I have finalized my course schedule for fall, and I will be taking French. Hopefully I'll like it (or it won't be too bad, at least). Thanks a lot to everyone who replied! Smiley

Oh, I didn't know that.
Let's do a simple test with simple questions. No right to use Google translate or other

~~

Oh wow !!
It makes sense, I am pretty sure I did see Theymos meriting some french posts a few times.
Theymos, don't be shy, come and talk to us in the French section !

People already go too far on judging nationality as a vital characteristic.   A person could be born in Japan and never really grew up there or he could be a fluent speaker but somehow not be connected to Japan itself just learning the language via their parents.  There are any number of possibilities, in theory I have a history going back to Asia but I've never been near the place so its my DNA partially but its not my culture.   I'm just mentioning, its going to be very hard to guess from afar someones exact makeup or personal bias.
My personal take on Satoshi is it was a group of people, not a personal name just an alias for posting like is normally done.  Its very rarely I've used my real name for any online presence, I'd always recommend not giving out real data unless its required and I think thats good sense to teach children online for example as they need to keep a line between people they actually know properly.

big fan of Japanese people (country)
Thats very likely, its quite a distinctive country vs many others in the modern world which were run over by global empires long ago.   Japan if I've read rightly was quite 'late' to transform into a global orientated economy and culture so it has something ancient to it even now.

How many people actually know who Satoshi is/was?
Hopefully nobody so they are never bothered.   I've always thought it was related to the amount of trouble that PGP as disruptive technology managed to stumble into.

Satoshi probably wasn't Japanese. If you're trying to remain anonymous then you probably wouldn't choose popular names from your alleged native country. You'd probably choose one from somewhere else. Or maybe it's a double bluff... Yes, theymos is satoshi.

That makes sense, maybe Satoshi Nakamoto aka Theymos (sorry Sir) is a big fan of Japanese people (country) so he intended to use that pseudonym in purpose to trick us and remain unknown.

My guess is that he's busy reading manga and watching anime while living in Mt. Fuji

satoshi: means the smallest unit in the count of Bitcoin with a value of 1 = (bitcoin = 0.00000001 BTC), and so on.
Nakamoto: means a group or organization, meaning more than one person / plural.
I dont know Japanese. But, I was once told by a person, who knows Japanese, Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese Chinese, that Satoshi Nakamoto means Thinking clearly inside the foundation.

People are funny and strange, but only those who are trying to think, perhaps these are their best qualities.
What will the knowledge of the one who really is the creator of Bitcoin give? The questions will end there, or will you want to find this person and delve into his mind or dirty linen? What gives a person an accurate knowledge of this or other fact? Honor and authority, that he was the first one who know this?
What if in this world there is only one person, but millions of roles?

Think for a moment between theymos and satoshi.

1. https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/satoshi-3
satoshi
And
theymos
2. https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/satoshi-35

I'm not saying that theymos are satoshi.

There is no conclusive evidence that points to anybody being Satoshi.

Just a handful of people probably know who Satoshi is (or was).

Maybe "Satoshi" was a name given to a group of people that operated under one umbrella that created Bitcoin.

Maybe Satoshi was an individual.

We have no conclusive proof either way.

theymos uses a pseudonym but his real name is public and known (Michael Marquardt). I guess I can post it here, right?

And according to this[1] website, 130 million people speak Japanese in the world. Speaking Japanese doesn’t mean he is satoshi.

You need to find more connections before you start suggesting this.

[1] https://www.todaytranslations.com/about/language-history/japanese-language-history/

He could've changed into that 'real name', we will never really know his identity (how he looks like, living location, relatives, etc) which is a good thing.

@Theymos - just say - where you from ? Smiley

I don't think @theymos speaks Japanese because he used a Google translator to post on the Japanese board several months ago. I don't know Japanese so it's hard for me to look for that post/topic.
Generally, there was an abuse by a Merit source and @theymos reply with:

I'm starting to regret creating the Japanese section at all, since there are many posts there, but incredibly few that actually deserve merit. (It's especially frustrating for me because I can kinda-sorta speak Japanese, but not fluently enough that I could actually be an effective moderator or merit source there.)

