get more than his expectations from Bitcoin.

I have heard stories that a wealthy person has always spent only a few cents a day begging in the street for money. Nobody knew he had many acres of land and a house too. I know a person, who is mentally ill and he always begs for money to eat even though he is more wealthy than most of us. I don't know what kind of mental problem it is, but he understand everything. People are forget if we need to start from small to achieve bigger thing, people are only obsessed with the big thing in instant.

Instead of how to manage our money right now, they're always imagining if someone them $1 Million, they will use their so called financial management e.g. $100K for car, $100K for parents, $500K for business and $300K for investment or any other scenarios.

We can start to invest as small as possible without waiting until achieve x amount.

If investing is not our priority, even having extra money still won't go into investment instead, it go into useless stuff. But if we think about our future, even earning small money, we could still have extra money to start an investment. But you are right, we don't need to sacrifice our health just for the wants to save and have investments still we need to know what is our first priority and what is less priority. To have a better future, we have to make a plan earlier and a goal in life as this will serve as our motivation why we work hard and we should save money.

 I think these is purely Truth in as much Bitcoin is concerned now one can't totally survive it without any source if income even if your survive it will be very hard to achieve it fast one need little source of income and then cutdown expenditure as state, the cost of investing on Bitcoin can't be easily handled with income any investment made with income can be easily withdraw that is why is advisable for such to be put in place. Hunger is one thing that is serious barrier no body can withstand it when he have saving and no one will die why saving those are area one need tackle for to move out from things that we limit you from achieving the investment and making it at the end.

That's what I meant. Everyone cannot do these kinds of things and it's not necessary as well. People need to stay healthy and strong so they can work. So, it's never advised to save money without having a meal. You cannot even imagine doing these things if you have a family who needs food. Even men stay hungry to feed their family members. I have seen and heard a lot of times that the father didn't eat but they bought a good meal for their kids. You should invest only if you have some spare money.

This isnt really just that limited on Bitcoin investment but also in other things as well on which you would really be needing up to make some move for the better or for your future. Nothing could be reached out
without doing anything not unless if you do came from a wealthy family on which you could really be having those kind of advantage on which you wont really be that making yourself that be stressful in talks about

I am reading the part of your life journey. I hope many of people in the world have different kind of journey about life. you are the one of them. Your journey must be inspire us. For success of life we have to the same. Unfortunately now if we have no any cash flow did not think so about investment.

There is no other crypto investment that has succeeded more than a decade, it’s always been bitcoin so never hesitate but take the risk. But always do your own diligence to study and learn the process first because that will be your edge in winning your investment. Although bitcoin is not a perfect investment as it does not guarantee all time profits and rewards, but believe me it’s always better than any other crypto or physical investments around.

People have learned how difficult it is when we only have 1 source of income. It is just remembering 10 years, 20 years ago we just simply ignored many opportunities that we see around, and even Bitcoin because what is in our mind is that we already have enough without thinking inflations comes.

Now, we feel regret for not taking it and we realize how important to plan our future ahead of time. Just imagine why rich people become richer because they have plans already, they invest in something that they will think they could benefit from. without backup of your financials would really be hard on how you can handle your finances. because the tendency of selling your assets is always there if you have no other means of income. this is why for some holders, even if they don't want to sell, they need to sell because of tight budget. how can you blame them, right?

It is necessary for investors to have an additional source of income and to invest a portion in Bitcoin that does not affect the stability of their lives. Indeed, whoever does not have an additional source of income from which he can obtain a good salary will not succeed in becoming a long-term investor and will not be able to increase his holdings of Bitcoin. If he continues in this state, he is expected to make one of the wrong decisions. I agree that Bitcoin is one of the best investments that create wealth, but it is an investment that requires sacrifice, a plan, careful measures, risk management, and capital.

Without a source of income, you can't survive anywhere, either in real life or online. Until you become financially established and solvent, you should have a job or business to earn money. So that you can survive and invest in Bitcoin from your savings. Once you start investing following the DCA strategy, it will be a big amount one day. So you may come out of a poor life. It's good to see that you know about Bitcoin and try to accumulate it. I believe you can do something good with your crypto investment. You just need patience.

