Any brands that you expected to see in the Top 10 but didn’t? Surprising to see that TikTok/Douyin is now becoming the most valuable social media brand in the world. I guess people really love watching lip-syncing celebrities.

The top 5 could be easily expected. As for Tiktok, I'm not really surprised if it has a great success that it gets to the top 10 and it's actually more than just lip-synching celebrities. Not everyone enjoys that kind of short videos, but Tiktok do have an algorithm that let's you enjoy the videos you've viewed the most or caught your interest in, just like any other social media platform that offers shorts videos. It became big with more than a billion users just like the mainstream social media platform, and they have integrated a unique features like Tiktok shops, series, and other features that let's the users earn more in engaging more with the platform. So, I'm not really surprised at all.

Seems like it should feature more brands then just western names, theres a couple in there but I cant help but think I should expect the time when the entire top ten is (for me) foreign words and/or brands I dont use directly.   India is about to overtake China in numbers of people, its the worlds largest democracy and so will have growth in a different way possibly in a larger way then China.   India currently does lots of work for others with their best workers going to Microsoft etc., I just wonder what occurs if India works for India and their best workers represent Indian companies.  I've owned stock of a few Indian companies but not that many truly massive ones, they are around and its easy to be a large company when you are part of such a large nation I just hope they invent lots of useful efficient things because that helps everyone in the global economy eventually, at present it is too western orientated for historical reasons imo,

In this new year, I am sure that many companies will be replaced, and there will also be many new companies that will sprout up and replace some of these companies on these kinds of ranking especially in top ten. It is not easy to get to the top, it is ot also easy to remain on top when you get to the top, so these companies will have to double up in their efforts to ensure that they remain on the ranking, either go up, or maintain their position and not loose it to another company.

Facebook is not in top ten brands it is very surprising but tiktok is there which is also very funny.  I find the Tik Tok issue very confusing.  But Apple Google these are actually the brands to be in the first row. Because they are known and teachable to many people. People are benefiting from them.  However, brand value refers to their service, the better the service, the higher the brand value.

I am actually surprised to see that Tesla are one of the top 10, because there has been a lot of people making bad comments about Tesla cars. There are also a lot of people that are very angry with Elon Musk about the changes that he has done with Twitter (X) and also the tweets that he has done on X.

Why are there not a lot more clothing brands on the list or some of the more popular car makers? In any way, congratulations to the companies that are on the list.   Tongue

Brand Finance came out with a report last week of their Top 100 companies by brand value. Brand value refers to the monetary worth and reputation of a brand in the market. It represents the financial impact a brand has on a company, and it's calculated based on various factors such as brand recognition, customer loyalty, market position, and overall perception among consumers and stakeholders.

Here are the Top 10 most valuable brands in the world in 2023 so far and their brand value in billions:

1. Amazon - $299.3
2. Apple - $297.5
3. Google - $281.4
4. Microsoft - $191.6
5. Walmart - $113.8
6. Samsung Group - $99.7
7. ICBC - $69.5
8. Verizon - $67.4
9. Tesla - $66.2
10. TikTok/Douyin - $65.7

https://www.visualcapitalist.com/top-100-brand-value-2023/

Any brands that you expected to see in the Top 10 but didn’t? Surprising to see that TikTok/Douyin is now becoming the most valuable social media brand in the world. I guess people really love watching lip-syncing celebrities.
Surprised that Samsung's a little lower on the list considering the fact that besides the fact that they are a global brand, they literally control the economy of South Korea, and to be beaten by a US only brand (Walmart) oof, that's gotta sting. Tesla should've been gone by now no thanks to Elon Musk but it seems like it's still clinging on for dear life, people are still kind of deluded by the Tesla dream despite the fact that most of their new releases including the cybertruck's been nothing but a massive disaster safety-wise.

Tiktok's to be expected here, from 2018 to 2023 they continue to be the biggest social media platform on the planet and they just continue being so great at what they do which most social media platforms nowadays couldn't somehow figure out.  What I'm surprised about is how Unilever's not here, as well as Nestle, since these two giants have been at it for decades now and they own their very own sets of subbrand/products that produces millions of dollars globally, and to be beaten by brands and entities that only operate on the US too, that's a little suspicious if I do say so myself.

