Few years ago I've already heard this kind of news but I can't remember that tech guy who said that blockchain will be the most demanding industry after a year or two. And that guy's opinion became accurate.

It might be the fastest growing industry (in certain time frames), but it's still very small overall with growth limited to phases of mania when money easily changes hands. There's no indication that Libra or other cryptocurrency-related projects from big companies aren't mostly hot air.

With the start out of the mainstream multi-billion company, as Kakmakr said, they've started it out. Other companies won't let themselves on the last place of the race as they'll hire more devs that are focused with blockchain.

Yes, since the announcement that Facebook would be launching it's own Crypto currency soon, other companies have started to search for Blockchain developers to help them to develop their own Blockchain based technologies and this has significantly increased the demand for developers with Blockchain experience.  Roll Eyes

It will just get worst as more companies follow suit and if this venture from Facebook is successful. So it is now a good idea for people to experiment with their own Alt coins and to brush up on their Blockchain knowledge.  Wink
And after that,we would be flooded out by centralized coins but well it is better than have no recognition at all. This is an adverse effect

when Libra Coin launched yet we know the current standing of Facebook and any steps taken by this big company would really give out significant
impact it might not directly involve Bitcoin but at least we are already gaining some traction.

Development skills would really be in demand.Good to those people who had able to start up on much earlier.

This number is pretty insane. I was recently talking to a friend about how blockchain developers are a rare breed and truly hard to come by. I think what's going to happen is the development for putting together a blockchain simply and efficiently. I've heard of Nuls 'out-of-the-box' approach but haven't tried my hand at it.

Are there any other ideas to help this number?

The problem is that people don't pay attention to bitcoin while demand on integration of blockchain technologies increases. It's a great opportunity to learn blockchain and find high paying job and the great thing here is that you have almost zero opponent and demand on job is very high. Nowdays if you see, even governments try to implenet it, for example in land title registry, there were articles that walmart plans to implement it and etc, there is really serious demand and now is the chance to use it for you.

Bitcoin price goes up - companies start blockchain hype, trying to boost their stock by looking like they do bleeding-edge technologies, hence the demand for blockchain devs. In reality, most the work of said devs never sees daylight, it gets abandoned after it served its purpose of creating a publicity stunt. If blockchain was as legit as data science (the biggest recent tech discipline), the demand for it would be growing all the time, instead of only during Bitcoin bull markets.

If you take a look how many blockchain projects are out there and how many people are involved in crypto . Ofcourse not everybody know how to code , or do simple tasks around the code . But there is really alot of jobs available around blockchain and ofcourse they are well paid . I would really like to work a job associated with blockchain / crypto , but got no coding skills . I think its time to learn , never too late for that i guess

Is this the website? (https://nuls.io/), was a developer years ago, LOL, so it seems that NULS platform will help a lot of the blockchain developers out there. Good architecture, you can easily build something out of the layers making it easy for developers, specially integrating blockchain into other systems as well.

As for the demand, probably the figure is close enough because we all know that blockchain is still a fairly young technology and there are even a few schools who's offering a full course about it. So it's better to be ahead of the game, specially for new graduates, this could be a perfect opportunity to have a good job and of course a good salary.