Though I'm curious, how did you obtain the money to invest given your years of financial hardship, unemployment, and self-discipline to save and buy bitcoin? Your story is incredibly inspirational. Have you asked your parents for money or anything like that? Nevertheless, your story demonstrates the value of perseverance and the capacity to grasp chances as they present themselves. For me, persevering in pursuing achievement in the face of difficulty in the real world requires a great deal of guts and determination.
 
I think it takes serious thought and risk management to invest in bitcoin; it's not an easy choice. The thing now is that such tremendous achievement isn't likely anymore within a short period of time with Bitcoin investment alone as Bitcoin doesn't give those jaw dropping ROI it gave a few years ago. Gone are those days. Altcoins can do that now but it depends of finding those gems that can do it.

If there is ability to bring the past back, it is similar to roll back the blockchain. This ability will not help Bitcoin to increase its value because we know lost bitcoins are donations to everyone.

Some estimations that about 3 or 4 millions of bitcoin already lost and it helps to reduce total circulating supply and total supply of Bitcoin. If you can go back to the past, those million bitcoins will not be lost. We will have more bitcoins to dump on the market in 2024 and we will not have a unique Spot ETF in history with limited supply.

If we can just bring back the past, I was certain that millions of people would invest in Bitcoin but we don't and what we have now is just to imagine if we buy them 12 years ago, we are rich already. But this is life, nobody had thought that Bitcoin would be valued that much because what we thought before was that it only disappeared. Sometimes we feel regrets but have to accept that most of us don't see the value of a particular thing early, it usually happens later. However, we still be happy as there's a chance left that is why we don't have to ignore this time and take the opportunity before it is gone forever.

I wish I did start 12 years ago and I would've been a millionaire already, I've started learning about bitcoin around 2015 or 2016 but I didn't really pursue an in-depth learning about it and then my classmates are talking about it when I was still in high school around 2017 and from then on, it's just continuous pursuit in knowledge and learning more how to be financially responsible day by day, I'm still glad though that I was able to learn and invest in bitcoin, the title is definitely right, there's really nothing like it and with the help of bitcoin, I'm probably going to live a really well off life if I just hodl and trust it to grow in the future.

However, investing in bitcoin is never a smooth sailing as well, like you could be an instant millionaire but you could also lose millions in a day, that it’s more like gambling for some. But with innermost conviction, taking the risk will be worth profitable in time.

Thanks for sharing little knowledge and experience before cashing out from Bitcoin and is not easy and it only takes courage to hold Bitcoin for a long period of time and again no other sources of income and you really take a good decision in the right time and I believe your millionaire by now and have been paid the price yesterday and Bitcoin is not get Rich quick, but get rich is sure as long you have the patience to pay the price.

Not all of us are destined to be successful in bitcoin but having that conviction and faith like yours is extraordinary. One may be totally motivated when starting to invest but when he start noticing the volatile price of bitcoin, he gets discouraged and think of quitting already. holding it for 12 years is too much. one has to sell especially in the bull market. it's not good for him not to learn to trade even at the time when the cycle renews.

i'm sure it's not just him who looks at BTC as their only way. i am close to an age where no company will accept me as a delivery man or a driver. i have no wealth but BTC too.

First of all, well done for sticking it through and keep believing in your dream. Without a job and no steady income it must have been especially hard to keep investing in Bitcoin. But you kept going and now you earn the reward for taking the risks. I do agree with you that bitcoins are a great investment for anybody and that every portfolio should own some coins. The problem with looking at long time periods in bitcoin is that the price increased so much. People who look at the price 10 years ago might get unhealthy expectations about the future. We are living now in a completely different world. Everybody knows about bitcoin and it's much harder to make 100% return today than it was several years ago. Investors who don't hold any bitcoin yet, need to be realistic with their return expectations. Otherwise this will only lead to disappointment and premature sales. The longer the time frame the more profitable a hodling strategy for Bitcoin. So, if you have some spare money today and don't need it, buy some bitcoin, forget about it and look in 12 years at it again.