Anyway, great list, stuff like these is ought to give you a valuable insight as to what the future shape of the market will be so for people out there who are looking to earn money trading stocks or bonds might as well check this list out for yourselves.

I am not surprised to see Tiktok to be in the top 10 of this list because of it's popularity worldwide despite being banned in some other countries. Shorts videos are on trend and majority of those people who use services or bought devices from those brands that was listed from 1-9 spends more time watching Tiktok videos but yeah we all know that socmed platforms won't last long so it is also not surprising to see Tiktok being wiped out from the list. 😁

Amazon, Google, and Apple are to be expected to dominate the market. These three are used by majority of the population, with their ties to technology, market, education, and general every day lives of the people. TikTok is surely making a name for itself as more and more users and brands are using it for marketing and entertainment.
Tik tok is totally different from these brands ,these brands value will raise in future because these  companies CEOs are legends. They changed the World with their  idea ,Every new idea shaped into creative things .We know Apple and when we hear apple name ,we visualize their products like iphones ,ipads, laptops and watches .There are hundreds of employees which are working for their companies.Apple Camera result is top class ,no company can compete with apple in this point of view .Now we talk about Tesla that provide electric cars and before these cars were not present in universe and they solve the problem of pollution .All companies which are growing because of problem solving idea.Tik Tok is not solving the problems of the people , That's why ,it is not in this list.Tik Tok is only a platform to make  fun ,there are no problem solving creativity .Tik tokers make videos and they got viral  and then they earn by advertising.

Amazon deserves to be the first because they are a sales giant since I was in school, the thing that makes Amazon the best because they always keep up with the times and are supported by a solid and strong team of analysts, a very pleasant experience if one day I can work at a top company that world.
So, what was your current academic stage now? College? If you're already graduated from it then it was impressive on how Amazon retain their position because usually most companies who will rank at first are then failing after a short period of time. Amazon proves that they are consistent and they are trying their best from time to time because they are aware that many companies around are also doing it.

I see that you have great ambition there and that is to join their team. Just want to say that don't stop dreaming but you better do your best to on your studies and improving your skills. If you think you already got what it takes, try to get in touch with them. Good luck buddy.

I'm not surprised by the list, but I don't understand why the evaluation is so low for some of them. I distinctly remember that some companies got over $1 trillion evaluation on the past, so seeing $300 billion as the top was kind of weird to me. I googled it, and it seems that there are companies (that includes Apple and Microsoft) with over a trillion in evaluation.
I assume the stark difference is due to brand evaluation being different from company evaluation...? Or why is it like that? If it's the same thing, how can the numbers differ so much?
I actually just noticed that too and it is pretty weird that there's such difference and general inaccuracy. Perhaps someone can link a more accurate and updated list with proper evaluation or maybe OP can conduct another research to edit the post.

IT sector always dominate because its really good business, like Apple, they could literally take advantage of the fact that the produces the phone through their preinstalled apps like app store and apple music, even apple tv to get additional income and its not some small amount of income either.
they quite literally getting free userbase as much as spotify through their apple music because it was preinstalled apps and some people couldn't get bothered with installing spotify, not to mention apple has made it complicated with spotify in term of subscription.
their business model i could honestly say, is really awesome in this regard, moreover, the fact that their customers aren't gonna easily switch over to the other platform.

Market cap and brand value would be two different figures as the company is more then just a brand.  I've held stock where they sold their old name, a company dating back over a hundred years thought it reasonable to just operate on a new name and sell the old one for millions.
You can see this with bankrupt companies sometimes, the entire value and stock of the company is not valued at anything but somebody will buy the brand recognition from the smoking ruins of a bankruptcy as this has its own worth over generations.
Funny thing about Apple is they have a collision with the Beatles members company of the same name.  They agreed no business was competing so both retained the name for decades though this might have changed recently obviously as OP mentions the name is pure gold now.

