You followed the wrong thread (outdated one), use this one ("BadBear" hasn't been active in the community for quite some time, only send PM's to "theymos" and "Cyrus") instead:Follow this sticky thread (Recovering hacked accounts or accounts with lost passwords).
On a side note: Recovering accounts always take a very long time (more than a few months), since it isn't a priority for admins.

I have followed all requested steps to have my account unlocked. The thread says to email the address in the error message and to PM Theymos and BadBear, which I have done. However it appears that BadBear does not accept PMs from new accounts.... anyone else that may be able to help with this? I'm sure Theymos has a lot to tackle as it is.
I would appreciate any more assistance anyone can give to sort this out!

Yes, I have posted older addresses. Most of the older ones are from my blockchain wallet, which I do not believe you are able to sign a message with. I will look into them and see if I am able to sign a message with one of the older ones as well.

The word "banned" jumped out at me more than "locked" did, so I was thinking the worst!
I have followed the steps and submitted the unlock request and requested info via email and PM as the quoted thread suggested. Hopefully it will be sorted out!

My account has been banned suddenly this evening, and I have no idea why this would have happened? I've been a member for quite a while and never had any issues, was using my account earlier today with no problem, then went to change my password and log in afterwards and got a message I am banned?