Nothing is inifinite on earth, noticing an extraordinary performance in the past 12 (or 15) years doesn't mean it will be like that in the next 12 coming years. If you win 12 times in a row at a roll dice game, would you bet to win the 12 next times? Actually there are certainly less chances for Bitcoin to continue to rise higher than to go lower since more and more people are in profit and will want to take them at some points. Don't forget its ATH was more than 2 years ago now (November 2021).

"Slow and steady wins the race" is a suitable example in your case. I belong to a middle-class family, and for us life is a continuous struggle, but I am happy that you have achieved something. I believe that it is necessary that a person should have a steady source of income if he is looking to invest in Bitcoin or any other investment. If you have no income, how will you invest? Commitment and patience are important to succeed in life. Give your 100% and wait for the result, in the end, you will succeed or learn some valuable lessons. 

You have to understand that not everyone could do the things OP did to save his hard-earned Bitcoin. You could stay hungry for a day or two without having a meal or taking one meal a day when you are single. But, if you have a family and have a wife and child who need food, you cannot see them suffering from hunger. No father or a husband could see such situation.

I am glad I am not one of them. Of course investing in something that is likely to grow much is good. But, you have to think about your family and the health as well. Without a good health, you won't be able to survive for a long time. I do not suggest anyone to do the same thing. Always have meal when you can.

If you bought bitcoin and the price collapsed, selling is not an option at all, even if there is no source of income, because the point of investing is to increase funds. But you also need to be able to sell the grown bitcoin in time, since many are waiting for its further growth, and as a result, the price falls.

I agree with you people who come from poor families and have to work in bitcoin understand how difficult it is for them to work in bitcoin. Because once they lose the money somehow they face a lot of trouble and they have to invest very carefully.  I've heard many life stories on this forum about how risky it is to sell land and invest in Bitcoin. Only with that understanding, those who make such investments should check the market and invest. And for those who have more money or come from rich families, investing in Bitcoin is much easier. If they lose investment once then they can prepare for second investment without any problem financially. Of course, whether rich or poor in Bitcoin, they must acquire enough knowledge about Bitcoin. If they don't acquire enough knowledge about Bitcoin, they can't be successful. So we all should check the market and invest in Bitcoin with a long term plan so that we all can be successful with Bitcoin.

I also feel like you said, but for me I salute such achievements, it is difficult for me to be in such a position, but until now I continue to try better so that my knowledge about it increases. It is quite impressive when you are able to hold Bitcoin for 3 years and stick to your guns to hold on to it even when you have no income. I understand what it's like to hold Bitcoin when you have no source of income, it must be quite difficult in the beginning, especially when the market is bearish there will definitely be a desire to sell it, but you persist and eventually get a profit from your investment. This is a true investor, you set your goals from the start and stick to them until your profits are achieved.

Great achievements when it comes to early Bitcoin adopters, this is a good achievement when it comes to something like this. However, it is not everyone in a good state that can bring them selfs so low just because they are trying to achieve something that can profit them what they are respecting in future.

You are saying right. There is nothing before 12 years. A person sold 1000 Bitcoins to buy a pizza. If he holds their bitcoins, he can now buy a company of pizza.
No one knows that the price of Bitcoin pumped too much. Everyone says that it a scam or a shit coin.

As long as there is belief and effort, it will give results. Even though we often think that the results are not visible even though we have been there for years. Many of us stop because they feel they have been trying for years but there has been no change in their lives. But some still persist because they believe that change will come someday.

And they are only one step away from seeing the results. These are the ones who will continue to strive to be able to produce even more. They dare to take the risk of waiting for the change. These are the ones who can get more results than they can imagine.

Bitcoin has helped many people even though they still need to follow the Bitcoin journey from the start. If they are willing to try, there will be a way. And that's what they must realize and not give up even though they have been doing it for several years. We won't always be like this, and we still believe that our lives can change, and it will happen if we try.

I think your hypothesis is correct, as far as I know Bitcoin investment is not an easy journey and seeing someone that invest for this long without issue I agree with you that he was under parental care because apart from being under parental guidance I think he won't make it so far.

At least you are still alive? did not gather sickness for denying yourself food? since you can still post long story meaning you are still fine with your bitcoin.

