I would say in simple terms is to just write up your own content instead of taking someone's else content and framing it as your own.If you are original in your ideas then you don't need to worry about it at all and that's important rather then making it more complex.

Semi-serious question : is it your own content or is it a plagiarism?
ahahaha  Grin Grin Grin. When I see your question, it made me laugh because the Op is talking about how to avoid plagiarism, yet he is plagiarizing one of his sub listed topics. well from my search on AI on the OP, he tried for the paraphrasing. Okay let discussing the topic at hand. To avoid plagiarism is not something that very difficult to deal with. All what to do is to write what you understand about the topic. Though are some words that will be used interchangeable.

The best way to do is to write on your own and know what you are writing. And material you take from the net or from somewhere else, quote the person and with doing that you appreciate the person who has the work.

Plagiarism on this forum is highly frowned upon and is a violation, especially if you provide an idea or post that originates from AI or similar applications.
I appreciate your efforts and intentions in providing knowledge and information to members of this forum about plagiarism, but it would be nice if you also included the source of the reference you used to educate us. So as not to create a negative perception of yourself.
It seems very clear to us as readers, I think you are also committing plagiarism here because you provide some information without including the reference source.
Many members reminded you OP, correct your post or at least include a reference source for what you are saying before it has a bad impact on yourself.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
This forum cares little about the types of plagiarism because it prohibits any form of such act. Maybe this can be useful in the academic field and not here.

CONSEQUENCES OF PLAGIARISM
It is becoming clearer that you used Chatgpt to make this post because there is no relationship between the message and the forum. The consequence of plagiarism on this forum is not academic failure but a permanent ban. You are correct that it can also damage the reputation of culprits.

No amount of plagiarism is accepted on the forum. In the academic environment, there are levels of percentage that are accepted.

Hmm, most of the strong comments on the OP for the plagiarism, How amusing is it a thread on Plagiarism and the feedback in posts is about the thread by itself AI-generated, as I haven't verified so no comments, just trying to conclude the above discussions..

The people who go the depth search for the pilgrims sometimes even claim that recurrent information is also a type of Palgrism which doesn't obviously make any sense for those I would like to say...

Recurrent information should not be considered plagiarism at least up to certain criteria as when the law of the entity is already described and its characteristics are discovered whenever it will be taken into the discussion over and over again the content will be recurrent. For a very common consideration, we can take Bitcoin. Whenever a newbie starts a discussion about it the feedback and the discussion on the topic always revolves around the source fabrication of the previous data.

I'm not sure what the purpose of this topic is. I guess it's not because of merit.  Undecided
I also don't understand how plagiarism can happen if you write your thoughts in your own words. Well, if we're already talking about how to avoid plagiarism, it's very simple. Whenever you see some interesting text somewhere, just don't copy/paste it here. Simply, don't.
You can say something about it in your own way and that's enough.

Plagiarism is when you take somebody work and present it as your own and it is different from Copy Right infringement which is when you use somebodies work without permission.

Plagiarism is unethical and a serious issue both in academic and professional world.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

Direct Plagiarism
Source Fabrication
Self-Plagiarism
Patchwriting
Paraphrasing Plagiarism

CONSEQUENCES OF PLAGIARISM

Plagiarism attracts a failing grade, academic withdrawer or degree revocation in an Educational institution. it also brings about loss of credibility and damage of reputation. Plagiarism does not contributes to the advancement of knowledge/understanding and can cause harm.

HOW MUCH PLAGIARISM IS ACCEPTED

Different institutions and Journals have different standard and there is no set rule for this. However, if a text has below 10% test it is considered ok but if it is above 20% the content is considered highly plagiarize.

BEST WAYS TO CHECK FOR PLAGIARISM

One of the best way to check for plagiarism is to use a plagiarism checker either paid or free. It is advisable you use paid. Examples of Plagiarism checker include; Viper, Grammarly, Scribbr, Turnitin, copyscape etc. These are tools that can help detect plagiarism in written content.

HOW TO REMOVE PLAGIARISM

Keep track of your Source.
Practice good Research and Writing Habit.
Cite and quote your text.
Paraphrase your text where necessary.
Go through Plagiarism text and rephrase it.

Above all be Smart.

For this forum, plagiarism is highly prohibited. So it shouldn't even cross your mind to even think twice about plagiarizing any of your content.
The best way for you not to plagiarized is to make sure, you write everything on your own, instead of plagiarizing, why not just give a reference to the original owner of the content you might be referring to.

Plagiarism attracts a failing grade, academic withdrawer or degree revocation in an Educational institution. it also brings about loss of credibility and damage of reputation. Plagiarism does not contributes to the advancement of knowledge/understanding and can cause harm.
When writing something like this you have to relate it to the forum for it to be meaningful to readers. The consequence of plagiarism here is a ban on the account, a failing grade is the consequence on an academic setting which is not what this is.

HOW TO REMOVE PLAGIARISM
Paraphrase your text where necessary.
Go through Plagiarism text and rephrase it.
Paraphrasing and rephrasing does not make a stolen content not to be plagiarism.
Two ways to avoid plagiarism:
  • Read the content to understand then write your reply entirely from what you remember, or
  • Copy the content and reference the source with full indication that it is a cited work.

Sometimes I laugh when u see people using another person's work to educate we that are here without even putting the link where they got that from. I think you rephrase another person's work to educate us. That is not a bad idea but I think you need to watch your words closely so that it's not going to come back and hunt you. Plagiarize is a big offense here and you need to be careful to drop like of whatsoever even writeup you want to use to educate us that is not originally your own.

