Just grab a router and install DDWRT on it. Then use that router to control your ASICS.
If I am not mistaken unless they make an ASIC device that is self contained you still need to leave a computer switched on and using electricity just to use the USB port. So they should stick an embedded computer chip and OS in them so you dont have too and maybe be able to ssh into the OS or provide a small lcd monitor to operate them.