The fact that they are dominating when we are in an economic crisis is just amusing. They surely have the world-class management team and marketing team to make the company grow both financially and as brand value. We are positive about the top 4-5 companies since they are the old players in their respective fields with the hallmark of "work culture". These values will also grow in the future as we move further with technology, get over the economic crisis and there comes revolutionary acceptance of high-end techs. Most of them are tech companies and it's sad to see none of the biological/drug-based companies is making any progress with their balance sheet. It's obvious reaction to see that TikTok is also on the top list. Just a simple video-sharing platform taking over brand value. It's not even Instagram/meta, which was supposed to be older than TikTok.

I'm not surprised by the list, but I don't understand why the evaluation is so low for some of them. OP's information is incorrect, most of these companies are worth trillions of dollars, not just a few hundred billion dollars as the OP article stated. Apple and Amazon are companies worth nearly 3 trillion USD, and if I remember correctly, Apple is also the first company to reach a capitalization of 3 trillion USD in the world. That's also the reason I often say the cryptocurrency market is too small compared to the world, the total market capitalization is only 1/3 of Apple's capitalization, we are nothing compared to the world economy.

Well if that is true then you should quote the reference for the same.  Smiley

The mentioned list had the valuable names and it was the key for the economy of the most of the countries. The mentioned companies was the life source of the US economy too.Their evaluation was around trillion of dollars which is the enough for the most of the developing country to feed the food for their full population.Apple and Microsoft was the base for the many small IT sector, the small IT sector was ready to work for 24/7 for the top MNC like Apple and Microsoft. They are motivation to the small IT sectors.

I agree with you. It isn't surprising to have a sales giant like Amazon to be on top of the list with its performance and great services. However, it was a shock to have some brands to be there given how new they are compared to others, but that only shows how powerful social media is as many of them dominates in that area.

Btw, I believe Amazon is constantly seeking interns. Perhaps with the right skills you'll be able to start your dream there.

Yeah, they started slow but Jeff was able to built this to be an empire because of their customer service and how they deliver the project. So no wonder why they are in top of the list and going strong.

And with the huge demand specially in the pandemic and it's after effect (people tend to buy more online), they will remain as one of the giants in this industry. They even have a good affiliate program as well, so it's a win-win situation for those who want to make money from those who sell their items in Amazon as a affiliate, just like Tiktok right now.

Why are you surprised to know that social networks are creeping into each of our lives? I don't believe that today if someone owns a smartphone they don't own a social media account. Thanks to social networks that have allowed us to bring the whole world to us, we can communicate with people far away and know what they do every day. Or we can buy products without having to spend time going to the store, we can even make money from social networks...there are many benefits that social networks bring us. So I'm not surprised that tiktok and facebook are on the list of the world's leading companies.

The list is neither more nor less than quite predictable and "fair" about the brand value of the companies that precisely have more projection or "target" globally. It is a curious aspect that, for example, in the top 5, most of the brands positioned are precisely those that regardless of the quality (questionable or not) of their products have managed to obtain great popularity, which does not mean that it is. it is not fair, because in any case they have taken decades to position themselves, but out there there are countless emerging brands that offer products and / or services of very good quality that are overshadowed by technicalities and advertising gimmicks of consumer societies. Leaving aside the consumers and also the suppliers who expect to aspire or offer good alternative options and are distancing themselves from each other because of this fact..

Calculating the monetary value of a brand seems pointless to me. Nobody would pay 299 billion only for the sake of owning the brand "Amazon".
The actual people, who work in the company are the ones, who make the brand valuable.
The brand "Amazon" would be worthless, if Amazon was managed poorly and the customers were unsatisfied. The same thing applies to Google, Apple, Samsung and the rest of the companies. I'm not a big fan of Tesla and TikTok, but who cares. Grin
The company's brand is just a shiny package without any content inside.
By the way, I'm surprised that Meta/Facebook/Instagram isn't in the TOP 10. Maybe that's why Zuckerberg is desperate, so he created this "Threads" app. Grin
Your perception doesn't really make any sense. How is calculating the monetary value of a brand pointless when a brand is created only so that it gets popular and has a better monetary value over time? Nobody would pay $299b to own Amazon because nobody can, it's too expensive for someone to buy its ownership, even Elon Musk, who is the richest guy in the world cannot buy the ownership of Amazon because its brand value is too high for him, and that's because it has made that name for itself.

