But there are transactions which are not getting confirmed while this is happening.  It is block solving gone to waste..

If you invest a lot of money in ASIC hardware, you can decide what to put in the blocks you make.

What's the problem?

Every additional block makes the rest of the chain more secure.


The people actually making the transactions are also part of the "network", and should be more respected.  Solving empty blocks is pointless.

Tell me how that deserves a 25BTC reward... I think the reward system should be based on more than just pure luck.  Like... i dont know.. actual workmanship?

edit: perhaps actual ACCOMPLISHMENT is what I should have said.  What makes these transactions so special that they were this expensive on the system..