I also did some sacrifices in life just to have my sustaining in investing but not to the extent that I need to eat one meal per day as this is insane.

First-of-all thanks for the OP.  I came to Bitcoin world in 2021.  But I didn't really know until the end of 2023 that Bitcoin can be held or what Bitcoin holding actually is.  Over the past few months I have been getting a better understanding of Bitcoin holdings.  And I am gaining knowledge little by little from all these sets of bitcoins.  Also I was offline for almost 1.5 year at the end of 2021.  Then I came to the Bitcoin world again.

Anyway, at this time today I thought I would hold bitcoin.  But I belong to a family who are not in a position to help me financially even after seeing the benefits of such work.  So I was a little worried.  Reading your thread today has given me a lot of relief.  I learned a lot of new things.  I have now made up my mind to save some money and hold bitcoin for the foreseeable future.  If you have any more suggestions for me about holding bitcoins, you'll help me as a little learner of the thread.

Reading your story, I felt like I was reading my very own story, for it looks exactly like the same, the only difference was or is that for me, I left my father's house at a very tender age, I could not complete my education because my dad married alot of wives and had no money to send all of us (his children) to school, so because of this, I could not complete my secondary education, so, as early as around 18 to 19 years old, I was already out to town and hustling on my own, I was already paying rent and was working for a company that paid me something to use to feed and pay my bills till the next salary, most times, I end up borrowing before the next salary arrives.

When I discovered bitcoin in 2016, even though I had no money to invest, something in me told me to hold on to this for it is my only means of opportunity to becoming rich in life and ending poverty in my family, and I held on.
And today, I will not say that I am rich yet, but I am very comfortable with how much I've achieved, and because becoming rich is a process for some people, I am still on that process of becoming rich.

Bitcoin is the way, its here to save lives and break people free from poverty, it all depends on how one approach it.

Those who think big and take risks will always find ways to improve and succeed but if we always feel uncertain and afraid, nothing we get but to remain where we are today.

Just like hearing many people regretting for not buying Bitcoin earlier and the reason are just the same - luck of trust and doubts.

The only thing I don’t understand is how you can depend on Bitcoin. Is this a new disease? Morality should always be the same; you can’t earn all the money.

Lol, this was after I made so much money from my Bitcoin investment, this thread was before I become who I am today, and the link you shared was after I have enough money to start my fashion designer business,  I don't know why this is very hard to believe for few people on here, there are people struggling in my country and they only eat when they can, they can go few days without food, have you ever been to any Slum before? I can say I was addicted to Bitcoin at the time, but I did it anyway.

Today I did paid heavily on my decision, my body got so weak and I felt like I was dying, but I have gotten passed this, I am now in a good shape, now I rest more and take good nutrition to help me get back in shape, I was accepting Bitcoin as means of payment but after the Ordinals came it became harder because few of my customers that used to pay in Bitcoin couldn't anymore, now it's back to normal but I haven't received any payment in BTC in a while now.

It seems OP has a successful business after all. Like I said before, it’s unrealistic for someone who can barely afford a three square meal to even think to use the little money they have to invest in bitcoin. Even with a die hard conviction that Bitcoin would be a profitable investment in the long term, it’s extremely difficult for someone in that condition to take such risks.

I would say it would have been worst than what you have mentioned, especially surviving on one meal a day and I am glad that your struggle didn't go in vain and indeed Bitcoin has been the best investment in last decade as no other asset can even come near to what Bitcoin has achieved but I am wondering you have an instinct or knowledge that Bitcoin's value will increase and it would be an investment medium. Everyone has their own share of struggle and sacrifices but conviction makes it successful at the end of the day. Good to see how Bitcoin has transformed lives for better.

I don't think I could suggest anyone invest in Bitcoin by eating one meal a day and investing the rest in Bitcoin. You have to understand that Bitcoin isn't the only thing where people can invest. You shouldn't invest in Bitcoin if you cannot afford to lose. A person should not invest in Bitcoin until he has some spare money that he does not need for the next couple of years.

We telling a story like Bitcoin is everything. But, you have to understand that Bitcoin is not everything. Not everyone could be success with Bitcoin. People struggle and suffer. They need food and money to invest in real life business from where they could make money everyday. Holding Bitcoin won't give you money everyday.