And, it's obviously the people behind those brands that made them worth this much, if they had poor management, they wouldn't reach those places in the first place. Why aren't local brands listed there? It's because they are poorly managed and they can't reach the scale as these big brands do because they were made so by their owners and management.
It is pointless to argue a 'what if' scenario, Amazon is there at the top precisely because it has everything that it needs to be at the top, and if we are honest they deserve that spot, their ability to move products all over the world and do so in time is incredible, no company can match their ability to deliver products all over the world, and it is because of this it has become so popular, as if you really need something to get to your door in two days or less, you buy from Amazon and you know they will not disappoint you.

Where is META? They have Facebook, WhatsApp and hundreds of companies affiliated with them, and a database that may represent more than a third of the world's population, with the possibility of changing state policies and influencing public opinion.

We are missing out on the AI applications that could make OpenAI and other leaders in this field valuable in market.
If AI applications at the same pace, we will see big changes on this list soon.
Also, the oil giants are not visible, such as Saudi Aramco Total and others.

Any brands that you expected to see in the Top 10 but didn’t? Surprising to see that TikTok/Douyin is now becoming the most valuable social media brand in the world. I guess people really love watching lip-syncing celebrities.
I had hoped to find Facebook and Twitter there, but to my surprise, they were not present. These two platforms are undeniably central to the world of information and data exchange. As of now, social media serves as the primary hub where businesses congregate, making the presence of both Facebook and Twitter highly anticipated due to their widespread popularity.

Their relentless innovation and well-crafted partnership strategies resonate effectively with a multitude of businesses. Nonetheless, it's truly astonishing to witness TikTok's greater success compared to Facebook and Twitter. Despite being a newer company, TikTok has managed to secure a spot in the top 10. Its impact is genuinely awe-inspiring, as it has emerged as the latest trend captivating the entire population.
Tik Tok has transformed into a social media that is liked by many people, many people immediately use it as a mandatory application because it has many benefits, and also following trends is an easy way to get profits, where previously, when Tik Tok was not yet famous, Facebook was rampant in cyberspace, of course this is a consideration that we must be able to see trends earlier to make a profit, especially now that Twitter is changing its logo which certainly affects the trend

It is well deserved for companies like Amazon, Apple, Google, and Microsoft to have these positions because they are all quite strong names and have achieved high positions in the list of the world's leading companies for a long time.

It is quite interesting to see that the chart has the name tiktok. Although it seems to be condemned in many countries, it is true that this name will still grow tremendously due to its access to users and customers, as well as its strong competitiveness, because I see that young people in the market use the TikTok application a lot.

It's funny to see that Twitter or Facebook don't even rank among first 10. I think people love more real brands like Amazon who has done well with connecting the world without hate speech or criticism.

It also goes to show that technology in the form of digital gadgets/devices, computer programs, Web3, Blockchain technology is in the fore front of world development hence why A.i brands in some years will make it to top of this list.

TikTok indeed found a way to attract a lot of users. People found a platform which they can access various communities which they belong to like fandom and people with the same interests and beliefs as them. Add that with the factor of entertainment that relates to the newest trend then they found the (almost) perfect formula for their platform's success. Hence, why I'm not surprise to see TikTok on this list.
I feel like they are going to be one of the biggest one day, but they can't really crack into top three that easily. I wonder why tencent is not there? We are talking about one of the biggest companies in the world, sure they do not make that much branding based on their tencent name, but anyone who knows what they own, would know that they are one of the biggest companies in the world running one of the biggest games and such all together, they are just huge.

I would put them near any other name in that list. Sure apple and amazon and tesla and all have great branding, but Tencent should be there too, it's big enough that I have heard about it a million times. Could replace verizon a lot quicker if you think about it.

Expansion that continues to be active and efficiency & innovation that the company continues to develop makes the position in the market stronger, in my country Amazon has a strong business network from upstream to downstream, and Google has also opened an official office so that advertising on Google is increasingly popular compared to other media such as other media such as other media television or something else.