The use of a pseudonym does not prove that Satoshi is Japanese.

Wouldn't this be better for the Bitcoin Discussion section if it's something about a satoshi speculation? This is not about the forum, at least not directly.
Actually it is true, this is the place for Bitcoin discussions.

Instead of changing my mind, I'm not discussing about Bitcoin but rather an understanding of the Forum which is currently managed by (theymos) and created by (satoshi).
Am I right.

I know in the Bitcoin section.
Frequently asked questions.
1. I found Satoshi.
2. The satoshi account is active again.
3. Bitcoin goes up and predicted. Etc

For at least days I can sleep well:
(Satoshi and theymos have never been found, although this Forum sinks like the sinking of satoshi, every human being can at least master at least 2 or 3 languages at once).

Back to the topic, that language does not become someone can be said it is the same person.
Is it true.

I might one day find something more beautiful here.

Regarding the theymos=satoshi I'm prety sure they are 2 different persons. Maybe thermos learn some Japaneses after all.

Or maybe it's a double bluff... Yes, theymos is satoshi.
Relax ....! No emotions, research, opinions, yes.
I did not say (theymos is satoshi).
I repeat: the above topic is wrong or correct.

Theymos learned Japanese but has still not proficient used that language.
It makes sense, every human being must have at least 2 or 3 languages.
What's more the number one person in this bitcointalk Forum, agree.

French.
Strongly agree. Makes sense.

Theymos learned Japanese but has still not proficient used that language.
Years ago, he opened a topic, asked for ideas that which languages he should choose to learn. Finally, he chose Japanese.
Which (natural) language should I learn?
Also, I intend to learn Japanese someday, and I'm worried that knowing the Chinese readings of characters would mess me up (or would it actually help?).

You have fair point. Nice doing some research. But I believe theymos is a single entity so better correct the verb is. There is some forum that discuss about him. You can check out here: https://bitco.in/forum/threads/who-is-theymos-and-what-did-he-do.87/

It is improbable that the person that designed bitcoin would also design the systems of control we see implemented here on this forum.

It is possible but seems unlikely to us. If he did turn out to be satoshi though that would be pretty interesting and improvement over many others that have been suggested.

Think for a moment between theymos and satoshi.

1. https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/satoshi-3
satoshi
And
theymos
2. https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/satoshi-35

I want to discuss a few meanings of: satoshi and theymos in the dictionary the names are not found whose names are satoshi and theymos.
A little discussion:
satoshi: means the smallest unit in the count of Bitcoin with a value of 1 = (bitcoin = 0.00000001 BTC), and so on.
Nakamoto: means a group or organization, meaning more than one person / plural.
theymos: also has meaning in the word: (verb).
Can be said (an action, existence, experience, or dynamic or beautiful understanding, wise there and others).

Meaning: satoshi and theymos do not use their real names, (using a pseudonym), the conclusion, is that at any time they will never be found either satoshi or theymos, because there is no real identity.

Now and so on.
Many people outside the forum and inside the Forum discuss Bitcoin and the Bitcointalk Forum.

1. Who invented bitcoin, surely people say satoshi nakamoto, if you look at it, it's definitely in japanese.
2. who makes the bitcointalk forum the same answer is satoshi nakamoto.

Since the birth of bitcoin and bitcointalk forums, no one can know the identity of who satoshi nakamoto and until now it is still a secret.

Satoshi lost like in the swallow of the earth, is that right, no one knows where and where is satoshi for now.

Bitcointalk forum for now entrusted to theymos, of course.

Have you ever imagined the figure of satoshi, for now where.
And have you ever thought of a brief posting (theymos), in native Japanese.

See below:

by: theymos
このスレッドは長すぎるようになりたから、ロックします。

( archive )

I'm not saying that theymos are satoshi.

When I see from the post above, at least it arises in my mind that (theymos) are Japanese.
And most likely the person closest to satoshi.

The conclusion is, theymos are satoshi and satoshi are theymos.

Am I right or wrong ...?

What do you think about this, accepted or not that: theymos is satoshi and satoshi is theymos.

Give your positive opinion.