Conviction is a very powerful thing. Once you decide to invest, no matter how risky or doubtful it is, once the conviction is high, you will really do everything to make it happen. But honestly, investing without a good source of  income is like living a life that you aren’t sure how to survive. However, since you have no other bills to pay, you managed it and focus on growing your investment.

I believe what you did OP throughout your investment process is still very inspiring. Others would have turn their backs into bitcoin and leave it permanently, but you chose to stay determined and motivated because you believe in the power of bitcoin, that your future will only become brighter with the presence of bitcoin. And it totally paid off, now you are living your success I guess, one thing that will not be achieved by those who can’t stand on their investments.

I’m not one to doubt the struggles and challenges of another but I do believe that there is some exaggeration in certain parts of this story. It’s not realistic that someone that has no job and no means of income would be able to buy bitcoins. And the part of eating just once a day just to have enough to buy bitcoins is a little bit too much for me. I get that you are trying to motivate people to invest in bitcoin but you can do that without the Aladdin story.

Volatility and demand simply brought it for us and it is still a long way for this technology which is still not known by many countries at this point. Slowly, more companies are starting to adopt with blockchain technology which is really something to look forward with in the future. Truly a game changer in the world of investment and assets. But we shouldn't be too confident given that issues are still present and that Bitcoin still needs improvement especially with transaction fees and overall usage. For us, we all know how profitable it is as an investment but given the presence of risk, we should still managing factors affecting its market value. The rate of decline on its price is always faster than its uprise. Just a warning.
No one would be able to live with single investment unless you have many that it'll fill every gap concerning your daily expenses. With Bitcoin being profitable in this discussion, the increase is not consistent and continuous which means profit will only come in periods and seasons if you're in long term. And with short term investment into it, you won't always win for sure, no one can, which is a conflict if you are someone who plans to only engage into this technology as your primary source of income.

Indeed everyone's dream to someday have their own profitable investments but before you get in such financia state, you will be required of a decent and stable source of income 'coz that's simply a necessity to make a living. Take little steps and nothing will be succeeding over a single night.

Bravo OP, you really took risk for the fact that you invested your last dime and could endure the pressure of hunger and starvation. Your story stands as a motivation for newcomers. If I have had got to know about bitcoin as at 12 years ago, by now I would be a legend like you, I would have been doing more of reaping.
 12 years is not 12 days o. Your conviction is now putting food on your table. Now those that wanted to discourage you that you look older than your age will come to you for coaching.
Relating to me when I had the opportunity to join. Robbers attacked me and made away with my properties including my phone and my bank account. This really hindered my chance until the appointed time which is now.

It already did, I had so many appointment with my Doctor in 2022, something I am even feeling ashamed to share on here, most things went wrong in my body system, the Doc said I took a big risk for so long, and he said it will also take me a long time to fully recover again, I have indeed spend a lot of money on medication.

Now I believe that what we do today with our body will later show itself years later, it's like a debt that needs to be paid whether you have the money or not, I am fully ok now, I was told to do some exercise daily and also take some supplement to return some dead missing vitamins back to my body.

I will never advice anyone to do the same thing that I did, it was a risk I took that could have cost me my life, if anyone is struggling now I will advice them to find a job and start making some money first before even thinking about investing any penny.

As clarified by OP, it wasn't that he/she didn't have a source of income. It wasn't as if OP didn't have anything. He/she actually was receiving pocket money. He/she also had some side hustles online. As a matter of fact, aside from having online jobs and other ways to earn online, he/she even won from freebitco. So, he/she even has some spare amount for gambling. I find it a little bit hard to consider somebody eating only a single meal a day but can gamble and invest in Bitcoin.

Because If I am understanding your post correctly, you were basically living with your parents and thus you did not have any bills to worry about except for food? It might be a little extreme to only eat once a day but since you said you weren’t really working then I guess your body did not require much energy

Investing is a hard thing to do and you might be even lucky because anyone who do not have a job let alone a house could never afford to invest in bitcoin even if they had the money to invest in bitcoin, they would still need some money for themselves

I totally agree on you when you said that this bitcoin journey will be a lot easier if you have a stable source of income, that way you can invest consistently without worrying if you still have funds left for your daily survival. And honestly, bitcoin investment will be definitely hard and tough for someone like you who have no consistent flow of income, your faith for bitcoin must be very deep and endless.