Brand value is a conditional and abstract figure that can drop sharply if there is any scandal with the company (for example, like enron corporation due to its falsified reporting). Undoubtedly, as an investor who has bought shares in one of these companies, the brand value will not give anything, but this parameter can indirectly affect the current capitalization of the company, and hence your profitability. Brand value will be important if you are considering buying one of these companies. Smiley

Well, I have argued the opposite. Value investors, the best and most famous being Buffett, don't use brand value at all. They look closely at the company's numbers, and if they are going to buy enough shares to take control, they also look at the reputation of the management, although they can change it if they don't like it. I've bought shares quite a few times in my life and I didn't even know the concept.

The weird thing is that BlackRock has a stake in most of these companies lol, as if they're the master puppeteer pulling the strings from the background controlling the whole economy of the west through their investments and shit.
I've read too and no one knows the amount of their actual wealth even holds all that the company stock on the list. That possibility, they count all amounts of the asset company, not count who is behind the company like a shareholder. BlackRock stock is also divided to other companies like Vanguard, thus giving rise to a conspiracy like yours think. Another thing is no one knows who the real owner of Blackrock is. Because the information is still confusing about who can control the world economy. And, as far as I know, Blackrock owns all of the company's stock on the list.

I hate it when I'm acting like some sort of a deranged conspiracy theorist but at the same time with all this going on it leads me to think that there's just something awry within the systems of the biggest companies that makes them yield to BlackRock. Makes me think about the ETF they had with bitcoin and what it would do with the whole cryptocurrency industry now that they are practically vying to control a good portion of the market for themselves.

I am shocked to see ICBC as high as it is.  I work in finance and have never even heard of this company.  What shocks me ever more is that TikTok is at number 10!!!  I mean this can't be true is it?!

To add on to your point that it looks like people love to watch lip syncing to stupid dance videos by teenage girls half naked, what's worse is all the data that CHINESE owned TikTok steals from it's customers.  I fucking hate TikTok with a passion.  If you're smart, you'll stay of that shithole.

No surprise with the top 5 though, those were certainly expected.

Amazon, Google, and Apple are to be expected to dominate the market. These three are used by majority of the population, with their ties to technology, market, education, and general every day lives of the people. TikTok is surely making a name for itself as more and more users and brands are using it for marketing and entertainment.
When you made mentioned of tiktok you are referring to a social media and that social media you are referring Is what brands use to promote their markets, so right now I can not refer tiktok as money brand, it's a social media like Instagram, twitter and reddit and Facebook were things that is unaware by society is going to be aware, this is the thing I believe that is functional impact of tiktok, amazon Google play and others can be called money brands but tiktok I insisted.

Surprising to see that TikTok/Douyin is now becoming the most valuable social media brand in the world. I guess people really love watching lip-syncing celebrities.
It isn't surprising, AFAIK, they've got a huge userbase in the USA and that's why when Trump's was still in the office he did something crazy like banning it but people never stopped using it. But because of how catchy the contents are there and it's visible on how its team managed to gain a lot of users, it's able to beat the other two known brands.

Any brands that you expected to see in the Top 10 but didn’t? Surprising to see that TikTok/Douyin is now becoming the most valuable social media brand in the world. I guess people really love watching lip-syncing celebrities.
It is surprising but at the same time it is not, after all even if I do not use TikTok or similar platforms, at the same time I understand how popular they are and since TikTok has gotten so popular over the last years then it is not surprising that it is leaving the rest of the social media websites behind, probably the one that surprises me the most is Walmart, not because it is there but because of how low is its value compared with other brands, as literally there are Walmarts everywhere and I would have supposed its value to be much higher.

I know Meta would be part of the top 100 brands by value in 2023 but I was expecting it to be top 10. I am disappointed after all the progress they have made with their Threads app, I remember their stock shooting up they should be there. It is no surprise to particularly Google, Microsoft and Apple on top 10. They have been truly innovative. With Google's Chat AI and Microsoft creating theirs. Why are there no fashion and automobile brands aside Tesla in 10 top? Especially automobiles have been doing great with their switch to electric cars and smart cars if I may add.

As far as I understand they are measuring brand values which is not always economically relatable. Apple is heavy brand but without software and hardware's real value and budgets towards research and development it can mean nothing. I am not very surprised with list and I am expecting Tiktok to get even higher in that rank. Its popularity is beyond the sky and new generations love it a lot. It can increase its real value too.