I am not trying to be negative here or discourage you, but let's hope you follow your own post, I am just saying this since I've seen some members on this forum post about how to void plagiarism, how bad it is, etc... but ends up being caught plagiarising and getting banned from the forum because of it.

Why did you create a new thread related to plagiarism we already have a similar thread like this here on the forum.

If all the above is right if your content came from Chatgpt then that's not accurate. Don't use Chatgpt it's not a good source to learn about plagiarism.

If you want to learn about plagiarism here's the two similar threads that you can read below

You should mention here that, the percentage of accepting Plagiarism is zero on Bitcointalk. This means, if you are found guilty of making plagiarized posts then your account will be banned permanently without any warnings. So you/we have to be careful before making posts that might contain plagiarism content. When the era of AI tools started, many members here on BTT were banned permanently just because they were using AI bots to create answers or messages to post here. Which is immoral and against the rules of this forum too. So please, note that the acceptance percentage here on BTT is zero and you should edit the post and write it down.

I know you have made this post generally to represent the message that some platforms do provide some compensation but here on BTT, moderators, have no mercy for plagiarized poster

To be very honest, we don't really have to be involved in unnecessary work just to make your content plagiarized-free. This forum is simply a discussion platform where we reply to each other like we do discussions on chat but here the difference is we can not make single word, or single line messages. This means, we have to convey all the messages at once.

Direct Plagiarism

Self-Plagiarism
Patchwriting
Paraphrasing Plagiarism
All these are not necessary. Plagiarism is to copy and paste the article or writeup that belongs to someone else and not referring it with the necessary links. We are not in university learning about what plagiarism is, this is just a forum.

HOW TO REMOVE PLAGIARISM

Paraphrase your text where necessary.
Go through Plagiarism text and rephrase it.

If you paraphrase or rephrase, it means the same thing.

If you paraphrase the article or writeup that belongs to another person and you did not include the necessary link that refer to the original article or writeup, that is plagiarism. If you do that on this forum, you will be banned.

I first of all had a doubt that you yourself have copied this text generated directly from AI, however after a quick search, it seems like you have asked the AI to rephrase an already existing topic with this information and that doesn't get considered under AI Content as it simply replaces words with synonyms.

Coming back to the topic, the simplest way is to write what your brain is thinking while reading the topic.

Base on the forum I would say the easiest and simplest way to avoid plagiarism is to cite or reference the source or author no to long talk about that.

On a broader level i would say stick to share only about what you know and if necessary quote direct from a source what you copied. One can easily get caught up if you decide to continually paraphrase other people’s work

Semi-serious question : is it your own content or is it a plagiarism?

here is my wild guess : it is an AI written content.
Just asked chatgpt : "How to Avoid Plagiarism?"
And here is the answer

Quote
Avoiding plagiarism is crucial when creating any type of written work, whether it's an academic paper, a blog post, a report, or any other form of content. Plagiarism occurs when you use someone else's words, ideas, or work without proper attribution or without permission. To avoid plagiarism, follow these guidelines:

Understand What Plagiarism Is:
Familiarize yourself with different forms of plagiarism, such as direct copying, paraphrasing without proper citation, and self-plagiarism (using your own previously published work without citation).

Cite Your Sources:
Whenever you use someone else's ideas, quotes, or data, make sure to provide proper citations. Use a consistent citation style (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago) as required by your institution or publication.

Use Quotation Marks:
When directly quoting someone else's words, enclose the text in quotation marks and provide the source in your citation.

Paraphrase Properly:
If you need to rephrase someone else's work or ideas, ensure that you completely rewrite the content in your own words. You should still provide a citation to acknowledge the source of the original idea.

Attribute Ideas:
Even if you're not directly quoting or paraphrasing, you should still credit the source if you're using someone else's ideas or concepts. Provide proper attribution to the original author.

Use Plagiarism Detection Tools:
Many institutions and online platforms use plagiarism detection tools like Turnitin or Copyscape to identify copied content. You can also use these tools to check your work before submitting it.

Keep Detailed Notes:
While conducting research, keep organized notes that clearly distinguish your own thoughts from information obtained from external sources. This will make it easier to cite sources accurately later.

Understand Fair Use:
Familiarize yourself with the concept of fair use, which allows limited use of copyrighted material without permission. Be sure to adhere to the rules of fair use when incorporating copyrighted material into your work.

Create Original Work:
Whenever possible, strive to generate original content and ideas. Plagiarism is not just about copying; it also involves presenting someone else's ideas as your own.

Seek Permission:
If you plan to use copyrighted material extensively or in a way that exceeds fair use, seek permission from the copyright holder. This is especially important for images, graphics, and multimedia content.

Be Careful with Self-Plagiarism:
If you're reusing content from your previous work, make it clear in your current work and cite your previous publication.

Proofread and Edit:
Carefully review your work to ensure that all sources are properly cited and that you haven't accidentally plagiarized any content. Editing and proofreading can help catch unintentional plagiarism.

Seek Guidance:
If you're unsure about how to properly cite a source or have questions about plagiarism, consult your institution's guidelines, a writing center, or a professor for clarification.

Plagiarism is a serious ethical and academic offense that can have severe consequences, including academic penalties and damage to your reputation. By following these guidelines and practicing proper citation and attribution, you can avoid plagiarism and maintain your integrity as a writer or researcher.

It looks a bit like your post.