It’s seldom to see someone like your faith and attitude towards your investment. A lot might have wanted to invest in bitcoin but only few have succeeded, because majority of them don’t see bitcoin as their future but only for short term profitability and benefits.

I prefer investing in bitcoins while I have regular job and whenever I got my salary, I will just simply invest some of it after I deducted the funds that I need for that month and that would be the best way to invest ever and you minimized the risk with it as well.

One of the comments i have read in this thread, OP might have a rough starting experience in his journey over the years probably because he had little money at the start of his journey but because he still has someone who provides for him it was easy for him to invest the little money he has.

There is no way one can invest in bitcoin without having money now as bitcoin investment is not as it was when it first started so yeah only rich people can make enough money for themselves in bitcoin investment in a short period. It is best for a person to build wealth before investing else one may just end up investing an amount they can’t afford to lose and probably invest due to fear of missing out.


Your story is quite touching; it takes a strong mind to stay committed and focused when faced with many obstacles along the way. Despite coming from a low-income background, you were able to overcome all of the challenges. However, investing in bitcoin requires money and one cannot invest without it. I know you said you were making a little money through some internet side gigs, which you were able to invest along with your pocket money.

I'm not sure where you're from, but in a typical African home like the one I come from in Nigeria, having pocket money and having been exposed to bitcoin back in the day is considered a blessing. Therefore, if you were from Nigeria, I wouldn't categorise you as coming from a poor family because in my country, people in your situation are considered average earners. Being from a poor family means that you can never earn anything close to pocket money because you have to work for your money in addition to feeding yourself. This is why it's very difficult for people from poor families to invest in bitcoin.

Social mobility according to your merit often only happens in societies that are administered by capable individuals and governments, when this is not the case, the only ones that can move forward are those that have connections with those in power or those that are exceptional on their skills.

So it can be very difficult to leave poverty behind for those individuals and they have to make massive sacrifices in order for this to happen, and the OP was able to achieve this due to his ability to understand that bitcoin was unlike any other investment they could pick and invested in it years ago.

Not financial advice, but I won't advise someone to starve himself because he wants to invest. Starving yourself can lead to even bigger health issues that your investment can't solve.

It's good that you're already disciplined enough to invest,  so by the time you get a source of income, it won't be a difficult task for you to set aside a percentage of your income for investment.
I doubt if you'll be able to hold for so long if you were fully dependent on yourself.
Don't rush it, don't feel like you're missing out, develop yourself and get more income.

OP, you've been through a lot. But you probably won. Your motivations could be somewhat shorter. Just invest in bitcoins, but you shouldn't skimp on your health. Otherwise, the time will come when your health will ask you for a very expensive bill.
Investments in Bitcoin should not be on the last dollar. Try for a while to find a source of income as an additional job, so as not to spoil your young, but, apparently no longer entirely healthy body.

Your journey is not easy but if you did able to earn some money with BTC then you should used it to apply for a job in your local place until you have a job then you can continue your Bitcoin journey and won't have to eat a single meal per day. As others have said, you shouldn't quit your job jsut because you earn money in crypto. This refers to those who have a job and yet they wanted to quit their job which in my opinion is that a person shouldn't quit their job just because they earn money in Bitcoin. They should think of crypto as a sideline and the money they earn from their job will be the main income.

I like the advise and tale of success you have deemed fit to share, op. In this day and age, to accumulate BTC on an empty stomach, with bills to pay, with a family or extended family to look out for, with other expenses rising, it would take discipline to maintain focus mostly when peers and friends are living fine and compelling one to do same as them.
Everyone has to find or work out the best possible approach to take to invest in BTC, because it is a more valuable option of crypto currency to HoDL and despite the halving, it would remain so unless Satoshi Nakamoto didn't plan well, but in this case so far seen and studied, BTC as a crypto currency is a successful initiative and everyone considering holding or making investment should do so.

