I'm not saying a new forum but a new user friendly, mobile friendly design of bitcointalk.org.  Theymos has posted here somewhere that they have been looking for some time. I believe there may even be some funds.   My though is I'm sure there are more then a few bitcoiners with the requisite skills to design and implement something

Oh.  Yeah, up to 3600+ BTC bounty for it here.  Lots of bids, not sure why nothing seems to be coming of it.  Maybe none of the bids look good enough.

Would anyone be interested in open sourcing a new BTC specific forum, or is that just a bad idea?

It would be like open-sourcing an alternative to Facebook.  Social network and forum software isn't hard to create, but most of the experience comes from the community, which will likely not move to a new platform overnight.

Just asking, its a bit hard to navigate on mobile phones with out needing to be zooming in and scrolling around.

Thanks

I can tell you this has very low priority on the list.

It's perfectly fine on my iPod touch, nexus 7, ect, What kind of phone you have ?

lol, WAP versions are so 2002

Don't know, even on my galaxy young (320x240) if you use opera mini, the text becomes adjusted so you don't have to scroll to sides at all.

Meh, the resolution is why I'm getting a GNex.

Doesn't tapatalk (sp?) work? I don't know because I refuse every time the pop-up comes up. On my screen the regular version works fine.

howdy
Tapatalk would be cool to use here on the forum, although it is not a free application.

I do suggest that the annoying popup message to be disabled (link) especially for those mobile devices that are not supported or those who don't use Tapatalk.
