Many have been writing materials about bitcoin and the blockchain technology and all that they have in focus is to enlighten others to know more about cryptocurrency, you have done well by giving the required time and efforts in bringing this up, i believe there could be many to learn and discover about blockchain from this, as well as many having access to download or view the material/article online without any glitch.

Were you able to download it? I think I had a problem to my server exactly that day.

Yes, it's not very common as a topic, especially in the humanistic field. I had some people that liked it, but not from the academica. During my presentation the committee was composed mainly by professors who's field was literature or philosophy, so I've seen them yawn...

I downloaded the book and it is well-organised and easy to read. I will read it when I go on vacation next week. It is great to see scholars research novel topics that have not been over-researched. I like such a topic because you can defend your thesis easily since most supervisors or professors don't know much about the topic. They might be confused about most concepts and will give you good grades if you present them very well. You finished the thesis in 2022, I would like to know your score/grade in your thesis.

I hope you will find it interesting. I actually don't know which grade they assigned specifically to the thesis, but I know that it was not the maximum. Probably because, as you said, also professors don't know a lot about these topics.

I also have problems accessing the server.

What are the sources on which the thesis is based? Meaning that the history of Bitcoin, although it is recent, is not well documented and perhaps a large part of it is this forum, so is it not suitable as a reference for such theses?

In general, congratulations on completing the study of history

Thanks! Cheesy

At the end of the thesis, there are the sources, but I must admit that they could be improved significantly. My hope is that, with suggestions from the community, I can identify areas for improvement and potentially transform it into a "collective book."

It's true that Bitcoin is very recent; however, the thesis is not about the history of Bitcoin. Instead, it focuses on how this technology (specifically blockchain technology) can change political paradigms and how this phenomenon can be studied using "old" frameworks as well.

By the way, if you have problem at downloading it, I've also uploaded it here.

Hello, I just finished my three-year degree in History, discussing the following thesis: Blockchain: decentralization of currency, power and the state.

The idea that prompted me to choose this topic was to analyze the blockchain phenomenon from a historical or social science perspective, trying to complicate what we already know and trying to make this subject simple for those who are not technicians.

I am not sure if I have succeeded, but it is definitely a start, and those who start are halfway there. Now I would like to gather feedbacks and then publish it as an e-book.

If you would like to read it and let me know what you think, you can write to me publicly or privately.

As I said, I would like to keep updating it (or rewriting it) and then make it an e-book. Any advice is appreciated!

This discussion is a translation of this thread. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/tesi-blockchain-decentralizzazione-della-moneta-del-potere-e-dello-stato-5451100

The thesis was translated with DeepL, so probably there are still errors.  Undecided
Both links (blog post and direct download) seem to be down. But at least some of the topics in the index are catching my eye, like "Religions and forks" and "Decentralized violence". So did you get any attitude for your thesis defense? I mean this sounds like little out there and controversial subject.

I'll try to read at least some of this tomorrow. It seems lenghty and depending on the text i might have time. At least i would love to make time for it.

Sorry for my late replies, it's a long time that I don't check the forum.

Wow, this is really impressive and must have taken up so much time and research on your part. I have downloaded and started reading it and found your introduction really interesting. Now that I think about it, the blockchain is the natural evolution of all the technological evolutions the world has gone through. If I am understanding it right, the blockchain presents a new way of looking at history and how it will be perceived and understood in the future.

I will try to finish this and give my thoughts.

Thanks, I'm curious to receive some feedback.

And we'd defended it since we have knowledge about crypto and it might help students to learn from it.

Sure, that's why I was interested in a humanistic approach, maybe it could help other people to understand the potential of this new technology.

This is just a formulation of the idealist. If that is your project table of content and also if that is inside the main body of the project then it is a trash. You are not smart enough to convince the forum. Your topic is not will restructured to suit the table of content. Okay let me ask you a simple question if really a project of yours. From the Topical Sentence, which part is the Dependent Variable and independent Variable? He coming to the table where are chapters analysis? After the Introduction, it should be preface, and acknowledge, Then summary, you just start from introduction to no where. This your project is a very big lie. Because nobody writes school project plain like this.

I actually don't know what to say. This is - with just a couple of grammar corrections - my bachelor thesis, and it has been uploaded and used for my graduation... I know the structure could have been done in a better way, but I did it in this way. Next one (I hope) it will be better.

This is actually good, I remembered when I was in senior high school my friend suggested me to use cryptocurrency effectiveness into the economic situation as our research. I thought our professor would think of it as a joke but he'd agreed to our research title as long as we could provide informations for it. And we'd defended it since we have knowledge about crypto and it might help students to learn from it.

I decided to post the index, so it's easier to understand which topics are covered.  Smiley