What is to note however is that security of ones wallet is essential to a successful investment plan and shouldn't be taken lightly mostly when friends and peers are aware of such a venture.

I had the same thought after reading the story, especially the part where he said he ate 1 meal per day while living with his parents in their house because it can mean two things, his parents were either very poor they couldn't afford much and they were going through the same, or they were doing this deliberately so that he finds a job and starts living his own life because parents usually want us to stand on our feet as soon as possible. After all, they know how hard the practical life is.

However, indeed, things can't always go well for people who don't have any source of income. Most become homeless eventually and that is a struggle for life since you don't even have a place to live and you wander around on the streets hoping for a miracle that might change your life and give you some hope again.

Your bitcoin journey is scary and very rough just because you couldn't get a job or a means of income for yourself. Maybe if you had looked for a job by then, you would have had more bitcoin in your portfolio compare to what you have now. Getting a job is very important and with a job, DCA approach of buying bitcoin will give you that ease to grow your bitcoin investment gradually, as long as you are determined and disciplined just like OP.

Bitcoin is worth taking the risk to invest in because it has great potentials, and not only the investment side both it makes nobody to know if you own a bitcoin or not, until you tell them. Health is most important so you must have acceptable diet, meals daily to maintain your health. With good health, you can learn, find jobs and use salary to invest in bitcoin.

Bitcoin is best in risk management and ROI but there are other cryptocurrencies that provide better ROIs. The big reminder is they are more risky than Bitcoin and very few people can bet on right altcoins to gain bigger ROIs than Bitcoin.

People who live in countries that have good governance might not understand what many people who are been ruled by corrupt governments face. In some cases there are no means of survival because jobs are not given based on competence but on political patronage and corruption. In such societies, the poor get poorer and the rich richer. The worst part of it is that these poor citizens are also deprived of basic infrastructure that would have made life better for them.

It will usually take strong determination and diligence for people who have no political connection or financial backup to backup to break free from poverty. It usually takes as much depriving oneself of some basic needs because you need to save to invest. I encourage you OP to keep doing what is best for you but also ensure you take good care of yourself. Don't starve or deprive yourself of essential things that make life worth living. I also hope that your investment will keep increasing and will make you financially stable in the future.

I am motivated by your story, the world has never been an easy place for the male child, especially those who come from a poor home. Yes know that there investments out there that will make people become financially stable, but nothing does it like bitcoin. I have made a resolution that I will start my bitcoin journey, hopefully in few years from now I will tell my success story too. I have a little job am doing but the pay is not much but from it I am able to be buying bitcoin on weekly basis as I am being paid on Fridays. It was quit an impressive move to achieve your success. But starving yourself was not a good decision because food is life instead of that you should just cut expenses down to meet your weekly DCA. For example if your DCA strategy was sorpos to be $10per week, you will reduce it to 5 or $7 at least you will still have a little to feed . Design is the necessity of life and hence if not properly taken care of it might result to what will still Leed to selling of your save coin. So next time take good care of yourself, save in bitcoin and also have an emergency fund.

Coming from a rich family does not guarantee that their children have more advantage to invest than poor. You can't just generalise it because most rich folks also find it hard to lay their hands on their parents wealth. and some reason are because the parent thinks if their children are exposed to money early, it will corrupt them.  By so doing of creating a wrong expression make their children to hustle on their own. So not all rich kid has the opportunity to invest in Bitcoin because most of their parents are also not a fans of crypto currency.

Same here. I have no other means to make it to rise from poverty but Bitcoin. I have to keep on holding to the very little amount of BTC I have since it's the only wealth I have to go on.  If my family had some spare that they could invest in BTC, I would have told them to buy more but because of the rising prices of everything today, I doubt they will have something to set aside for something that is not tangible.

I'm just curious why you would have to eat one meal a day when you are living with your parents. You can serve your parents, be their handy man and do the house chores for them and cook for them, I'm sure they can feed you more than once a day.

We are actually on the same shoes mate, from pandemic to the recent supertyphoon that our provinces hard hit, I thought it will just end right there because I have no one to ask for help since signal coverage and electricity was restored more or less 7 months after the catastrophe. My mobile phone and laptop were fully damaged that is why I almost lose any hope.

