Hello.

I deal for the first time with PSU over 1000W and with psu from Thermaltake.
I want to buy Thermaltake Toughpower XT Gold 1475W   http://thermaltakeusa.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001812
Maybe you know something about Thermaltake with big power and about this model, noise in real condition, durability? what your opinion?
Any notes are interesting.
In future this psu will work with 3x7950

Thanks

7950 has a TDP of 200W and if you don't overclock/-volt it, it can't consume more than that. 3x200W=600W, + 150W for other parts (cpu, ram, hdd, fans, etc). A quality 850W PSU will power that system, but if you want some expansion space on it, take as big PSU as you can afford.

Almost all quality PSU's are near silent these days, those 120mm or bigger fans don't make much noise. High efficiency means less waste heat and that needs less air to cool it down.

That thermaltake looks good, plenty of pci-e cables, long warranty, 80+ gold, no multiple weak +12 rails, it's a solid unit.

Why do you need a 1475w PSU for three 7950's? A 1050w will be fine. Get a quality one such as Seasonic or a Seasonic OEM (XFX, etc).