The top brand is on the list, but I didn't expect that Facebook is not right there. They are one of the biggest names. added with twitter bought by Elon musk, but the most surprising right there is the TikTok we know this is one of the biggest trends of the social media because this is what want by the people a short clip vids and easier to navigate than the twitter, Instagram at facebook and also included with the e-commerce which can get a good referral or affiliate to earn, actually I don't know the Douyin is a TikTok because its mainly name to my country as tiktok only.

I am a bit surprise that Amazon is still managed to be on top, I really thought that Apple will beat them. But the thing that make most surprised is that the top 4 is still a tech companies. I mean with the recent covid and chip shortage I expect that tech brand will be less valuable and maybe a medical company will finally come up to top 10.
Other thing is that if the chip shortage wasn't happened maybe TSMC will be on the list.

Maybe the desired situation was the situation you mentioned, but they failed. The world somehow survived the epidemic. Things like the safety of vaccines are still debated. So it's normal to have technology companies at the top.

Since we are a consumer society, I am not surprised that Amazon is in the first place. I have never had any problems in terms of my user experience and I still use it. Customer satisfaction has kept this company at the top for years. People give up very quickly on things they are not satisfied with. Therefore, the fact that such companies are on the list shows the importance they give to their customers.

Surprised Amazon counts as a brand by itself especially, they are a retailer of other peoples brands and if only able to sell what they themselves originated they would not amount to even a hundreth as much they do by being a top retailer.
Tik-tok success does at least deploy freelance produce mostly only available on its own platform so its unique in someway so I'd accept it as a brand.  Their success is like candy floss, its very fast easy to digest and each video typically uses a snappy tune that becomes quickly popular despite endless repetition.

TikTok indeed found a way to attract a lot of users. People found a platform which they can access various communities which they belong to like fandom and people with the same interests and beliefs as them. Add that with the factor of entertainment that relates to the newest trend then they found the (almost) perfect formula for their platform's success. I was not familiar with the concept of brand value, although it is not entirely uncommon. I wonder what the concept is for if by market cap we already have those companies, although not in that order. Having the highest market cap in the world is not achieved by being a garbage company, nor by being among the top 10. From that point on, one can do more research on certain aspects.

If I want to buy shares of one of these companies, brand value doesn't bring me anything.

I seriously really really dislike Apple so much for their "branding". They are really not that great, and their hardware is not the best and yet they are the most expensive, this much is known and there is no reason for me to hate it, just don't buy it and move on right? Well that's wrong, because my wife believes all this apple crap and she thinks its the best and she keeps wanting stuff from apple, she got the phone first, which is a huge debt and we are already in incredible debt but she took a loan on her name and taking care of it, and we have so much debt to pay anyway, so its really not a smart idea at all, its a stupid move. Now? Now she wants iPad pro for "work" and by work I mean literally learning how to make money with it from drawing, she draws physically, like on canvas and stuff, we do not have anywhere NEAR that level of money, we could get much cheaper stuff, but noooooo... it has to be apple.

I'm just wondering why Tiktok was included there, it seems that it even beat Elon Musk's Twitter and Zuckerburg's Facebook. So if I'm not mistaken, there are other countries where Tiktok is banned? but I just heard this, I'm not sure if it's really true.
but there are also other countries that are using tiktok that if you look at most of them, it's almost like tiktok is what other people are living for just so they can make a living from it.

I looked at Tiktok's market value before. I was really surprised when Tiktok started to make its name. They invested in the right audience and their value continued to grow. They are distributing incredible levels of money. Many of its users earn their living from Tiktok.

If they had mentioned Tiktok before it was even established and said they would be on this list, I would definitely not believe it. But they succeeded.
Improvement of tiktok is so fast and he do not need a dozen years to achieve that, social media that only shows this short video is more than what is achieved by YouTube, Facebook and Twitter from the comparison of their calculations known by the world community, the movement is so rapid And I affirm that there are several countries that are counter to Tiktok, previously also like America that intersect with this social media platform because it is based on the privacy data of its citizens that can be moderated by Tiktok.

Apart from that I do not have the brand that I dream of so that in Top 10, because maybe I don't pay much attention to it because I don't invest my money in companies like this.