With the courage to help myself and my family I sold my silver coins collections in the hope of slowly getting my self up on my own knees in other words this self reliance helps me slowly recover. I got few hundreds of dollars with those silver coins and bought a new android phone from it that is why I came back here on the forum though not yet fully recovered from that devastation and stressful days, Bitcoin paying signature campaigns really help me with my own and family's needs from the time I got accepted from it.

The biggest struggle for normal people, even more poor people of course, is that in order to make more money you need to make a big switch in the way you manage money and the way you live your life. Why? Because 1) nobody is there to explain you how finance works 2) you have so many problems simply covering all the monthly expenses that you don't even think about investing or stuff like that. That's the reason many people with low income will have a low income pretty much all their lives while rich people oftentimes get richer and richer. Of course if you already have money it's easier, but with the right mindset you can actually change your life. And this is exactly what bitcoin does.

Anybody that is privileged to learn about Bitcoin and do the right thing by holding it will not live to regret it, because before now, even till date, people are still skeptical about it, many people still liken Bitcoin to a Ponzi scheme where it'll crumble one day and people will lose all their investments. Understanding that Bitcoin is a reputable and valuable asset that guarantees financial freedom in the future is the way to go, it has the potentials to keep increasing in value as the years goes by. I was never in such a bad situation, but there was a time when I was just getting into the crypto market, when Bitcoin was crucial for me to be able to buy food, and I was a full-time student, so finding a different job was very hard. But I did need to pay the bills and rent a flat back then, which was partially why I was in somewhat of a struggle. I'm really happy that you managed to change your financial situation, I understand that escaping poverty (breaking the cycle of poverty, especially) is a very hard thing to do.
But when possible, I do think a person should earn money on a regular basis instead of fully relying on profits from long-term holding.

I'm a little bit confused with your story. You had no job but you were already investing, "gathering some Bitcoin for long term hold"? How did you do that? Where did you get the money?

And then you were wretched, looked old even if you were still young, and you even eat single meal a day, but you were living with your parents? You surely had it the easier way thanks to your parents but, still count all of your hardships with your own journey. And when you've like this is a do or die thing, you got me there because we've got the same opinion when I've known Bitcoin for the first time and understood that it's an investment. Looking at its past where people have probably bought it at a cheap rate might have been holding several years ago when I was still new. And by that time, I've realized that it's never too late and just like today, some newbies might think that they're still too early because like in the past that we've thought of the same thing. It might not be easy but if they've got conviction just as yours, it's never too late but things can be easier if you believe before it finally becomes stable in terms of its pricing soon. Without cahs flow, you do not have any means of putting money into Bitcoin, even if all your needs are catered for. Anyone joining Bitcoin now to get rich should realize also that the ROI is no where near what it was ten years ago. They would not get lambos with Bitcoin, except they already had a very good source of income.

Firstly I want to congratulate you on your achievements over the past 12 years. Anytime I come across Early adopters like you it make me wish I was an adopter too in the earliest time.
I must say you seem to be a very disciplined person from your write up because it takes a hell lot of discipline for someone to be able to hodl without a source of income. I bet if you didn't have some assistance from parents you may not have been able to. Because it seems very illogical to be hungry and claiming to hodl Bitcoin.

I don't know who needs to hear this, I had no job when I started gathering some Bitcoin for long term hold, I looked wreteched for few years, I eat single meal per day, I looked old at a young age, like those who don't want me to carry on my BTC journey used to tell me, but in the end it all went well, where did I get my conviction? I had no other means to have a better future than this, it was like a do or die something for me then, something inside me just appreciate the existence of BTC, like I know something like it was coming to safe me, which I can't advice anyone to do the same today.

What I am saying here is that it's still doable if you have the conviction to make things happen, if you crave for changes you will go any lent to make things happen in the right manner and ways, but having a source of income will make things more easier for you, I still considered my story as a easy one because I had my father then, I had a roof over my head in my parents home, and also I don't pay any bills, it was just me and my stomach to feed and my BTC wallet to fill up.