Yes, it seems that the top 3 list is very famous and everyone knows it. But even though Amazon has a large capitalization value, they never distribute dividends to their shareholders. They always use their profits for business development, so maybe that's one of the reasons why they are always at the forefront.

Do shareholders lose money because they never get stock dividends?

No, of course not. Even though Amazon never distributes dividends to shareholders, their share value always goes up. In the last 10 years, the value of Amazon's stock has increased by up to 20% annually, which is a larger amount when compared to the dividend payout. Apart from Amazon, Google and Apple also do not distribute dividends to shareholders

Here are the Top 10 most valuable brands in the world in 2023 so far and their brand value in billions:

1. Amazon - $299.3
2. Apple - $297.5
3. Google - $281.4
4. Microsoft - $191.6
5. Walmart - $113.8
6. Samsung Group - $99.7
7. ICBC - $69.5
8. Verizon - $67.4
9. Tesla - $66.2
10. TikTok/Douyin - $65.7
In my opinion, these companies really deserve to be ranked in the top 10 in the world, especially Amazon, Apple, Google and Microsoft. The four companies are always included in the ranks of the world's top 5. So I'm not too surprised by the company's entry into the top 10 in the world.
Because it can be clearly seen in terms of users and customers who are always busy every year.

But this year, to my surprise, several new companies have managed to climb into the top ten, namely Tesla and TikTok. These two companies have succeeded in shifting Facebook and Huawei, which entered the top ten in 2022.

It's not just lip syncing, but currently there are lots of features on TikTok that can be used by all users and this is one of the attractions that is very good and attractive to many people. Apart from that, there are many challenges that can be done on TikTok, so there are many people who want to try it. And with a short video duration, I think it's also a special attraction for TikTok. Because in my opinion, by watching videos with a short duration, I tend not to get bored quickly.

In my opinion, these are the factors that have made TikTok increasingly popular in the world.

I was 100% sure about the top 4 ones because we all know that they are among the best ones in the world and they will continue to dominate other brands for a long time. Although, I expected that Oracle would be in the list but that one isn't doing a lot and that's why it's not in the list of valuable brands.

TikTok has really made itself into the list and that shows the brand is going to cross Tesla in future. It's soon going to cross Tesla and Verizon and I hope that it will be number one social media platform to reach such levels on its own.
TikTok could have a chance to beat Tesla in market value only if Elon Musk would let it happen. Quite the competitive businessman, his product surpasses that of GM motors and according to the listings giving by the op, it's just a $1.2b difference between Verizon and Tesla. TikTok is a fast rising social media app, but I doubt it would surpass Tesla..it might stand a chance with Twitter but not the automobile company.

Brand Finance came out with a report last week of their Top 100 companies by brand value. Brand value refers to the monetary worth and reputation of a brand in the market. Am not surprised at seing the first four brands names listed here, they were reputable and of international recognition and these same organizations are part of the topmost rischest establishements and business hub around the world, we can see that non of this brands names listed needed to be advertised for among them because their name alone goes along way with the extent to which their reputation have existed, but they all started from somewhere, they are solution providers and what they do is to discover something and fix it's challenging problem.

I don't know what Microsoft paid products are stand out in my country apart from OS and office software. Quite surprised if it makes it to the top brand value list. Plus so far, Microsoft has often lagged behind competitors in innovation and has instead expanded support to companies that aren't too relevant to the technology (the last I knew, they're involved in vaccine projects).

Tiktok is really a surprising entry to this list. Tiktok's biggest market is US and you will be surprised to know that Tiktok is not accessible in China. Chinese government wants their kid to stay away from such distraction so they have banned it. It's available in China in the name of Douyin and it's a heavily regularised version of Tiktok.

Grin

There is actually a point in deriving a value for a brand. Technically a brand doesn't have a value, but it holds aspirational value. That's why you will see celebrities promoting brand. It does two things - generate trust and create aspirational value.

The concept of brand value was first coined in the 1980s when consumer goods manufacturers were forced to offer discounts to increase sales. In this case, many organizations are interested in increasing the brand value with patience. Anyone who works in the marketing world knows how important a brand is to an organization and in many cases its value is more valuable than the assets or equipment of the organization. Among the many assets that an organization possesses, one of the most important is its brand value.
